Seeing no source of the bolts, Mariel, presuming that this is an attack, will create a wall of smoke on her left side, running to the door, and take a 5 foot step further forwards.

I move, standing by Ori covered by the pillar, and releasing Casker into the air.

-If you can approach the next door, do so.

My voice is almost a whisper and I am quite sure that he can make the words easily.

Then he looks towards the darkness trying to sort out any attacker or anything unusual.

Mariel fails to maintain her minimum forward speed and falls to the ground.

Casker flies off toward the door, getting a little over halfway.

Bolts fly from either direction at those who have not taken cover.
The first two collide with Axiles armor and it becomes apparent that they are made of glass as they shatter into useless shards on impact. The next two strike him in much softer areas and splinter into shards which drive deep into leg and abdomen.

Axile takes 17 and 9 damage and loses 2 second level spell slots.

Mariel scrapes herself up off of the floor, somehow looking weaker than she usually does.

"This is REALLY starting to annoy me. Either we leave, or we attack the sources of the bolts, whatever they are."

Mariel disappears from sight, before she heads in the direction the bolts are coming from.

"Agreed!" Axile says. He hate this; there was very little he could do at this point. Figuring that his minor magic spell wouldn't help them find their foes, he drops it. Moving a little to his right, he fires a cone of flames in that directing, hoping to hit the foe.

"No!" said Andrann. "Fall prone and stop moving around like fools! It might actually be a trap!" he yelled before reaching down to the ground.

That sounds like a good enough advice to me. Tightening myself to the ground while I wait for Casker to arrive to the door and I whisper in Ori's ear.

-Once my familiar gets to the door I can switch anyone's places with him, do you want to give a try and open the door? You are probably the safest bet.

[Tharione]

Axile unleashes a torrent of burning flame. Which beats back the shadows during its brief existence, but does nothing else apparent.

Andrann takes to the floor to avoid bolt-fire

Ori looks to Firia and nods. She whispers back,

"Once i get the key we can make a run for the exit."

Casker makes it to the door and lands in front of it.

Mariel vanishes from sight but the light she gives off does not. the circle of light shifts drastically.

Glass bolts fly once again from either side, raining down and shattering upon Axile.

Mariel flies up to the source, and attempts to pass through the wall.(Move action, I believe)

Disbelieves the wall, unfortunately there is still a wall there, just with arrow slots in it every 20' or so. Beyond this particular arrow slit is a fairly human looking man with a complex looking crossbow and a stitched-closed mouth.

Yelled back:
"There are arrow slits in the walls, and an archer on this side. Get over here, and I can get you through the wall!"

Mariel casts Glitterdust on the archer(dc22 will), and abrupt jaunts to the other side of the wall.

-What... the...

Mariel was nowhere to be seen and her voice was hard to hear, she said something on the lines of arrow slits? Charged ahead by herself? Well perhaps it was a bit more problematic than that.

I look at Andrann and Axile.

-Where the hell did the elf go? We should be moving towards the door.

I approach Ori, keeping the quiet voice.

-I'll get you to the door, prepare to hide.

Once Ori gives a nod or something Firia will use benign transposition (from the wand inside his blade) to switch the positions of Casker and Ori UMD(1d20+21)[37]

Great. He was starting to feel drained from all of the bolts attacking him. They were definitely draining some of his arcane powers, he was glad he had some of his energies bound to himself, at least they couldn't take that!

Axile hears Firia talking to Ori about bolting towards the door. He figures it'd be best to take out these archers first, as they could simply case after them if they run away. Besides, he was one to never back down from a challenge. With several glass bolts sticking out of him, he runs straight towards Mariel's voice, trusting that she know's what she's talking about.

Double-move towards Mariel's voice. Spend a swift action to use a charge from the belt of battle, getting another move action.

If I reach a wall, Axile will trust Mariel's voice and try to run through the wall.

Will save (1d20+7)[23] Don't I get a +2 to disbelieve for being warned about it? If so, that needs to be factored in too.

Andrann, if he could determine the direction of the gate, would crawl forwards to it. If his allies would not, or he could not determine its direction, he would stay close to Firia and Ori. Nevertheless, he would call out loudly. "Just keep your heads down! In this situation, not even demons should be able to hit something shrouded by the darkness of the ground!" he would say, most likely to be addressing especially Axile.

[Tharione]

Axile runs full out to the left into a wall, colliding with an audible smack, while Andraan crawls along the ground toward the inner iron gate.

Ori nods to Firia and switches places with Casker. up to the door. The light ten suddenly shifts radically. All going dark for the majority of those in the main chamber. The clatter of bolts on stone is audible.

Axile:

The wall is illusionary! you can see through it to note arrow slits about 15' up along the wall (the one directly above you is now radiating brilliant light). and at 20' intervals along the wall horizontally.

Mariel:

You are in a 120' long stone hallway with spiraling stairwells down at either end, nearby is a crossbowman covered in glittering sparkles. He casts a spell centered on himself, filling the area with glittering dust and forcing a will save from you.

