"Well thank you for remembering ma'am. You might make an excellent butler yourself some day ma'am!" Remembering stuff can be very important.
"We do have those things ma'ams. They're this way ma'ams. Do you need towels or swimsuits or floaties ma'ams?" Butler asks, turning to lead the way to the lake and lake house.

"I'll be right back ma'ams." Butler says, heading into the lakehouse to get some floaties. Ample opportunity for random other visitors to meet them, though admittedly he is going to be back next post.

"Quite nice to meet you, Vidalia."
Bill delicately takes Vidalia's hand between his thumb and palm while he shakes it. Otherwise he would have cut her up with his extremely sharp claws! And that's never good. "Er, yes, I am, I guess."
What a weird question/observation! It sounded like Vidalia was talking to a baby, or an animal.
And Bill's voice sounds like Bane's from Dark Knight Rises, in case you were wondering.
Strange. I thought it was more a comment on how much bigger he is, than she.
Vidalia looks back to Nurse Lucy. Anything in particular bring you to GLoG? Need help, want to join our redemption program, looking for love in all the wrong places? I can help you with all but one of those. she winks back to the big guy.
The unnatural darkness eventually swirls away, spilling out of the cabin and away to...somewhere. The ascetic emptiness of Zero's room is laid out for all to see. There's only a bed here now. There remains nothing else.
Upon the walls blood has been smeared. Hundreds of intricate symbols line the walls, imparting to the room an almost haunting atmosphere. There's a summoning circle here. A sigil there.
Valaira redecorated.
And she won't let go of Zero if she can help it. She won't let him disappear again.
"Do you promise to stay with me forever?"
Zero makes note of the symbols for later research but then looks back down at Valaria.
"O-okay then. I... I missed you. We should probably head to bed or grab something to eat so we can both talk to..."
"Whoever runs the redemption program here in the morning."
Ironically, Valaira knows little to nothing about the redemption program at GLoG, even though she is a part of it. Nobody's ever sought her out to check in on her or anything. Nobody but Zero. But he's supposedly here for redemption just like she is! This program isn't doing her any good, so she should probably educate herself on how she should, theoretically, proceed out of her depression.
Valaria attempts to affectionately nip at Zero's shirt.
"It feels good to finally have you back. You make me feel safe. Safe from myself."
Lucy takes a moment to word a response, recounting the events taht brought them to GLoG.
"For me, I wished to see the organisation based on goodness. It has been a depressing time since I awoke in these lands. I am afraid I might have dragged poor Bill along a bit."
Investigating the bloody stains would unveil little about their purpose. Scarce are markings that aren't of Valaira's own design. And these lines and curves react to being watched. The angles are not fixed. The squiggly lines writhe. The arrows jut out of the image like walls of spears waiting to impale passers-by. The channeling foci constantly warp into altogether dissimilar stains without rhyme or reason. And they're more complex than the most advanced circuity in most of the Nexus.
The raw power of any magic cast while in this room should triple or quadruple with these marks in place. Worst of all, the blood was collected from sapient beings.
Whatever Valaira's been up to recently hasn't been pacifistic.
"Do you want to talk about it? Talking might make you feel better?"
Valaira offers, attempting to drown herself in Zero's scent. By the looks of the room and her, it'd stand to reason that she's lost all of her clothing. Every single scrap of it.
"And if talking doesn't do the trick, I've an ace up my sleeve that I've been saving for a rainy day! Wanna see it?"
"I not going to be a butler. I going to be a soldier like Daddy and Missy," Jefferies says.
"Thank you, Butler. We have swimsuits and towels, but floaties are probably a good idea." Missy says.

Sophie spots Missy and an... orcish girl? At least she thinks the child is an orc. The non-human species in the Nexus can be confusing at times for someone used only to humans and supernatural almost-humans.
She approaches them, Nicholas the cat following suit.

Missy just finished pulling off Jefferies' top to reveal her suit underneath, when Sophie arrives. "Oh, hi Sophie. This is Jefferies. Jefferies, this is Ms Mouchabiere."
Jefferies looks up at Sophie and Nicholas. "Is you a catperson wif you cat on the outside?" O_o
"Hello, Missy. And hello Jefferies," Sophie says with a warm smile before Jefferies prestents her "catperson with a cat on the outside" theory.
"Um, no. I'm a human. And this is my cat Nicholas."
The red-furred Siberian cat walks over closer to the soldier and the little orc.

