I don't mind sharing a room with someone at Premier Inn, although I have a vague recollection of such places doing things like setting the air conditioning to somewhere between "shake and bake" and "heart of the inferno" and then providing half a tonne of extra bedding on the off-chance that you're cold.

I won't be along for the december meetup... having broken my ankle the exams I was supposed to do last week have been deferred to the second week of december. Said broken ankle is also why I'm not currently in Newcastle and so missing whatever is going on up there atm...

Meetup Post:

Date: 1st December
Location: Leicester University, Ken Edwards building (there are signs to direct you on campus, and I'll give out my number to people if they get lost). Address is University Road, Leicester, LE1 7RH. There is parking on campus.

FOR THOSE STAYING OVERNIGHT
Accomodation wise, my recommendation would be the Premier Inn, which is pretty much next to the train station (and easy to spot - it's the big blue building with red, orange, and yellow rectangles all over it), and about 15 minutes walk from the university. Apparently a room for 2 nights for 2 adults is £66 currently. I don't know if I'll be able to put anyone up on the floors of student houses here - most likely not, but I'll bug people when termtime starts and everyone's back.


SUGGESTED PLANS
Friday evening: Some people arrive. Gaming happens in the evening.
Saturday 9am: Gaming at Ken Edwards, rooms 526, 527, 528.
Saturday 10pm: Trip to the Old Horse, the local pub, for drinks and chatting.
Sunday wee hours: Werewolf at undecided location.
Sunday morning: Farewells to the brave few who remained.


FOODS
Dominos, Morrisons, Sainsburys, and Subway are in walking distance from the Uni. On the campus itself there's the Library Cafe, and Delicious might be open for a bit of the day. If you're coming in on the train, on the way to the Uni from the Train Station there's a Tesco and various take away places.

Baked foods are welcome, and I'll be seeing if I can make something for you hungry lot. No promises though.

I am organised and have my accomodation sorted - I'll be staying with another friend who goes to Leicester Uni, which means I have a possible +1 for the saturday, and probably can't hang out with you guys as much on the Sunday...

Thufir, Tasroth and I are all well protected by local geography. Qwaz's back garden might have gotten a bit damp. These flats are the extreme other end of the city from all of us.

I remember Lensman has a nut allergy, and there are several vegetarians, but that's about it.

This is very important especially for cikomyr (sp?) and Strawberries and Cream (or is it Snow Leopard?) as you're recent UK Playgrounders, and I know nothing about your dietary requirements whatsoever, whereas I have a fair knowledge of most other regulars' allergies/etc.

Since when did I become this group's nutritionist/dietician thing?

Speaking of food:
are we going out somewhere Friday night as usual? Is so we'll need a wide ranging list of restaurant options soon as we dilly dally until quite literally the moment we walk past a restaurant no one has any real objection to.
