Also, does anyone "look" like they're well prepared for desert survival?
There's this crazy Vistani lady. She's definitely dressed right for travel, and the insectoid following her around is bearing full packs that look like they've already seen a few thousand miles. Annoying a half-giant with a whip isn't exactly what you'd call a 'survival trait', though.
Sorry. Internet is screwing with me. Will be back to posting tomorrow after the repair guy gets here.

To all games that are waiting on my response, I apologize. Recently I've stepped up my efforts to find a job and have started spending 12-15 hours a day walking around any town or city the bus can reach applying to everything under the sun. It doesn't leave much time for anything else.
Van looks like he's made treks like this before. His armor is well taken care of, but even with polish it's clearly old and worn. There are scratches and dents on his shield too, but it seems quite intact as well. He looks surly though and messy.
Van's hair could be a bit darker and the scar should be a lot bigger. Other then that though, he's good.

Thank you. The IC stuff really is great flavor, I just want more of it from you at o'dark:30 in the morning.
Last questions before I post. Were Van and Calder inserted together, or separately (if separate, do they know what the other is doing)? And is it possible to have our weapons smuggled in?
Van and Calder definitely know they are "same team" but they were inserted separately. Everyone is fully armed. In fact, a caravan wouldn't take someone who wasn't armed, considering them dead weight in the event of an attack by elven raiders or worse
I'm sure the spikes on the outside of the fortress are totally necessary to its functioning. How else would House Stel keep the Balloonzilla monsters from ramming them?
Just for the record, Eveve only stepped in Rahiel's way once, and it can't be proven that she was aware of what she was doing. Maybe she has severe nearsightedness, who knows? -- other than Huren, who got a good close-up look at her eyes and her perceptiveness.
EDIT: Oh, hey, I missed where Meltheim called us 'ragtag'! That means we're going to end up saving the world!
Eveve is a good girl, it's true. I was just trying to tie up everyone's narrative input to give you all a starting point with the caravan.
Also - I'm trying to draw up your little kank guy. Any suggestions on coloring? They're kind of like oversized ants basically, so 3 segments and all that with pincers on the face and cool lines/dots on the abdomen.

Looks about right to me. Personally, I was envisioning one of the middle pair of legs as the missing one, but I'm not picky. Thanks.
Dimers - I've decided I will treat your kank as an 'obstacle' for whenever we have combat. You can spend a move action to move him around if you want, he doesn't take damage or anything, and he can basically act as a mobile cover.

Better than I expected, really. I figured it wouldn't go anywhere without me adjacent, just like the cart it's based on. In fact, I'm still going to play the beastie that way for the most part. Only if the fluff or the drama really demands it will Gimp move without me effectively 'pulling' it. Like, it'd scamper out of the way of a lava flow, that kind of thing.

Maybe 30, to be on the safe side. Although 40 days in the desert is traditional for some cultures.