"I knowed humans, and I knowed cats, but I neber knowed a catperson before today, when I meeted Mr Butler. So den I thought maybe you was a catperson too. I'm an orc!" She crouches down to pet Nicholas - possibly a bit rougher than the cat would like. "I used to think cats were for food."
"She was orphaned 6 months ago," Missy says quietly to Sophie.
Nicholas shrinks a bit from Jefferies, but doesn't run away. Rough pets are still pets.
Sophie nods slowly in acknowledgement. "Some people do eat cats. But here we prefer them as pets. I got him just a few days ago. Isn't he great?" she adds with a smile.

More of "entire body being mashed down" pets. Besides, Jefferies can't reach Butler's ears.
"I yike him. But does he fight? Gorgutz lives with us and he yikes to fight wif me. But him's not a cat, him's a dog. Hi Mr Butler! Is you going to go swimming too?"
"Thank you, Butler," Missy says. If the floaties aren't already blown up, she'll take them and start up on that. If they are, then she'll skip that step and get right to removing her outer clothes and putting them in her bag.
"Hi Butler," Sophie says with a smile before turning back to Jefferies. "I don't think he fights. Dogs like to fight more than cats. And I think he's a little too small to fight," she says.
Nicholas seems to have gotten used to Jefferies' pets by now.

Jefferies immediately forgets all about poor Nicholas in the excitement of learning to swim. She jumps up and finishes undressing. "Will you come too, Miss Mooshy Bear?"
Sophie nods with a smile.
"Sure. Just let me get my swimsuit." With that, she heads to her cabin. She should be back next post.
Nicholas stays on the lakeshore and meows. Pay attention to him, silly two-legs!

Quinn plotclones herself when somebody gets noticed!
And Alysha gets a wave and a smile from the paladin/telepath. "Hello there! Can I help with anything?"
Jamie (also plotcloned) grins and waves at her friend!
Alysha smiles and waves at both of them. Hey guys. I found a girl that seems to have some kind of memory issues, and I thought somebody here might be able to help. Alysha turns to where Yuki was standing, and finds her further down the hall. She'll call out to her.
Hey, Yuki. This is Quinn and her daughter Jamie. Quinn runs the infirmary here, and might be able to help you.

Yuki spins around and walks over with a smile on her face.
"Hello Quinn, I'm Yuki.
Yuki is dressed in a simple white robe that falls down to her just above her ankles. Quinn may have noticed the washed but still slightly visible blood stains on the back of it.
By the time Butler and Sophie return, Missy has laid out their towels on the beach and is carefully putting the floaties on Jefferies arms. It's a little tricky because of the little orc's claws, but they're kept filed down a bit anyway to avoid any injuries to Gorgutz.
"I wanna go on the Big Slide!" Jefferies says!
"Let's get in the water first and practice swimming before we do the slide."
Sophie returns after a while, wearing a one-piece swimsuit. She slips into the water and waits for Jefferies and Missy to do the same.
Nicholas stretches lazily on the shore. He's not going to enter water, obviously.

After HT spends far too much time determining that tektek does not have swim suits for little girls without breasts, she decides to just describe the suits: Jefferies is wearing a pink one piece suit, having picked that up as her current favourite colour from her best friend Lottie. She was very disappointed that she couldn't find a girl's suit with any of her favourite shooter game characters on it.
Missy is wearing a red sporty looking suit, the type a lifeguard might wear. It reveals that the swirly tattoos on her face continue down onto her torso, arms, and upper legs. It also shows the top of the scar from her heart surgery that runs along her breastbone.
Jefferies still wants to do the Giant Slide first, but not enough to tantrum and risk Time Out. So she steps into the water with Missy instead.
"Heehee! It's squishy in my toes!" Jefferies says. "Oooh! I see a fishy!" She tries to catch the fish with her hands, but the fish gets away. "Der is grass growing in the water, Missy!"

What ace would this be?
Zero asks cautiously, remembering the napalm, the baby cow and the epic meal time reenactment.
