"How do you intend us to depart without these demons following us? Fighting demons as we march for a day does not strike me as a good plan. Additionally, even if we manage to escape undetected, we will be leaving these people to die. So, how are we going to drive the demons from this area?"

"We drive them away by my leaving, attempting to hold against them is futile."

[Archmage1]

"...So, you want us to play decoys, and draw their attention as we leave, unless they have some way of tracking you, in which case it won't matter."

[Tharione]

"We aren't decoys if we are what they're after. Either offer an alternative or leave if you haven't the stomach for it. Simply pointing out the desperation of the situation serves no one."

[Archmage1]

"Decoys for the people here, not for ourselves. Do they have a way of tracking you? I can use an illusion, and make it appear as if you teleported away to some other location. Then, if you are correct, they should leave, giving us an easy escape. If not, we will have lost little."

"As they follow me wherever i went i assume they have some means of tracking me. If you wish to attempt that you are welcome to try, if it works it would be a valuable diversion and you will have my gratitude."

"Well, I can see two ways for them to be tracking you: They might have a tracer on you or something that you carry, or they might be using divination to track you. The latter would require that they have something of you to track. I can attempt to identify any tracker on you, by casting detect magic, but in order to prevent them from divining you, I would need a spell of nondetection, which I don't know. Do you object to me casting detect magic? If there is some tracker on you, I might be able to counter it."

"..........." Axile decides the woman is not worth his breath. She wouldn't believe him anyways. So instead he simply sits and listens for the moment. He does think it's best to leave immediately however. Staying in place wouldn't do anything for them and leave themselves as sitting ducks for Gheddon.

-There is one thing that keeps worrying me. While we were at the inn, two barl-guras those ape demons, attacked and kidnapped some of the local folk. I have their names and blood so if they are still alive I can locate them, on due time... But why would they take those? And more importantly where?

Maybe it was worth a shot, or maybe we didn't really had anything better to do.

"You may cast your spell if you must but i believe their methods to be simpler than that. These demons have a taste for teleporting people into the sky and then dropping them, that is most likely what happened unfortunately."

Mariel casts Detect magic, focusing on Ori, and concentrating on it for 3 rounds.

"I could use that blood you gathered to scry on them, see if they are still alive, and possible where they are."

Andrann still kept his silence. Seated, he had his helmet on his legs, held by his gauntleted hands. He slowly rubbed the leathery part of his gauntlet to the top of his helmet while listening to the conversation.

"Ori, as far as effects on you go, I am currently seeing 8 effects on you. If you don't know the source of any of these, we may have found the tracker. There are 2 abjuration sources, 2 conjuration sources, 1 divination source, 2 evocation sources, and one transmutation. Do you known where all of these are coming from? If not, I can try to dispel the unknown one."

"Eight sounds correct. If no one here has any further doubts I believe we should make haste to leave here."

"I will attempt to run our disguise before we leave. Hopefully, the demons will be confused by it."

Mariel heads towards a window overlooking the exterior.

she arrives at the window overlooking the courtyard, outer wall, gate, and outer garden.

All right, time for that distraction. Hope they buy it

Mariel casts Silent image, creating a duplicate of the party, and Ori, and has them run out of the gates, before clustering around the illusion of Mariel, who makes the correct gestures for a teleportation spell, at which point they vanish, as though teleported.

Mariel then keeps on observing, trying to judge if the demons fell for the trick.

Mariel heads back to the group

"Well, I hope that worked, but somehow I doubt it. Still, it was worth a shot. Is there a back way out of here?"

[bindin garoth]

Axile is still annoyed at the moment, although he wouldn't admit it of course. He instead watches at the mage makes a minor illusion of sorts.

'That was really inefficient. I could of made one a lot easier without wasting that excess arcane energy.....'

Of course, he's only thinking in terms like this because of his annoyance. In fact, he continues to remain silent, letting others talk out the best way to handle the situation.

"there is no back way that I am aware of, it is built into the mountain."

[Tegannie]

"If there's no back way, do we have much choice than to just walk out? I suppose we could try to sneak out..." Cassie says. I wonder if I can find a secret way out" she thinks to herself.

[Archmage1]

"Well, if we want to sneak out, I can cast invisibility on someone, which should greatly increase their chances of getting out unobserved. I could also hide, and walk out, or teleport myself and three others to the outskirts of the town, before waiting for everyone else to catch up. If we wait eight hours, I could teleport everyone, or make everyone invisible, but I don't have the spells memorized to do that currently."

Mariel, honey, could you stop acting like you are the only one versed in magic in the room?

I smile to the elf, concealing my expression and sweetening my voice as much as I can.

-Not trying to stop your lovely discussion. It is certainly interesting to see how you are able to wield the arcana and arguments with a mastery like no one I've ever seen. Although, excuse my stupidness, but I would really appreciate to know where are you planning to run to, before running there.

"I was thinking somewhere outside of town, presumably in the direction that this key to the map is. I will point out that I have never assumed that you know nothing of magic, rather that you know nothing of my magic, which is a very different thing. If you have invisibility, or nondetection, we can certainly use that."

[Tharione]

"I must leave any escape plans more elaborate than simply exiting and moving north with great haste to you, but we do have not have 8 hours to wait."

"Then I believe we will need to make a run for it. Is everyone ready to go, or is there more healing to be done?"

[bindin garoth]

"............ I'm good." Axile says after a long pause. He decides it's best to keep his binds where they are, due to his arcane energies running out (on the high end at least), and should something happen to someone, they'll want his Necro bind.

He simply gets up and follows the rest out, ready for whatever they find out there.
