I know, I'm just saying the melee environment won't be too friendly to my barely competent self. I shifted around my levels to Smart 4/Puppeteer 1 to gain another class ability, but I'm already feeling it isn't worth it. Ah well, it's 3am - nothing productive ever got done at 3am that wasn't related to national security. I'll deal with it all in the morning, and don't worry, I wasn't planning on taking both. One would be enough. I think in the morning I'll try and hunt down everyone else's character sheets so I can know what techniques we already have on teh team. I kidn of have a little bit of everything. Excep funinjutsu, ironically, considering that seemed to most vital to crafting from what I saw. Ah, I'm sure I'll rectify it at later levels.
I'm shocked you were able to keep track of the slightest skill point. I guess the sheet had an automated counter, but even then there was just a couple of times I forgot to hit the box to mark something as a class skill (puppeteer had different class skills to smart hero you see) so there;'s kind or a margin for error there.

Well the original GM told us not to share character sheets (I've avoided looking at your sheet) but if ZeroNumerous gives the okay I can link it/PM it to you.

I don't really care, because I trust people to keep OOC knowledge and IC knowledge separate.
It's entirely up to you whether you share your sheet or not.
EDIT:

It doesn't keep track like that. It only counts what points are spent and which skills are class skills at the time you're looking at it. You were at 105, you got 16 free points from your Archetype, which meant you had spent 89. With Smart 3/Puppeteer 2, you'd have gained 12 skill points for 3 levels and 8 skill points for 2 levels(12*4+12*2+8*2), which is a total of 88.

4(BAB) + 4(DEX) + 1(Speed Rank 2) + 1(Strength Rank 1) +2(Charge) for a total of 12 on the unarmed attack. The Rank 2 speed was only activated for the unarmed attack.

Ah. Okay. So I was adding up the wrong things. Forgot it was unarmed.
Erm... I really can't respond to myself. Where did my team go?
I dunno. It's getting a bit irritating. Tell ya what: Come Friday, if no one's responded to PMs or the thread, I'll cut our losses and make it a solo game.
Hey, I looked over the classes and found that the reason I was going to take another level of smart to be extremely ill informed, possibly owing to it being so very late at night. But I still feel like I could use that extra level on something other than Puppeteer if it would be more useful - which is to say I was thinking of shifting around my skill points to qualify for and take a level 1 dip in Medical Specialist, on the understanding that an otherwise melee team might benefit more from a healer.

Currently looking up how to gain an elemental affinity. There were alternatives to humans, Fire Humans and such I think, but with the loss of skill points it would be quite troublesome to rearrange a whole 8 skill points. Yet without such a thing, learning any decent blast ninjutsu is quite troublesome. Eh, I guess trickery is a good enough role but still, at some point I'll probably be called upon to dfen myself, you know?

You gain an elemental affinity at level 1, then again at level 10, 15, and 20. This applies to both elemental humans and normal humans.
Ah, good call. That feat is AWESOME! Actually, going over everything I'm strongly considering dropping my level in puppeteer - I'll level into it later, but I'm a bit feat starved and puppet combat is currently so complicated that I may be better off just getting used to running a more 'standard' character. I do plan on eventually gaining a good few puppets and even becoming a living puppet myself if we get epic enough, but I don't know how much use a puppet would be on the first adventure. Eh, maybe I'm being pessimistic though.
And now to ask my several-dozenth favour of ZN and ask if instead of the cautious feat from my archetype I could gain the Craft Puppets feat. I know that's unreasonable and I fully expect a know. It's just I've been going over the feats chapter and there's so many wonderful things - DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE! I was considering switching my archetype to medic and saying Amon is taken in as the group's medic, and is trained as such, but kind of defies expectation by hanging around with and tinkering engines with greater enthusiasm than anything else, viewing the human body as just another machine. COme to think of it, Reverse doctor may be the best feat ever.

Hey, could I get an NPC for Amon to study puppetry under? Actually, I'll make them myself. It won't be any sort of combat advantage or anything, just a nifty mentor figure outside her family. Work on that tomorrow. I think it may be the last touch my character needs to really work.

No, because archetypes are intended to be fairly concrete. But don't forget that Techie adds Craft Puppets to every single bonus feat list you ever have.

That's fine.

Totally understandable. Sir Shadow dropped out, and Valgunn is "busy" with no other explanation. So I'll roll you guys into a team tomorrow morning.
Doe sthat mean we'll have a four person team? Cool, if so.
Amon should be ready to go later today, my inspiration finally struck. I have afriend coming over in about an hour for most of the day, but once that whole social interaction thing is over I might actually finish stating up this character, because I finally thought of a cool background. I also noticed that Craft Puppets is not a prerequisite of the Puppeteer class, so that's good. It means I can do a plot point involving my personal teacher giving me my very own puppet once I've proved my worth with a mission or two (i.e. he'll give me the first puppet he started out with just as soon as I hit my next level and take a level in puppeteer).

If you guys don't have any other questions/things to do, then I'll wrap up the day for Team Cybele. You guys will have the standard 8 hours of training time, and just enough time to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow morning.
