Read in Between the Lines: A Story Game!

The rules are simple! All you have to do is tell a story...as a group! What do I mean? Each person can only post one word toward the story per post, and can't post again until 3 others have posted. Once someone thinks the sentence is done, end it with a period, and start a new one. Be sure to include the words from earlier posts so that we all know what's going on. It's been mentioned that some would like to not make it terribly silly, and instead actually tell a story, so keep that in mind!

I'll choose the first one, but anyone can pick the topic so long as they are the first to post it at the top. Be sure your puns are in white text so the other players don't catch on!

So to start us off, lets have the first subject be Geology puns. Anything having to do with rocks!
And so on. It should be easy to just copy the story and add a word to your next post. Don't quote anything, just copy, paste, and post. Have fun!

Obviously, this was a violation of the fief that wasn't intended for such drastic measures. The forces of good mourned the performers of classical legend and historical ballads, knowing that without them, the epics would surely become forgotten lore. Scribed in haste, bards and orators knew time was running short. They decided to fall as one and take treason against this great loss. The people hid the fireflies- STOP! Stop oppressing them, the jabberwockian peasants cried