Great now there is no light around. I cannot see a damn thing. I put my hands in the backpack searching for something useful, I had cataloged all of Bill's stuff and he should have a lantern some... here it is.

I pull the lantern out of the back and pressing myself to the wall I ignite it, making sure that the light beam is covered by the column at my side, pointing towards the door were Ori should be. If everything works she should need some light to see.

-Casker, your move again, be careful.

Again I point my familiar towards the door.

Blinded by the sparkles, Mariel will step back, and drop a cloud of bewilderment where she remembers the archer is.

"Axile, if you are there, me getting you up here has been delayed by the enemies here."

Axile is angered by this turn of events! Was he suppose to just wait around for her? That was useless! Of course, he had other ways of getting up there, but it'd require him to lose some of his binds. After taking a second to debate, he decides it'd be best for him to get up there and help!

He lets go of some of the powerful arcane energies circulating around him, letting them dissipate into the wind. He then calls upon his arcane energies, using his talents to prevent himself from having to lose his energies. An aura briefly envelops him, before two white wings sprout from his back.

Using a swift and full-round action to bind a Heightened Rope Trick (Bet you thought you'd never see that spell heightened! ). (Full-Round due to metamagic use)

White wings burst forth from Axiles back as he binds anew.
When Firia lights the hooded lamp it can be seen Andraan continued his prone crawl forward.
Ori tumbles back into the light. A sizable gash in her left arm is easily visible.
Casker is hesitant to repeat his flight.

I need to be able to see. Time to go about fixing this blindness.

Mariel casts dispel magic, targeting the glitterdust effect on her.

"It's time to get rid of the pesky one....." Axile mutters, before starting to fly up to the aid of Mariel. Unfortunately, he wasn't use to wings, and ends up stumbling a little bit as he flies up.

He does manage to get within view of the slots where they were firing their arrows, however, with a simple snap of his fingers, unleashes a gout of flames at the fool.

Unfortunately, I can't fly straight up. So I'll fly up 15ft and back 15ft (towards the center of the map).

Well whatever is going on danger seems to be around. I look at Ori who seems hurt, and at Andrann on the floor. Whatever it is it is not going to catch me silently.

Ori steels her stance, readying for something to come at her.

[Tharione]

Axile flies up and back unleashing a cone at the wall of flame that briefly illuminates quite well.The lone figure visible through the arrow slot appears only mildly worse for wear.
Ori retreats from the darkness and prepares to combat whatever might chase her from it and Andraan crawls along the ground. Closer toward Ori Al'Kasaar.

When Firia begins to sing, despite the frustration of the situation, all of the party are uplifted and emboldened. Suddenly the odds don't seem all that bad.

Mariel finds she can see once more! she also finds that the one she's sharing a hall with is slightly more roasted than before.

The darkness rushes forward into the light like a tsunami, enveloping Ori.

"Everyone, head to the left side of the room. There is a passage there. If you are all gathered, I can teleport you through the wall. First, to deal with the enemy."

Axile moves back another 15" just enough to ensure he can stay up. Seeing his blast didn't do much, he still chooses to unleash another burst of energy, this time streaks of lightning, at the foe, hoping to harm it more.

Most of my other spells are debuffs, but either areas (Mariel would be caught up) or wouldn't do much without melee support (ray of exhaustion, stolen breath). And my summons won't do much without the conjuration bind to boost them.........

Andrann does his best to stand up and follow Mariel's directions.

[Tharione]

Axile flies backwards and unleashes a brilliant lightning bolt through the arrow slot, the man beyond appears completely unaffected to his eyes though.

Andraan forfeits his pursuit of Ori and his crawling to rise and make for the wall.
Ori ducks out of the darknened area, looking even more wounded, and rushes up to a wall.
Firia moves over toward the wall, continuing her song.

Meanwhile Mariel blasts the practically motionless crossbowman with an orb of force, knocking him to the floor, where he bleeds heavily.

The areas of light resistant darkness separate and vanish.

Mariel walks down the corridor a bit, so that she can see out of the arrow slits

"Ready? Once you get close to me, I will cast the spell to bring you all up."

Once the others agree, and come in range, Mariel casts Dimension Step to teleport everyone into the corridor she is in.

Axile is clearly aggravated by the ineffectiveness of his assault. 'Knew I should of learned some other blast spells........ My other spells won't do much for now..... It'd be better to save them for later.' He thinks to himself. He starts to turn around in his flight, but unfortunately, due to his lack of practice with flying, is unable to completely come back around.

He does, however, unleash another blast this time of crystal shards, at the man.

Average flight maneuverability: can only turn 90 degrees in a single turn. I should end up near the pillar to the south of my position.

Seeing that he won't be able to get in a clear blast at the foe, Axile continues his flight, and is able to turn himself around. Unfortunately he is not able to get all the way back towards his foe.
