Come one, come all, but all must come in costume to my grand Halloween bash! No admittance without a costume that properly hides your identity, but for the fearless and bold many exciting horrors await you beyond the party's doors.
This little soiree of mine is being held in a spooky old abandoned casino on the edge of town, reopening for the first time in half a year with special permission from a very lovely troll I know. So bring friends, bring family, but leave your names at the door. On all hallow's eve you have just one chance to be someone else for the night, and I would hate to see you squander it.
Now, if you'll all excuse me, I have some evil cackling to do. Toodles!
Well, believing it will work is sort of how magic works, so it's worth a shot. Maybe there's something to this Worship=Power bit. It would be remarkable to study. Actually I've got a better Idea!

"Stuck to the wall, is a large flatscreen television, somehow running and mounted on the wall. It is sleek and black, with some small chrome buttons on the button, playing on the screen, over and over, is a reel. There's a dark room, hardly anything visible wherever this was filmed. There's a chair in the middle of the room, chrome, shiny, though mostly hidden in shadow. The only things visible is a figure sitting in the chair, a large purple pin-striped trenchcoat with rotted gold sleeves and patterns. Only the legs and hands, tapping away at the front of the chair can be seen.
The hands are gloved with purple felt and softly tap, tap, tap at the sleek chrome chair. There's heavy, almost mechanical breathing. The gloves have the initial "E" in splendid spiraling writing on the palm. The background is hidden in shadow, but the faint drip, drop, drip of water is faintly heard, along with some bubbling and boiling noises, including the hum of electricity, from somewhere.
It speaks out. "Greetings, Nexusians. It is I. It has been a while, now...Friends, listen to me." The voice is cold and mechanical, carefully articulated and calm. "Now, you strong, wise people have certainly lived through your fair share of catastrophes and tyrants. I've done my homework, you Nexusians are hard as nails...stubborn. I made the mistake of wanting to rule. No, that was before. You cannot be ruled. It is impossible. Yet, there is a faint shadow government ruling here. The Council. Some of you might have heard of them. Leaders of the various organizations. AMEN, HALO, NO, WAtchtower, MURDER, and the worst of them all, REMNANT. These people are led by monsters. Power-hungry egomaniacs. I know this myself, due to past experience."
"Now, I'm sure some of you have different opinions! The organizations themselves are mostly good for this beautiful city. I wish to free all of you from the bonds that this shadowy "Council" has enslaved you all with their lies and false promises. All these people want is their own advances in power. Magtok, an arrogant, pompous, careless cyborg. Squandering away all of his mighty technology, not for the good of the city, but for his own selfish needs...Doing whatever he wants to anyone. With no consequence. Is that fair? Tobias Vulpan. A god. One of the most powerful figures in the Nexus. A bully, if someone does not do things his way, they end up dead. Or worse. Flattening anyone that doesn't agree with him. NO, led by a shadowy, lying, stealth goblin. Dipsnig. A leader of a band of bloodthirsty bounty hunters. A sneak, a liar, and a cheating businessman."
"Are these really who you want leading you through crisis? Corrupt, arrogant, selfish creatures...Selling out their fellow man, or killing...I am the bane of such creatures, I will fight for you, Nexus. Fight against the liars, thieves, and the manipulators. I will. And to you, Council, I will bring you down. Enjoy your time you have left while you can, or change. Soon...Nexus, you will truly be free. I promise this."
The video will then repeat constantly.

Are you guys sure it's the same guy? I mean, I'm not seeing any of the old "BWAHAHAHAHA I'M RICH AND THE NEXUS WILL BE MINE, ALL MINE" sort of stuff we'd normally expect from that fellow. Also, AMEN and MURDER aren't on the Council, and the latter is just a silly urban legend, besides. And I'm not pompous, but the rest of that description is totally on the money.
