My suggestion for a simple and easy way of meeting and getting to know each other a bit would be to congregate either here or at Qwaz's for assorted games (That'd be with me, Qwaz and Tasroth definitely; and possibly Hazyshade and Avaris if we can get ahold of them). Unless things have changed without me being told, the good days for Qwaz being free are tuesdays and wednesdays. So, next tuesday perhaps?

Hazyshade, apologies if I mistook your gender. Since the gender logo doesn't appear, you have a female avatar and "Haz.." names have been usually been taken by people of the feminine gender, I assumed one way over the other.

You might want to read the discussion immediately preceding yours, since it's talking about people to be found in the Newcastle area--yes, I know that Mackems don't like to mix with those types, but it's probably your best bet for finding someone.

Mackems are people from Sunderland. Middlesbrough is a bit further away and its people are called something else, though I'm not sure what (Other than 'people from Middlesbrough').

Well, I still think of them as IRL people rather than Playgrounders and I thought I'd avoid overwhelming Cikomyr with meeting ALL OF MY FRIENDS when he's only just met me, but we could. Though the latter will be otherwise engaged at the Freshers' Fair until 4:30 I believe.

Ah, yes, well, what I mean by I'm probably free tomorrow is that I'm probably free after I finish work at 5-ish.

Right. Accomodation wise, my recommendation would be the Premier Inn, which is pretty much next to the train station (and easy to spot - it's the big blue building with red, orange, and yellow rectangles all over it), and about 15 minutes walk from the university. Apparently a room for 2 nights for 2 adults is £66 currently. I don't know if I'll be able to put anyone up on the floors of student houses here - most likely not, but I'll bug people when termtime starts and everyone's back.

Room wise, we have a room in the Ken Edwards Building (apparently only 1, which is irritating when I asked for the 3 on the floor... eh, c'est la vie. I'll message them and see if I can get a second one as well). It's all signposted on the uni campus, so should be easy to get to. We have it from 9 am 'til 10pm. My plan is to game all day, then at 10 I will drag you all down to the Old Horse, which is the best pub ever. Pub closes at 11:30 / 11:45, and from there we can head back to premier Inn to do more games or we might be able to steal a living room at a nearby friend's house to do werewolf games.

SUGGESTED PLANS
Friday evening: Some people arrive. Gaming happens in the evening.
Saturday 9am: Gaming at Ken Edwards 526. For lunch there's Morrisons, Sainsburys, Dominos, and Subway all reasonably close by. There's also tesco enroute to the uni from the train station.
Saturday 10pm: pub pub pub pub pub.
Sunday wee hours: Werewolf at undecided location.
Sunday morning: Farewells to the brave few who remained.

Well, considering that I don't really know where else I could be staying (I'm assuming it's the Premier Inn in the city centre, but I could be wrong), I'd be more than happy to share a room if need be, although I'd have to vacate either Sunday evening or early Monday morning (lectures start at midday on mondays for me). Just give me whatever info you think I'll need when you can and I'll get back to you.
