Hmm. I...ah...

I confess. Your avatar intrigues me, but I'm having difficulty understanding it.

I can see it is a unicorn pony wearing some strange type of robe-like outfit that has a nice design but looks like it must be uncomfortably tight to walk in. The bridge of his nose, ear, and soul-patch-area are lined with black specks that are too small to really make out but that I assume are piercings. The eye contains a pattern that, to me, seems like some strange mix between "hypnotized" and "severely sleep deprived." The whole thing is topped off by orange Naruto hair and matching headband. I'm not even sure what to make of that. And I find it a little disquieting that the pony appears to lack a tail.

I don't know what to make of this. However, it's clear that the avatar was carefully designed, with attention paid to detail. And I've said that the job of an avatar is to stand tall and catch the eye, and yours certainly does that.

I've put too much thought into this. Maybe your sig is right, and it really is a work of art. I can't say I get it, but I also can't say I don't like it.

A numerical rating seems pointless after that rant, but I don't want to be the thread breaker here, so I'll give you an 8/10.

Fun and cutesy little avvie. Bonus points for showing us a slice from the middle of a story. Artistically, it works to show the avvie as if it was right out of the webcomic.

It works (and I get the reference to Crisis), but it looks a little stiff. The pant legs and cape in particular just seem sort of blocky, and the hair is a little simple. That said, the keytar looks nice. I'll give it 6.5/10 overall.

They're obviously not as detailed as some of the ones our resident avatarists tirelessly slave over, but I just feel so warm and nostalgic when I see them and think back to my days with Default Blue Knight Guy.
