[Nexus Alt-Plot] Nothing and Nightmares {Beans & C'nor}

[C'nor]

Naera smiles as well, in probably the least reserved way she has since she's been here, and nods.

"Thank you. And yes, I suspect that it will be; she was nice."

[Beans]

She nods, then goes upstairs to get her a lavender hoodie and navy-and-white striped legwarmers.
She comes down fairly quickly, not wanting her friend to get cold, and brings her the clothes.
Before long, a knock comes at the door!

[C'nor]

Naera smiles gratefully, slipping on the new clothes, and will then snuggle back up to Nycca if she can.

When the knock comes, Talina smiles, though she also looks nervous, and goes to answer the door!

[Beans]

Vo is there, looking incredibly uncomfortable.
Hi.
Can I come in?

[C'nor]

Talina nods, smiling at her.

"Of course you can, Vo."

Naera smiles slightly at Vo from her place on the couch.

[Beans]

Th-thanks...

Hi g-girls.
She steps in, fidgeting nervously.

[C'nor]

Naera gets up off the couch and comes over, giving Vo a slight bow, before, after a few moments' hesitation, going to hug her.

"Hello, Doctor. It is pleasant to see you again."

[Beans]

Sherry comes over to hug the shocked redhead as well... then Marina... then all the girls are clustered around her as she stares.
G...
I...
I missed you too.

[C'nor]

Talina hangs back if she's allowed to, since she didn't know Vo.

Naera, meanwhile, seems somewhat hesitant to respond, looking like she doesn't really know what to say to that.

[Beans]

Vo makes that job either harder or easier, I don't know.
Either way, she breaks down in tears.

[C'nor]

That, Naera can help with; instead of just sort of standing there awkwardly, the Hunterkin pulls her closer, stroking her hair.

[Beans]

Soon, the undead redhead is surrounded by girls whispering comfort, dying her eyes, and rubbing her back; she calms down, eventually smiling a little bit.

[C'nor]

Naera seems about as pleased about that as she ever seems about anything.

"Thank you for coming to see us."

Meanwhile, Talina probably got involved during the whole thing that just went on.

[Beans]

Vo nods, and is ushered back to the couch, with Naera probably ending up in her lap.
How are you girls doing?
Naera, have you been eating enough?

[C'nor]

Naera does indeed end up in her lap.

"We have primarily been doing well, though Nycca had certain issues recently, which, fortunately, appear to be mainly cleared up.

And yes, I have been eating a sufficient amount."

Nycca, Sherry, and Marina are probably well aware that, while Naera isn't exactly lying, since she does believe that, her idea of 'a sufficient amount' is quite skewed.

[Beans]

Vo glances at Nycca, who makes a slightly exasperated face.
I'm... glad everyone's taking care of each other...

Look, um, I don't want to be intruding, so I should probably, uh... be going...

[C'nor]

Naera frowns somewhat, apparently not overly fond of that prospect.

"Your presence does not seem as though it is intrusive to me."

[Beans]

... I guess I could stay a bit longer, but I have to go eventually...
She rubs the scrawny girl's back.

[C'nor]

Naera smiles somewhat, snuggling against her.

"I am aware of that. But please return sooner next time?"

[Beans]

She smiles a little and nods, patting her back.
Before long, she has to go and waves to the girls as she departs!

[C'nor]

Naera and Talina wave back, both seeming a little sad about her leaving, though accepting that she has other commitments.

[Beans]

Off she goes!
Nycca puts an arm around Naera.
I think it's time we went to bed, okay?

[C'nor]

Naera nods, slipping an arm around Nycca as well.

"That would probably be best."

[Beans]

Upstairs they go!

[C'nor]

Talina heads off to get changed; Naera, unless stopped, simply slips off her clothes and gets into bed, settling down against the wall.

[Beans]

Nycca frowns, changing into her jammies. "Won't you need something to wear, dear?"

[C'nor]

Naera blinks, looking somewhat confused.

"If so, I was unaware of the necessity. I am used to sleeping like this unless there are specific reasons not to do so. Is this problematic here?"

[Beans]

"Wouldn't want you getting cold..." She offers some jammies.

[C'nor]

Naera shrugs, but nods and puts them on.

[Beans]

Nycca smiles and snuggles in next to her, gently hugging her.
