My Little Pony WW 2: The Shadow Reign

Day 7

Senorita Cha Cha and Verde Invidia had just recently traveled to Tiaraville, hoping to see the quaint little townsfolk who lived in the never-ending darkness.

Oh sure, all of Equestria was in darkness, but Tiaraville seemed to be the hub of the disturbance, and everyone in the bigger cities wanted to know what was so special about this little town. Why was everything happening here, instead of someplace big and important, like Manehatten or Fillydelphia.

As they walked the dark streets of the town, Senorita Cha Cha looked over at her travel companion, a little mystified. Verde, have you eaten something, or are my eyes playing tricks on me? she closes and opens her eyes, taking another look at her friend. Your eyes, they seem.... green. I mean really, reeally green.

Verde clomped a hoof to her head, clsing her eyes and shaking it sadly. Are you serious? Another one? she looked to her left, away from Cha Cha. You can't think of anything better than a green-eyed pony for me? And how about that name? Verde? Italian for green, right? Oh, hooooow original.

Cha Cha was confused. Um, Verde dear.... Uh, who are you talking to? she looked toward where Verde was looking, but saw nothing. I'm over here.

Verde thrust her hoof out, knocking Cha Cha out cold. Shut up. This is just some silly werewolf game, and I've just been killed, most likely. Then back to the left. Well you can't kill me. I'm leaving! And she trotted off screen.

Senorita Cha Cha (C'Nor) was knocked unconsious. When she awakens, she'll feel like a completely different pony. She was {Replaced by Bladescape}.

Night 7

Old Fruit meandered along the trail, juuuuuust a little bit tipsy. Once again she'd stayed too long at the Old Watering Hole, that is, if you asked any other pony. Old Fruit liked this feeling, just the right amount of Jama Juice to get a good buzz on, it made her feel like.... Dancing!

She decided to break into a solo song and dance, right there on the road. Why, if those young fillies could do it, so could she, by gum!

{Cue Song and Dance number, featuring Old Fruit. After which, nothing is heard but crickets. Loud annoying crickets.}

Old Fruit glares at no one in particular. Yeah, well you wouldn't know a good song if it bit ya on the BEEEP! Her eyes go wide, as she realizes what she's said, and she quickly covers her mouth bashful-like. Oh my. Did I say that?

She then commences to continue her meandering toward the Apple Farm. I wonder if Granny Smith is awake. she says, then pauses looking suddenly surprised and scared.

Her eyes roll to the back, without turning her head. Looking at something behind her. Oh, uh. Hello, there little fella. What are you doing up so late?

The dark black pony said nothing, just stepped closer. As he did so, other ponies followed him out of the shadow.

Old Fruit jumped in dismay. I... I don't suppose you're here to see me safely home, are ya?

One of the town ponies shakes her head no, and they begin to surround the old mare. And just like that, everything changes. Old Fruit stands up straighter, any feigned drunkeness leaves her, and her sagging features shift into a youthful beauty. I guess that means you've found me then. she smirks. But you won't get me without a fight.

And the last of the illusion disappears. Before the crowd stands a Changling. She charges straight at them, her horn lowered to use as a weapon. This was something the crowd had not expected, and jumped for safety, allowing her a wide gap to run free.

She quickly ran back into town, her eyes watchful for anyone who was sure to not draw suspicion. But she had to find somepony fast, and not in plain sight. She had to avoid the crowd and not get caught shifting into her new form.

She turned left, toward the center of town, and was surprised to find a target. A dashing young unicorn who evidently hadn't joined the hunting party, but was more interested in reading. She charged ahead, pushing herself to run faster than she'd ever run before.

She crashed into his flank, forcing him inside, and kicking the door closed behind her. Perfect! she hissed, and pinned her victim to the floor. Now don't squirm, this won't hurt.... much.

Old Fruit, or whatever her real name is, her horn began to glow an eerie green, and then with a flash, the young bookworm was gone. Well, the real young bookworm was gone. The Changling now stood where she was, looking like her victim.

Old Fruit (Castaras) has shifted forms, and is once again hidden among the populace. She was Changling 3.

Yes, we have known the seer for quite a while and they were unlikely to be the victim of a changling switch given the low chance of it working on the mane 6 and that a probable bane would likely protect against it anyway.

Given no one has pointed at anyone yet, I'll start off by suggesting that Dr Whooves (Istari) had best be prepared to regenerate (or at least canter off into his tardis). Although I do find Eternis's post a bit odd.

Maybe? My impressions of GnomeGninjas are kind of still 1) he's kinda sorta new but not really that new 2) he's usually really quiet, so it's often difficult to get a good read on him.

As for what we've seen of his team, Murska is a feared name. Castaras is experienced. Are they random? Maybe. But they're also well-known.

Grimmace is someone Gnome has had games with. I don't remember what Grimmace was in games Gnome was in (other than... Devil, once before? In a game I ran?)

Remind me, did Gnome also pick Gray Mage as Shining Armor? Gray Mage is also an experienced, well-known player. He may have just been going for big names.

No, he just knew who Gray Mage was. Scratch that addendum.

But with Castaras morphed, anybody could be the new one, I guess. Especially since Gnome wasn't in charge of that. (Wow, Lex, are your games always like that for the seer? )

Bussing is a term for when a Wolf attempts to head a bandwagon on another wolf to look like a town. It's a rarely used tactic for most wolves unless the other wolf is drawing a lot of suspicion, and they aren't a key role.

Last MLP WW for instance, your character was quite the annoyance to all and I think you got lynched for your actions and RP. Started by the wolves though. I wouldn't call any one action 'wolf-like' from you, just that whenever I have a massive inclination to lynch you, you're usually town.

The yellow pants felt that the paranoia this morning was more toned back this morning. People aren't rushing around to lynch someone. Instead, they were sitting around debating things.

The brown earth pony was turning a brisk business this morning. His cakes and cookies were selling. These miserable times cause people to crave comfort food. Istari in particular has been buying a lot of sweets. He hopes that the poor guy would be able to calm down.

Alarra and Istari are both big names. If the "good players" theory holds any value, either or both could be wolves.

I'm not sold on Istari so I'd like to keep our options open.

Although it's rare for the wolves/power roles to get autolynched and replaced I'm still not inclined to trusting you so I'm going to go with the overly suspicious Eternis.
