Oooh, that Craft Living Puppet looks like a nifty feat. I guess I'll have to put some ranks in knowledge (earth and life sciences) at some point. Is that all one skill or two different knowledge skills, I couldn't tell? I also would have thought treat injury would be useful to such a process but what can I say, I'm not a doctor.
It's probably in the original few posts, but are we using armour? I'm a techie, so trying to protect my precious spanner-holding flesh seems important
Like, I've cycled through about 5 or 8 pages of material and couldn't find a comprehensive list of puppets including strength scores, just a few components.
The puppet cores are at the bottom of the components list. Small Combat, Small Utility, Medium Combat, Medium Utility, Large Combat, Large Utility, Animal, and Human.

They're intended to be designed by taking a core, looking at how many slots it has in it, then picking components to fill those slots. Each puppet is intended to be unique to its creator's play style, and I think the system does that rather well.

It's one skill. Basically it's botany and medical knowledge rolled into one.

A Living Puppet is more like binding your spirit to a construct. Your body is dead afterward.

Yes, you can buy armor. No, you don't have proficiency for free. But in d20 modern a lot of armor has non-proficiency bonuses for people who normally can't wear it.
EDIT: I'd like level-checks from Houshi and Yousuke. Houshi gets a +4 bonus due to being Large size against the intimidator's medium.

I figured four edits was unacceptable for a single post, so here we go: Team Maaya: The Hawk and the Ox.
Rion sent me a message that he was only selecting techniques, so I went ahead and posted the IC thread. Jacior will be replacing Keith whenever the rest of the team meets up with Maaya(again).
I feel that I'm posting too much. Should I just hold back until zeone can get a word in edgewise?
Nah, it's fine. Houshi isn't the front man in a conversation and I was busy literally all day yesterday. I got off of work and my friend was waiting outside my house to go see a movie. I worked 9 am to 6:30 pm. I wasn't able to get to a comp until 4 am cause right after the movie, hit the bar. I was still in my work clothes lol. I said f it, I'm going to bed.
Your character's description. His thoughts on being assigned a team. Saying Hello to your new jounin. Wondering how well he'll get along based on the rumors in the original post in the OOC thread. Thinking about what kind of teammates he'll have.
If the problem happens again, maybe you should reconsider your character. Perhaps playing someone you're more in tune with would help?
Hmm? Oh! No, I mean I am the kind of guy who responds more to a prod then a "Hear you are, do something." It's a habit I have. But you're right, I can make up a little something at the very least.
Well, I think I've gotten to grips with designing puppets rules. I think I'll just make 3 to start with, or maybe just 2 depending on how it goes. A small utility and a medium combat puppet would go well. Maybe make a couple of small combats in advance for next level, but who knows
Am I standing nex to Maaya? Or am I somewhere different? Little confused on that point.
You're beside Kaede.

His dark eyes flicker between Maaya and the very young boy at his side, but his grin never changes. The boy in question wears long, dark grey shorts, a black hooded t-shirt, and black sandals. He wears his Soragakure forehead protector as a necklace. His hair is startlingly, naturally, bright white and needs a bit of a trim. He has yellow eyes too, which make him quite the oddity.
Plus the other stuff is ripped straight from your sheet, implying it's you.
Oh, so you assumed you'd refer to yourself in the third person? 'Cause unless Maaya identifies as male then the only other "his" in the scene is Kaede.

You can't look at someone beside you in your peripheral vision?
You're just picking on me. And no, I wouldn't really glance at someone in that manner unless I had more than peripheral vision.
The point of looking at your character was to draw Maaya's attention toward him, and thus give Maaya incentive to engage in a conversation with your character.
