Without a doubt. He gives them extremely human and pitiable traits whenever we discuss wanting to murderface them, and he (correctly) presumes it might sway us away from our murderface actions. I really wanted to end that Rodian, but then he was like a teenager with an illness and all the maternal instincts made me wanna hug him.
That said, I'm steeling my heart. There'll be some murderfacing this time.

I don't what it is, but sometimes I feel like Fel tries to make us feel bad when we kill people. I dunno, maybe I'm reading to much into it. What do you guys think?
I'm not feeling anything towards the Givin or the Captain yet.

Sometimes, perhaps. When it's "innocent" bystanders. But OTOH, look how he's been winding Graff up to go after Star and Moon - and even moreso Darth Mastigo. Graff is gonna burn that dude down so hard his great-great-grandparents will have to sit down in buckets of icewater.

Everyone has people/family that care about them and their well being. Choices have consequences.
Yoda: "Yes, a Jedi's strength flows from the Force. But beware of the dark side. Anger, fear, aggression; the dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will, as it did Obi-Wan's apprentice. "
Palapatine: "I can feel your anger... it gives you focus, it makes you stronger!"

Quoting Palpatine is never a good way to dissuade me from something. I still can't decide if I love Palpatine or Tarkin more, but they're definitely the two contenders for Most Awesome Star Wars Character According To Lucy. They're great! Vader lacks that incredible presence because he's SO overtly menacing. With the Emperor and Tarkin, there's restraint. Also facial expressions. And those delicious accents...

Vader is most menacing when he says the least. Palpatine is most menacing when he uses his silver tongue. Tarkin is most menacing when he places his hand n his chin and looks at you with a cunning, thoughtful stare.

Peter Cushing's default pose was "oh dear Lord, am I set upon by fools." Super nice, incredibly gifted, loyal to his wife in a way I wish more people were, but so, so English. Obtusely English. I think Grand Moff Tarkin wins because I could stare at his face all day. Ian McDiarmid too, but not when he's in the Palpatine Prosthetics. I could never understand why his skull suddenly buckled in down the center. That's not how skulls work!

From what I understand, the grognards of Star Wars fluff have determined that his deformity was caused not by Mace's lightsaber deflecting the lightning but by years and years of abusing the dark side. Ole' Palpy was a great illusionist. The attack on his life by the Jedi gave him a perfect moment to finally drop the charade.

Some claim it's Sith Alchemy that allowed Palpatine to cultivate the facade and visage of a normal human, while in actuality it was a sort of Force-fueled plastic surgery. When he finally hit himself with the hatred fueled Force Lightning, the Alchemy dissipated and Palpatine went with it, turning his scar from Force abuse into a mark of the martyr.
That said, I still don't understand why his skull buckled.

Never believe someone is dead until you've decapitated them and put their head in your Captain's Quarters. You never know when an enemy might have a destiny point -- if they start to blink, they've used one!

Exactly, unless Ice tells me he checked the pulse, Kelaeon isn't believing it.
Man. I never expected that being able to make 1 post per day would have me falling behind so much . I guess it's just a quirk of schedules, I could probably make 2 or 3 posts a day but the times I'm on it seems no one else is, and all of your posts come during the times I can't really get on. I apologize if I'm slowing the game down.
Kel's free to kill the guards if he feels it's too dangerous to let them live. Staen might not be that happy (I get the feeling he's the least kill-happy member of our band ) but he certainly won't be complaining about less complications. He's trying the less lethal approach because they're not directly connected to the Sith (as far as he knows) and less bodies make covert ops easier to conceal (and he's still trying to stick to the original plan because he doesn't know all of what's happened).

Don't worry as Kel said unless they turn around and pull a weapon they won't be killed.
Ice
"What message? And what assassins? Someone tried to kill you, and they stuck around?" Ice asks.
Is this meant to be IC confusion on Ice's part? Because we were just talking about a message from the Darth, in posts #392-397 - that's what prompted Ice to play back his holorecording of the massacre outside the casinos.
ETA: Soooo quiet today...
