[Nexus Alt-Plot] Nothing and Nightmares {Beans & C'nor}

[Beans]

Nycca blinks, confused and a little angry herself.
The hell is going on?
((Bleh dedteim for eatingfoods.))

[C'nor]

"I woke up and you had just... Vanished out the window. So I found some of your hairs, did a divining to make sure you were okay, and came after you. Then I found you here getting ready to kill yourself! Did you think I wouldn't want to at least say goodbye?"

[Beans]

Tali, I...
She sighs.
I'm sorry, but I had to leave.
Please hand me the pills, okay?

[C'nor]

Talina sighs as well, going to hug her.
"Just... Give me a few minutes, okay?" Her voice is still controlled, but it seems to be on the edge of not being so.

[Beans]

She frowns, hugging back, and nods hesitantly.
((Tell me when you want the song to happen.))

[C'nor]

((Exact time is up to you, but it should probably be in the next couple of posts.))

"Thank you..."
The healer burrows into Nycca's arms as much as she can, given their relative sizes, semi-successfully trying to keep from crying.

[Beans]

Nycca rubs her back.
Crying people made it really, really hard to off yourself, which is why she hoped to slip out and be done before anyone came.
She strokes her friend's hair gently, whispering gentle nothings.

[C'nor]

That's actually most of why Talina is trying not to cry. She doesn't want Nycca to kill herself, but if that actually is what her friend wants to do, she doesn't want to guilt her into staying where she's that unhappy, either.

In any case, the bat-fey's actions help enough for her to get herself under some sort of tenuous control, and, after holding her for a few more minutes, goes to give her a last kiss; if nothing unusual happens after that, the healer, unless stopped, will gently disengage from the hug, and offer the bottle of pills to the Molossa, though her hand will be shaking somewhat as she does. (Otherwise, of course, she'll react as the events dictate.)

[Beans]

She takes the pills and checks the recommended dosage. Wouldn't want to accidentally take too many sleeping pills when she's trying to kill herself, would she? :P
She swallows one and sighs, starting up the car.

Talina can't quite keep herself from making one last effort to keep Nycca alive when she hears that. Perhaps if things had gone differently, but... Not now.

Should it seem to work, she'll try to actually take Nycca's hands, assuming that her friend isn't actually inside the car yet.

Nycca starts to break down at that point, biting her lip as tears flow from behind her tinted lenses. She tries to speak, but everything comes out as a painful little tangle of noise.

[C'nor]

((It seems like something could be made of bits and pieces from the sung parts of back -and-forth between Beth and Nathaniel here; at least, a fair bit of Beth's parts seem like they would fit Talina, and a very short duet between her and Nycca could probably be formed from this section:

Talina goes to pull her out of the car; if it works, she'll then carry her a short distance away from it, and drop to the ground to provide a lap, hugging the bat-fey close.

[Beans]

((Ooh, I like that.))
She eventually stops crying or moving at all, but it's only because the sleeping pill is doing what sleeping pills do. The batgirl becomes quiet and looks peaceful for now.

[C'nor]

Talina goes to gently set her on the ground for a moment, and, if nothing prevents her, will then go turn off the car, before retrieving the bat-fey and heading back home with her.

[Beans]

Marina opens the door for them, frowning. "Where were you two this morning?

[C'nor]

Talina sighs.

"We... It's a long story. And I don't know how much of it is mine to tell. So give me a chance to talk things out with Nycca once she's up, okay?"

[Beans]

She nods, frowning.
((How far should we go with this in terms of time?))

[C'nor]

((Up to you. If you want, we can even just not stop at all and reserve songs for things like when they meet Jen, or other important things in the future once it's in less of a constant crisis.))

Talina smiles gratefully, and, if allowed, heads up to their room, taking a seat on the bed, with Nycca in her lap, when they arrive.

[Beans]

Well, I think there's a decent amount of backstory we can fill in with interesting things between how they started and their first IC moments; since I basically ran the plot of the first little arc, dealing with Nycca's intention to kill herself, would you like to try running the next arc, dealing with whatever you'd like them to do?

When she wakes, she sniffles and rubs her eyes.
Tali?
What's gonna happen to me now?

[C'nor]

I'm not sure. At the moment, I'm drawing a blank on ideas for their next arc, unless it deals with putting Nycca back together, in which case, you should probably still be the one to run it.

Talina smiles reassuringly at her, stroking her hair and rubbing her wings.
"Well, to start, I try to help you get back to a healthier mindset than you've had. And if you still want to, we try to make things work between us."

[Beans]

Well, perhaps after Nycca gets fixed, something can happen; I'm sure we can work something out for then.

The batgirl snuggles against Talina, hugging her tightly and kissing her cheek, sniffling.

[C'nor]

It should be possible, yes.

Talina kisses Nycca's forehead, gladly returning the hug.
"Marina and the others want to know where we were this morning. How much should I tell them?"

[Beans]

...
Everything.
Just tell them everything.
She sighs, slumping a little.

[C'nor]

((Posting may slow down a bit after this, since I'm introducing a new character in something.))

Talina nods.

"When you're up to it, then, if you're sure that's what you want to do."

[Beans]

She nods, nestling closer into Talina's chest.

[C'nor]

Talina smiles somewhat, going to pull the blanket over them both, and humming a soft, calming, tune.

[Beans]

She slips back to sleep, feeling a little better now.

[C'nor]

Talina isn't terribly tired, and thus simply lays there holding her friend for the moment, though she will slip into a light doze eventually.

[Beans]

Eventually she wakes up.
... I'm still alive, right?

[C'nor]

Talina nods, not having taken very much to be awoken.

"You are."
