Found out what the dice are/do:
The dice in question are:
% dice for the occurence of "obligations" in an adventure, or lookups in assorted tables
Positive Dice
3x d8 "ability dice" to generate basic successes
2x d12 "proficiency dice" to generate successes in combination with training
1x d6 "boost dice" to generate successes pulled from story, plot, or circumstance bonuses
Negative Dice
3x d8 "difficulty dice" to oppose ability dice and cancel successes
1x d12 "challenge dice" to oppose proficency dice with well prepared opponents
1x d6 "setback dice" to counter situational bonuses from boost dice
Force Dice
1x d12 force die to generate the entire session's resource pool of destiny points, both light (player use) and dark (GM use)
Seems unneccary and confusing. I read that nodded and just went "uh-huh...cool...ok." and walked away going "So new dice that does stuff"
Another quote from someone with the book. This one is positive at least and figured only fair to post some positive in with the negative.
Quote:
In terms of how good it is, I like it… so far. The act of forming die pools seems a bit cumbersome, but I get the impression that it will move pretty quickly once I get the hang of it. Other than that, the act of statting NPCs (and PCs) and running things on the fly takes me back to the days of D6 when you didn't need to worry about the complex character builds and interdependent abilities I got with D20. If I need a character on the fly I can just toss out a few stat numbers, assign some reasonable skills, and boom. The NPC is ready to rock. No fuss over level balance, calculating hit points and defenses, choosing feats, blah, blah, blah. I can go back to GMing the way I used to GM: nothing at the table but a plot sketched out in my brain and a fist full of dice.
You're carrying around a 10 kilo (22 pound) iPad with you when you're wearing your skimpy black dress?
It's 1 kilogram normally, and this one in particular has been miniaturized. So it's roughly the size of the Viceroy.
EDIT: Were you thinking of a com scrambler, the backpack mounted device?
I'm not very happy with the metric system being used because things weigh an absolutely ungodly amount. At least, by comparison to miniaturization today. Star Wars was a long time ago, so perhaps they hadn't hit upon their version of Steve Jobs.

In fairness, the problem is less "the metric system" and more "game designers have no concept of scale" - D&D has had the same problem for years despite using English measurements, with weapon weights being a particularly notable offender across several editions.
Also, I have just caught up with the 40-ish posts since last night, and would like to raise my glass to Lucretia. It's water - I'm at the office - but perhaps the thought counts for something.
Finally, I don't think Graff did score twins: it's been my understanding that the different skin colors correspond to different racial groupings, which would make it very unlikely for the blue-skinned Star and the red-skinned Moon to be close relatives.

I wake up, pop on to the threads, and all manner of sophisticated law discussion is occurring. I must also toast the 'Justice is argon' sentiment. I'm off to class so I'll initiate the main phase of Operation Get Myself Killed sometime today.

Their weights amuse me. So many people think longswords and other weapons are so much heavier then they really are. I've not actually weighed mine, but I don't think they've more than five pounds and I use the bigger ones. (Weekends I instruct sword classes for my towns medieval fair).
As for the twins...who cares? Graff scored two women/roomates one right after the other who might or might not be twins. If twins, score. If close friends, still a score. Perhaps after the shower you can go wake up the blue one and mix all the colors.
I think you mean making a Cherry and Blueberry Swirl
The good kind too. While he's getting a Cherry and blueberry swirl I'm trying to avoid meeting Bubba the Cherry Twilik and Tyrone the Blueberry twi'lek who think I got a perrty mouth.
Did you just challenge me to a ruth-off, Noedig? Is this a race to Chaotic Evil? (For some reason I feel CE is less ruthful than LE. With LE you can have Magnificent Bastards, but with CE, you really don't get any of the flair or mercy)

Ice is pragmatic. He knows that if popular opinion turns against the Sith, governments are more likely to turn away from them too, right into the arms of either the GA or Fel's Empire. In his mind, this one broadcast could end up being a turning point in the conflict.
And if that doesn't work, Dark Nova ftw.

Guys...I apologize ahead of time for the stupid that is about to occur.
I blame not liking people hitting a ranking Imperial Officer (shows disrespect), insult to honor, self-defense, and uh yeah >.>
