Ooo I didn't know that about your character. The gun incident was a reasonable enough reaction I think. Just a bit of fun to poke at it.
The sara situation is pretty interesting. Curious what she has going on, seems like she a high class ship (though she is kinda broken to heck right now)
As for the suspicions, my guy might be similar in some ways. At least at first, I mean hes an alien in a xenophobic galaxy and his race haven't been treated the nicest. So unless you guys find out for yourself he'll most likely keep it hidden till he thinks you guys are trust worthy (rebels and not hating aliens is sure to work.)
as far as the Sara situation goes I'm gonna quote a famous baron administrator, "It's not my fault!" and I never screamed, just strategically retreated, like a little girl.

Heh, I like how we all have a very similar skill set. If being rebels/adventurers/mercenaries (or whatever career we go on) doesn't work out for us we could always start up a transport business ooo or work at a ship yard.

Actually Kaz was kinda set up to be a bit of a ship thief. but now that sara's been introduced I don't think I'll have a chance to steal anything. but again, ya never know.
Um, that was, uh, quite possibly one of the worst buttons that you could have pressed regarding Grace.
Yes, she just shot you.
I don't think I hit, but that depends on if Kaz was flat-footed or not for the shot. I don't think she counts as such, but...*shrugs*

Wow, Grace is a bit of a crazy girl huh? and since you shot I believe you missed, kaz's defense is 16. not sure what flat footed would do, but I don't think that would be up to me. i was surprised, how was I supposed to know that Grace would react that way. what's the story there anyways? can't we all just get along?

Erm dnd gives a better line for surprise so I'll quote that.
Surprise: "When a combat starts, if you are not aware of your opponents and they are aware of you, you're surprised."
Flat footed: "At the start of a battle, before your first regular turn in the iniative order, you are flat-footed. You can't use your dexterity bonus (if any) while flat-footed."
DX is pvp even allowed, *hyperventilates*

1 When combat begins, all combatants roll initiative.
2 Determine which characters are aware of their opponents. These characters can act during a surprise round. If all the characters are aware of their opponents, proceed with normal rounds. See the surprise section for more information.
3 After the surprise round (if any), all combatants are ready to begin the first normal round of combat.
4 Combatants act in initiative order (highest to lowest).
5 When everyone has had a turn, the next round begins with the combatant with the highest initiative, and steps 3 and 4 repeat until combat ends.
I think I'm gonna quit posting in character until we hear from holice and lentrax. you do something nice for someone share your opinion and they try to shoot you. what the hell? okay i'll probably will, but i hope lentrax will weigh in. at least to clarify the shot missing anyways.
Lets just say that life debts and Grace - specifically casual life debts like what Kaz just implied - don't have a particularly nice history. Where a not particularly nice history involves her younger brother dying.
So..yeah. Kinda a sore spot. Bad luck on Kaz's part really, as this is something she literally couldn't have known. But that's half the fun

I guess thats what being frozen does for you. in the future life debts just don't mean the same. i suppose thats unfortunate, but we still need to wait for lentrax and how he calls the shot, literally. like I said before kaz's defense is 16, but I think it's different if she was indeed caught flat-footed. And right now kazs brother is rumored to be dead due to his involvment with the local rebel cell on nar shadda. but no harm no foul, we both have a lot to find out about each other if what i've heard from lentrax is true.
anyway, i've had about 45 mins. of sleep today, which isn't much considering i've been up all night and most of the day. so i'm gonna get some sleep and hopefully i didn't get shot so kaz can freakout on grace. peace!
Ruling: Kaz is not flatfooted, with a blaster pointed at her, Grace let Kaz move her bag so she would be able to access her blaster, thus I rule both of you were prepared for a fight, it was just a question of who shot first. In this case, it was Grace.

@snowfire did you have a chance to read Kaz's rant? I posted a few hours ago. I rolled a crappy initiative, but hopefully we won't have to duke it out. I really don't want have to make a new character this early i the campaign. Our chararcters are woman, le them not be catty and let them be bff's that love to go shopping at elaborate shops and gossip about Robb and when he's intoed luum.
Just posted a response to Kaz. Grace is...well...having difficulty adjusting. She grew up in the midst of one of the most brutal and vicious wars in galactic history. And she lost a lot to that conflict.
She'll mellow out eventually - probably faster with help from Kaz - but for now she's forcing herself to be hard, mainly because she's brittle as glass on a personal/emotional level.

Yeah kaz can relate with the brother thing, not sure if you checked out her background or not. with what I've said about her brother. She believes that he's still alive out there somewhere. She actually has his jacket (one similar to what Han wore in Empire) waiting to give it back to him. She wears it on occasion. anyway i'm glad that we won't have to have a fight to the death, cuz I don't think Kaz would do very well. You know considering how the battle with the droids went.

I read everyone's back story, well people that wrote theirs down. P: I like to read peoples what people write, see how they do it and stuff like that. Ah interesting, I didn't know she still wore it. Figured she kept it under lock and key.
She doesn't wear it a lot, its a little big for her frame, but when she's lonely she wears it to remember him and all the fun they had growing up. besides you cant wear a spacesuit all the time. not saying she wears only the coat, beacuse that woiuld get her unwanted attention.
That's what it's like to pad stats. Thats one of kaz's things, she can steal almost any kind of ship (sorta, haven't done it yet, but hopefully I'll get the chance) and if its broken she can fix it.
Ya, I had myself a laugh when I found out we had a solo and a skywalker. Lotta famous family names. O: Wouldn't an x wing be an antique by now. I don't really know much about star wars but isn't the game set like 1000 years after all the movies??
