I think Commander = Captain's Chair, but I could be wrong on that. Unless you meant a literal chair for the captain. Like, Kirk's Swivel or Picard's Throne. In that case... he's a Chiss, he can stand.
Pish post. I have 200cr free, I'll buy myself a nice chair, bantha hide, reclining, and have Ice install it.

Last time Admiral Markath handed them to us, and I bragged that mine was the least interesting. I could pull it up on my datapad, or have it sent there. Jarik's former CO owes him a favor, so I can do it that way as well.
Actually, nevermind what I said about armor before - while I was AFB I got the armor value and EP cost scalings reversed. Bleah.
Let's see, things I haven't seen mentioned... Hyperdrive upgrades (if so, it's actually cheaper to buy the fastest one we can afford and then perform any additional desired Starship Designer upgrades from there)? Smuggling compartments? (Erryday...)
As for the tractor beam, apparently it's standard equipment on Firesprays, which don't have a lot more STR than our girl Dawn, and thus it's supposed to be viable. Eh, a warhead launcher is fine too. Though proton torpedo launchers seem to be generally more efficient than any flavor of concussion missiles, as long as you don't mind the smaller magazines. Also, please feel free to take advantage of Graff's high BAB and proficiency with Pilot-operated starship weapons by giving him a fixed-forward gun of some sort to use while dogfighting.

Just to double check was my utility belt acceptable for customs? Its core rulebook and has medpac, comlink, tool kit, liquid cable dispenser+grappling hook, power cell, three days worth of food and an energy cell.
I mentioned it before and nothing got said so assume it was fine, but just double checking.
Edit: Unrelated for that, but for future use I got a question about concealing a weapon. According to the chart a lightsaber is a "medium" weapon. I get that is activated, but with it treated like that does that mean it is impossible to conceal a lightsaber? Or am I missing something about object sizes?
Yeah, that's what I figured. I was confused what "size" a deactivated lightsaber counts as for concealment purposes. Steal to conceal an object gives bonuses and penalties based on the size but the object has to be "one size category smaller than you". However lightsabers are medium weapons.

I follow. Yeah the rules don't always work right. Kind of makes sense though, the Saber is like a maglite, hard to conceal such a large cylindrical object.
Also, your utility belt is fine.

Funny enough, one of the only things we're not boosting is atmospheric speed.

recharge shields (2 swift, 1/turn): DC 20 to restore SR 10.
regulate power (2 swift, 1/turn): DC20 to move ship +1 on condition track
Okay, changed the ion cannon to be operated by the pilot, since we're most likely to be using it when we're on the offensive and don't want to destroy the target. I also added a concussion missile launcher with 8 normal and 8 armor piercing missiles. Do we need to add another heavy laser cannon in case Staen or Ice want to mix things up? Even if something gets through our shields, the droid repair team will bring us up the condition track and the R-8 unit will repair the shields. I'm worried Ice won't have much to do if the battle's going well (other than make snarky comments and talk about how awesome his upgrades are). Doing so would increase the total number of days working on the ship to 91. Not sure if he's got 3 spare months during the year.
Edit: added proposed changes.

Medium Weapons are Tiny Objects (Scum and Villainy pg38). Object size is used for concealment, not weapon size (which is more a measure of who can use it than how big it is).
As a medium creature a tiny object is 2 sizes smaller than you so you can attempt to conceal with a +0 bonus to the check (CR Stealth rules).

"Three months" is one way to look at "ninety days," and admittedly it's by far the most common. For something like this, though, which is basically a hobby project, "ninety days" might more accurately be described as "most of a year's worth of weekends."
Also, we have 4 gunner-operated weapons and 3 dedicated (well, pretty much) gunners. So there will be a weapon open for one of them - so long as we have a target worth blowing missiles on, anyway.

Thank you, I was unable to find weapon to object size other than the Core book's weapon sizes. Didn't know it was in Scum and Villainy. :)
Can you add a force point to a roll if you take 10?
Who did I list as Systems Operator? I feel like there are things we can do with the comms, like lock on targets or something. Ice could always take that seat if the engineer's cap isn't necessary at the moment.
That said, I will never, ever say "hmm.... do you think we have 'too many' guns?" I might question their quality, but not the number. I <3 the Death Star.
And one of the two 'non-combatants' could take over the missile launcher if need be, right?
Also, I'll post in the IC thread once I stop getting freaked out by the Promenade!
EDIT: Bloody 500 errors.

+8BAB -1 Dex, -5 no proficiency. I'd have a +2 to hit.
Not 100% (or even 80% honestly) sure (AFB) but I don't think you apply dex penalties to attacks with vehicle weapons. I do know, however, that you get the ship's int bonus to those rolls, so +4 there. So you'd have a +6 (+1 additional from my born leader ability which would be almost guaranteed on in a fight). Still not great, but not as bad as +2.
If you really want proficiency and are willing to spend a feat (I doubt it'll come up enough to be worth a feat myself) vehicle gunner or whatever the feat is called is better for that as it only gives proficiency for vehicle weapons but gives an additional benefit as well (afb and don't recall what exactly it is).

Ah, thanks. I don't know starship combat very well so didn't realize the +4. Alright that's not too bad and a +6 is worth it enough to not use a feat if it won't come up often. Especially since I got desperate gambit which really has no penalties in ship combat since my reflex defense doesn't matter.
I can't find the "Vehicle Gunner" or any feat other than vehicle combat that does much with vehicles. Sure it isn't a talent? (given books aren't on me and I'm using an online database which is missing some books)
Is my super rare and expensive Corellian liquor flammable? And what's the break DC on the bottle? Ive had quite enough of this wookiee, and I wish to have a barbecue.
The feat is Vehicular Combat and it is in the Core book, but it's a very pilot-centric feat. Its extra benefit is that it allows the pilot of a vehicle to roll a Pilot check to try to negate a hit, and the proficiency it grants only applies to Pilot-operated weapons. So WP(Heavy) would actually be more generally useful unless you're a pilot. There's a Scoundrel talent, Spacehound, that does grant proficiency with all vehicle weapons; but like I said, Scoundrel talent.

Just to check, since I'm ahead due to our long bit the other night, will you post when ready? I saw the post in the IC thread, just wanted to double check so that when I didn't post you wouldn't be waiting on me whenever you were ready.
Dr. Burke is racist and likes to talk a lot. That's fun.
The DC to change the Veridicator is 10, and I have a modifier of +11, so I cannot fail to change it. Zeltrons have a bonus to detecting fibs as well, so hopefully this little Saurian will surrender its secrets to me.
