yes... GOD yes... you know i've only played this game twice but each time it's gone on for ages! i've even been hesitant to introduce this game to my "meatspace" friends as i know it'll take too long for them.

I am aiming to send off an application for booking this weekend. I am thinking either 1st or 8th December (Saturdays). Which would people prefer?

Am also looking into accomodation options for people who want to stay over a few nights.

I shall move to Newcastle, England, next week (Wednesday, specifically). Any Geordie here which are interested in meeting and befriending a friendly chap who will reside at the university?

Likes RPGs, video games and geeky stuff in general. No real aversion to any universe, except maybe Twilight. A friend told me of a gaming store not far from the Uni, but I was hoping to diversify my sources of geeklore.

In Newcastle, you have Thufir, Tasroth, Qwaz and HazyShade.
You also have Dvil residing not to far away, as long as he's not at Uni in Glasgow. So quite a few Playgrounders in that area.

Qwaz is amazing. Get to know him. You will not regret it.

Re: dates: either is fine for me at the moment although the job search goes on. If I get the one I'm angling for most I might even be able to move Up North too!

Damn, I was hoping for a bit further north. Oh well, I suppose that would still pretty much half the travel time if I were to go visit you. I'm sure someone will be angered by that "London basically" comment, but I don't care enough to make a thing of it myself.

I'm hopeless at RPGs, and the last video game I completed was Yoshi's Island, but I like meeting people and eating and drinking! Do you happen to have any interest in chess, vocal harmony or running...?

I do like Chess, and board games in general! Strategy-game wise, I prefer Go, but the good ol' classic are great anyway!

If you or other Playgrounders have no plans already, maybe we could make a Welcome to Tyneside evening with Judge Dredd 3D on the evening of the 21st or 22nd? I am kind of looking forward for that movie

Well, Hazyshade and I are at a party one of those evenings, and personally I'm loth to break my record of never seeing a movie in 3D...
Not to mention I spent a bunch of money travelling around down south with Serpentine the past two weeks and kind of want to live cheaply for a bit.

Hazyshade does enjoy gaming, just not so much RPGs in particular.

My suggestion for a simple and easy way of meeting and getting to know each other a bit would be to congregate either here or at Qwaz's for assorted games (That'd be with me, Qwaz and Tasroth definitely; and possibly Hazyshade and Avaris if we can get ahold of them). Unless things have changed without me being told, the good days for Qwaz being free are tuesdays and wednesdays. So, next tuesday perhaps?
