Odd, firefox is accepting flautist as a word, and I've been playing flute since I was eight and have never heard anyone call it anything but a flautist.

I will have to go on a temporary hiatus of an undetermined length so that I can deal with a family matter either today or tomorrow. I will try to continue posting, but it will be incredibly sporadic, as I will not have easy access to the internet. If you wish to drop me or NPC me while I am gone I completely understand.

I will NPC you if it becomes neccesary (combat would be about the only thing that would require it). In the meantime, you'll just be a bit quiet.

Okay, so I have to convince the cleric to be evil....I'm sure glad there are no magical ways to compel people to do things they wouldn't normally do....that would make life very difficult for the party if their cleric was being magically compelled to try to kill them.
Compulsion can't make a person do something they wouldn't do. You'd have to magically change his alignment first, and then he wouldn't be a Cleric until he atoned from... a different cleric.

you're right....easier to just off him and replace him with a doppleganger or something.
An alternative ploy would be to deceive someone that the rest of the party have been killed and replaced by evil dopplegangers.

It's only been three pages into the game and you're saying Heilan and Teene disagree all the time.
We might need a couple more pages (and arguements) to confirm this.

I can't help but think that I'm in a vastly different time zone from the rest of you, judging by the fact that the discussion regarding the leader started when I was soundly asleep. Not that I'm complaining, just mentioning.
I have chronic insomnia. I haven't slept in 2 days. I'm just saying we might be in the same time zone, as when it came up it was about 4 am here.

Joan couldn't help but curse her politeness. Had he been quicker to speak her mind, she might have been able to volunteer herself as leader, but by now it seemed that the rest of the group was already content with Vassikyn being their leader. Not that there was an issue with him; in fact, he seemed quite capable, it's just that she would do equally well, at least! Rado would be her saving grace, however.
"A trial run, so to speak, sounds like a good idea, Rado. Rest assured, Vassikyn, that I say this not out of distrust in your abilities, but merely to find the best leader. I'm sure that there are other here that would serve well as leader!" With her last statement, Joan is very careful to take up a pose that makes her look larger and more imposing, while simultaneously attempting to look as elegant as possible. The effect doesn't really work, but she doesn't seem to notice.
Heilan of course assumed that Joan was talking about him being another candidate for leader...
This is mostly because of the efforts taken to portray Joan as young and in-experienced, Heilan wouldn't consider a stripling for the job of leader, that is for a veteran.

Of course he did. Nor would I recommend Joan as a leader, but she feels as though her schooling, which was quite thorough (as far as she's concerned) and recent means she's got the best qualifications. She is young and lacking experience, and while she'd probably do a passable job at leading for a while, she'd probably snap under pressure.
Which could be fun in its own way, of course.
Anyway, I'm in GMT-4, until daylight savings time ends. Eastern time, so I guess I'm not too far away from Tech and huyneo.
