This is the out of character thread, for out of character ramblings and such. Please make your first post here have your character name, a link to your sheet, a very short bio of said character for other players, and your color. You also might want to think about a picture and maybe a character theme. The picture in particular helps me out, but it's entirely up to you guys.
Ezren is a wizardry student turned adventuring archaelogist. He has a quick laugh and a quick wit, and prefers to adventure by laying a groundwork of careful planning, and then allowing inspiration to strike as it does. He's Blue, with a solid flavoring or Red and Green.
Ezren Cobb looks like this:
And he will speak in Lime, a very arcane color.
And his theme can best be described as "Looking for adventure"

Ty was born into an elven settlement and lived as a pampered cat to a child he grew up with. When the child attained adulthood, Ty felt the infamous "Tibbit wanderlust" and struck off on his own. Events led to him becoming first a monk who relinquished material goods, then a paladin , serving justice wherever he can.
Alignment color Wrg, speech color Indigo
Theme of making hard decisions and fighting for the greater good.
Marlia'zara--she refuses to use her name for non-elves--had arrived in the city very recently. She's a swordswoman with a serious outlook on things. She laughs slowly, smiles even more slowly, and would prefer to draw her sword than talk. She's erudite and confident when required, but favors doing whatever she wants rather than what others require of her. She maintains a strict self-enforced code of honor.
Theme of fighting for self-improvement.
She's quite Red, but also extremely White, with very little influence from other colors.
She'll be dark red in speech.

Farai is a woman of Amazonian build, with the light brown skin and hair of a southerner. She has an athletic and slightly arrogant air about her, as if she's embarrassed to be seen near non-warriors. No one, least of all herself, would call her pretty, though most would say she has striking features. Farai has many scars from her days as a barbarian, the most prominent being one along her arm from an altercation with a lion. She bears the abstract black tattoos of adulthood along the edge of her face and traveling down her arms and back.
She dresses in durable and slightly travel worn clothing cut in the style of the Northern Empire. Typically, she wears her slightly reinforced leather armor underneath her clothing, having gotten so used to it that she scarcely notices.
Her most prized possession is her sword, a large two handed bastard sword of northern make. It belonged to her master when he was younger. The sword is rather plain, though brightly polished. The sheathe is decorated with images of large pouncing cats, her master's idea of a joke.
Farai is a bit prickly and aggressive, a bit of a Blood Knight. She wants to be the best at what she does. She likes to think of herself as controlled, disciplined and cultured. So, yes, she's a bit of a snob. Oh and if you can't fight, she'll look at you like something that crawled in front of her and died.
Essentially, her natural personality is one that exults in fighting with emotion and she's trying her best to suppress aspects of that.
Theme of discipline of body, denial of past and self-control of mind.
She ended up in this city because she's looking for something to whet her skills on. If she helps someone helpless along the way, then that works out just fine for her. At the very least, a city will contain someone civilized to converse with.

I'm forgetful and lazy. I need to be prodded into doing things.
Shortly after I get everything set up. I'm hoping for Saturday, with everyone posting once a day. That seem good with people? It's going to start out with RP, so get your descriptive hats on.
My hat is octarine, with an impressive feather from a dodo/peacock hybrid. It's shaped like a very large and board top-hat, with a small fan attached to the top. It blows cool and refreshing air into my hat, carefully cooling my brain. My hat also contains several rabbits, a pigeon, a hoop and a few baskets (Woven underwater, of course). The hat is decorated with pictures of everything. (Everything is mostly blank space, however, which makes it boring. And small.).

My hat is a well-made, beautifully crafted tricorner hat. It is made of a mix of displacer beast, dragon scale, and pure mithral fiber. As I wear it, the displacer beast skin causes an aura of dragons and metals to glint all around my head. It makes me terrible at hiding. Each time I take a step, a new image of pure beauty glints around my head.
My hat is a mysterious looking top hat, with smooth, steep sides that go straight up, ending in a plateau of sorts that is of a slightly concave nature. The brim, while jutting out, is stiff and steady, an indication of good care and quality. Materials-wise, it is made of simple, polished leather, though it is infused with all sorts of magics, so I can pull something out at a moment's notice.
The old man glared at all of you in turn, making his displeasure clear. Slowly, he pulls out a wide-brimmed hat, made of aged suade, and starts to smooth out the wrinkles left in it from being crammed in a coat pocket. He lowers it onto his head slowly, with a reverence that indicates that this hat means a lot to him, and many lovingly made mendings are clear on the brim and cap of the hat. He looks each of you in the eye, one at a time, and speaks, his voice creaky with age. Y'all got some work to do, I see.
Oh, one thing before I put the IC post up tomorrow: invent some reason that you guys would be enlisting in a very poor quality mercenary group. It's an excuse for you all to be working together at the start and I don't care what the reason is, even a drunken wager will work. Just have a reason and keep it in mind. Oh, and tell me the reason, too.
Marlia'zara "joined" because she'd accidentally cut up someone important in the company in a duel. So rather than get arrested for killing somebody she was press-ganged into the mercs by their leader. Because it's not murder if they're filthy mercenaries.
Glim joined for the coin, the experience and the possibility of pranking. Being cast out from his own society, he needs money to live, but he is still young enough for the wanderlust and his heritage fuels his need for good fun.
Ty lives among the people, and he hasn't experienced the life of a mercenary yet he feels the need to do so before continuing his adventures in the everyday life of the common man.
Ezren heard a rumor that the mercenary company was going to be hired to clear out an old tomb nearby, and he wants to be there are soon as possible to recover as much archaeological info as possible before the mercs crush it all.
Sorry, didn't get the email. Gonna have to resubscribe. Either way: In the future assume Marlia'zara expresses disinterest unless it involves fighting something living and strong.
