Mueki makes sure to return Ooraku, picking up Punipuni and squeezing him to comfort her. She knew she was about to speak to all these people, knew that the team was relying on her to speak eloquently and to assure these people that they came in peace and to pool their resources. These probably paranoid scared, and hungry people. All up to her.
Mueki gives a strangled whimper as she squeezes her Pokemon, who gives a comforting bark.

Blake looks over at Mueki, hearing her soft whimper, and hesitates a moment before placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry too much about it... Joan wouldn't have asked you to come with us if you weren't up to the task. And you've proven more than capable of handling everything up until now... this isn't any different."
Mueki gives a short jump when Blake touches her, but calms slightly when his words flow over her. "But... all those people, what if they start yelling and what if I freeze up and stutter and and and..." She descends into low incoherent mumbling and she buries her face into Punipuni's back, her long bangs falling around him.

Blake smiles at her and replies, "You can talk to us just fine... just focus on one person there, whoever's in charge, and just treat it like a conversation with them. And if they start yelling, we'll handle it, alright?"
Mueki sniffles and looks up at Blake. "'Kay..." She struggled to compose herself, straightening her posture. She still squeezed the ever-squeezable Spheal in her arms for comfort, but she had a fire in her eyes now. She set her jaw stubbornly and waited for someone to open the door.

Dave throws in his own reassurance "Don't sweat it we got your back, and besides if three socially challenged guys like us can half talk our way out of a fight with a Skarmory riding raider then negotiating with these guys should be cake for someone like you."
When Collin knocks on the door, the voices coming from the other side go quiet. After a minute, the door opens, and you see a small group of people. When they see the party, they look disappointed, as if they were expecting something else. Behind the group of people near the door, you can see the rest of the camp you were told about.
Dave thinks tactically, and does a quick mental headcount and makes notes in his head of any weapons, mons, and exits. If this turns nasty they need an escape plan
Mueki takes a deep breath, then bows at the waist to whomever appeared at the front of the group. "I'm Suifu Mueki and, um... We represent Joan of Arc's forces, and, um... W-we wanted to let you know... if you wanted to... we could p-pool out resources, 'cause we have a co-common enemy... Oh! We can offer some food, we... we slew some Pokemon farther down the hotel, and.... you could... eat them..." She finishes almost mumbling, bringing Punipuni closer to her thoroughly blushing face.

well we are dead at this rate might as well jump in Dave interjects trying to salvage the situation "err... that may be too much at once. but the gist of it is 'we come in peace', 'take me to your leader', and 'please don't jump to any hasty conclusions this is our first time doing the diplomat thing'"

Dave sees that few if any of these people are armed, and if any of them have any pokémon, they seem to be keeping them balled. Short of jumping off the building, the only way out seems to be the stairwell you just came from.
Hearing Mueki and Dave's words, a man steps forward. "...I'm the one in charge here. I would like to thank you for your assistance, our food supplies are running low, and without your help, we may have starved. As for joining you, I'm not sure we can do that. As I am sure you noticed on your way up here, there are a number of strong pokémon hiding away in the hotel below us, and the only one among us who is capable of fighting them off hasn't returned from her scouting trip. We were hoping it was her behind the door, so please excuse our disappointment."
Dave put two and two together, and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. Despite what he said earlier he had hoped this wasn't the raiders group but now too many things lined up there was no way this couldn't be her group. He figured he should just keep quiet, but she could come up those stairs or drop from the sky at any time he needed to know for sure so he could be ready. "Uh... This scout... She wouldn't happen ride a skarmory would she?" he is now listening specifically for the sound of kinking metal plates

Collin will add in: "If those pokemon are your issue, you have nothing to worry about. We've defeated three gyarados and a cloister already. We can safely lead you out. The four of us have had little trouble up to this point."
Mueki smiled, relaxing. This was a problem she could solve. "Me and my companions are more then capable of serving as an escort, particularly since we have cleared a route to the ground floor. If any of you have Pokemon capable of carrying a lot of freight, we can even take the meat with us. All we have to do is leave a note for your friend and we can head off to the Gym, where food, medical supplies, and protection can be found in great numbers." This time her voice was clear and strong, drawing strength from her allies words.

The man looks at Dave. "Why yes, she does ride a Skarmory. She left to find supplies for us, but has yet to return. Have you seen her?" Dave's senses do not detect a Skarmory in any way, however.
The man looks grateful at Mueki and Collin's words. "Well, if you think you can get us back to your camp safely, then we shall join you. Without the aid of our scout, we would surely have starved to death here had you not come along. Just give us some time to prepare."
yep its her alright probably best not to mention the fight just yet thinks Dave before saying "Maybe but with that steel ace and any of his potential fans in town yesterday its possible that there is more than one skarmory owner flying around when was the last time you saw yours? also aside from the ones already mentioned do you know of any other strong mons lurking about down stairs so we know what to expect?" Dave is still on edge and keeps listening.

Blake closes his eyes as they mention the female scout riding a Skarmory. Deciding to hold his tongue about their previous... encounter with the woman, he says, "If you need any help with your preparations, we can give you a hand."
The man shakes his head at Dave's question. "We do not know exactly what is lurking those halls right now, we have not been able to get down safely. I hope you are confident that you can protect us should more strong pokémon show up." Turning to Blake, the man nods. "Thank you, that would be most welcome."
The man then joins the other survivors, who are busy gathering what supplies and salvaged personal belongings they have. When they are finished, they seem more than ready to return with you. The time is about 4:30 PM.
Mueki decided to keep Punipuni out, as her starter Pokemon was essentially uninjured. She traveled close to the crowd, keeping an eye on their conditions.

Blake releases Varen, quickly linking his mind with the ghostly Pokemon before thinking, Stay ahead of us, but invisible... any doors we get to, phase through so I can see what's behind them. The Misdreavus nods, fading from view as it floats forward, while Blake watches carefully through both his eyes and his companions.

Switching to and channeling Varen. Experience Shared allows me to see/hear what Varen sees/hears.
Dave does not see the person he is looking for among the survivors. The trip back is fairly uneventful, grabbing the remaining Gyarados meat you had stored on your way up. When you get back, Joan thanks you for your work and has a meeting with the leader of the refugees. As the two of them walk away, you are approached by one of the refugees. "Thank you for saving us. As a sign of my gratitude, if you have any pokémon capable of learning Bounce, I'll gladly teach them the move if you'd like." The young man smiles, clearly happy to be off of that rooftop.
With everyone safe and sound Dave runs over to the gym to fetch something. When he gets back he hands the Psyduck egg to Mueki "Here you go! Considering all that I've seen this afternoon I don't think we need to worry as much about muggers after all, and even if there was a reason to worry I'm confident the egg would be safe with you anyway. good job with the negotiations by the way."

Suddenly recalling his dream of Isonade jumping high, Collin eagerly calls out Isonade and asks, "If you wouldn't mind teaching her bounce, I would be very grateful."
