I don't have the sourcebook so I'm going to say no I'm afraid. The idea I have for the adventure would work better for true monsters too.

Same answer I'm afraid; I don't have access to the source material.

Given the prolonged outage of GITP, I'll keep the expressions of interest open until Monday but the sheet submission deadline as Friday.

Great, that's two! Based on the cool character concept, and reasonable assumptions by yourself, that I am happy with the ring; I'll think about the bolts by tomorrow (i'm probably fine with it though).

Yhrasnal, the Hound of Silence.

A nifty little Monk/Barghest working his way up toward being a full fledged assassin.

Rolling hp

Spoiler

<sigh> So... average it is then...

Hmm.. 49 hp. Being the only one using LA is starting to hurt a little.

Yup. LA buyoff would normally help, but you'll still be behind us for a while in many significant ways.

Only place that has a cheap multi-armed template is (to my knowledge) Savage Species, but that's out.
-----
On the other hand you're currently topping the charts on attacks; if only you could trip and/or grapple, you'd be quite dangerous.

LA buyoff doesn't really help, since it doesn't kick in until I have 9 class levels, by which point I'd be 14th level. Until then, my skills will suffer a -3, and I'll be on low hps.

I'm already reasonably dangerous though. I'm not sure how trip or grapple would help there.

Trip and grapple both act as soft crowd control, making you getting injured more manageable.

Also, you are currently the only one of us without DR, which can really help.

Sure, which is why I was questioning 'more dangerous'.

True. To round out my equipment I'm looking at sources of DR and temporary hps for adventurers on a budget.

My original plan was to get a mount, but I just couldn't take the flying shark creature I picked out seriously enough. Maybe I'd be better off with ride(barghest)?

And besides, this was billed as a low to mid-op game, so I didn't want to push it.

True, it is low op. And you're ranged, so you don't have to worry about going toe to toe with something that can eat your face...unless you come at me with a saddle.

Okay so now I'm bouncing between a Thri-Kreen (non-psi) and a choker...

Just so I can make sure I'm not stepping on toes, are there any other multi-armed characters in the works, and if so what is the race?

Togo is a 4 armed Sahaugin (from srd, 3 la race) but he seems to be a ranged character.

I'm currently stacking attacks so I'm kind of like a multi-armed guy, but I'm a trip/grapple focused 'assassin' so you shouldn't be a problem for me. (barghest)

The only other character sheet in is a troll charger, so that's almost certainly fine.

Yeah... only 2 arms here... would he be the only one in this group?!?

it's 50/50 atm. You and me against the freaks.
--------
Come to think of it, how do you feel about Hobgoblins, wolves and evil outsiders? I'm thinking us standard 4 limb guys could partner up; I tend to prefer troll company in my monster games.

The only speed bump is the whole "you're chaotic" thing, but a monk should be able to tolerate that.

I'm not bad in close combat, but I'm slighty better at range, depending on the opponent. DR I can't penetrate means I need to close to be effective.

and Doxkid only has arms at all some of the time....
