Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
Quote:
Right so they come to this empty field and are sent along their merry way via the carriages. They come across a small castle that has three towers two of equal height with one in the center taller than the two.
They wander about and find the doors are locked if they try to unlock it they find the tumblers refuse to move (I got the magic for it) after spending a moment or two in solitude a mist seeps in than a voice hisses from all around.
"Welcome those who dare. You are here for one reason. To become the stuff of legends." As that line comes out the smokes shifts around everyone forming armor or robes making them look mighty. " To follow the path of destiny" it shifts into a path that goes skyward "Fraught with peril. Of traps" it shifts into a massive pendulum that swings down on them and poofs into smoke " Of magic " it swirls through them towards the stairs of the school "and worst of all" it begins building into a dragon " "Monsters" the dragon lets out its fiery breath and out falls a thin man dressed in a grey longcoat, a fedora, and boots. The smoke dissipates as he does "You're all fortunate though to have come to the right place. Welcome to school. Now it just so happens that I've got the keys to all of your luggage in my hands." The man tosses it in the air where a little birdie swipes it and drops it in over the dungeon.
"Welp class is in session get to work it's going to rain pretty soon" shifts into smoke and seeps under the door.
Keep in mind by shift I mean that it's still in smoke form. They now must run through the dungeon to get their keys. Simple request throw in a lurking ray to hit them from the bottom it comes from pathfinder but I'm not using any umbral manta. Also to spook them toss in the sound of grinding gears and something heavy and metal being dragged along the ground.
Modified Version in progress, reposting in quote for while I work.

Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
Finally, it was the day, after many letters, (and some practice on the case of the girls) you where heading to [NEED SCHOOL NAME], the boys boarding school and much touted 'Academy of Heroes and Villains', emphasising on the heroes.
Now you would receive the training you deserved.
Travelling by Carriage with your stuff separated from you, you arrive outside of the castle that is the school. The walls rise in seamless and almost shinny granite, with twin towers marking the edges of the front wall, and a large tower seeming further back, like it's embedded in the back wall of the castle, and it stands to a inspiring height.
Piling out and milling around amongst other would-be-students (for there was one last test, this you knew), mists start to form around the ground, clinging to feet.
You knew that the schools headmaster was one for theatrics, albeit being disillusioned, it was kind of... Sad the lengths he was going to. However, no one you had ever met so much whispered a word as to the next test, there were simply smiles or disgruntled growls when people thought about it.
Before you can get to your luggage, a pillar of mist forms and disperses, a humanoid form coalescing.
"Welcome those who dare walk the paths of heroism a path of great risks and rewards! Where destiny itself if fought and beaten!"
The black robed humanoid raised his hands, and out of the fading light of the blue sky, a single lightning bold struck the ground somewhere near you, dispersing a circle of mist. Off on high, it sounded like a dragon roared, but nothing was visible.
Then suddenly the voice became normal, not so booming, disillusioned voice.
It must be the headmaster.
"Well, class is in session for your first test, this will be watched. The Keys to the Luggage Carriages, which I have-"
He throws the keys up, and a previously unseen bird grabs it as it flies by.
"-are being taken away and you will be able to find a single-use master key with the key to your dorms in the dungeons to your left, some members of the 'Order' curriculum will arrive soon to guide you to them. For now I suggest that you talk amongst yourselves and organise yourselves into groups.... Five is a good size... You might want to start this soon; I've been told unnatural rain is the forecast."
The man turns, and without any dramatic flair whatsoever, begins to walk away, fading out of view.
Collectively, where hate a poison you could kill a nation with a drop of your annoyance at the head master.

Ok, hows that. If you want we could do a conversation inside the carriges time but I think it would be better just reposting the Above.

Spoiler
I didn't quite make out what you meant with the last phrase, the Italic one. Could you rephrase it? The rest seems ok.
Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
Google translate helps with the name.
Ok, change that last line to:
Collectively, if hate was poison, you could kill a nation with a drop of your annoyance at the head master.
That might aid understanding.
As for what it means, that the group at a whole (not neccesarily the players) are currently peeved.
Also, roughly how many people would be in the intake? 50? 60?

Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
I don`t know about their being others students or the villains thing. The school is working to make adventurers out of people. It`s a small government project so it has a small supplies of people

Ok, Doomboy make any neccessary Last minute changes and post. I'll make up a couple of 'Order' cericulum characters designed to be guard of the dungeon, mostly to minimise death.

Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
What about that speech I wrote. It got an edit. Other than that it's fine but I still want my contribution. I mean we shouldn't tell the players how they feel.

Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
Ok, 1, If a mod is looking, can we get this moved to the OOC group (And we can rename this to DM Organisation).
And now, before I forget, based on the classes there looking at I need to make 2 teachers (at least) as Law: Combat and Magic.
And I'll also need to make 2 lesser dungeon guids (probably just make them identicle but still). And it was level 15-20 the range for teachers?
Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
Eh not a fan of the multiple teachers. My mind sees it as a poorly funded school as it's just starting up so they're limited on everything. The monsters weren't bought they were caught and they're barely tamed. The school is actually a small castle that was bought in a very interesting way.

Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
I thought we could each make one character for our department (lvl 20)
and have cohorts or something, that are their teachers (lvl 15?)
I couldn't cover everything with the teacher idea I have at the moment...
BTW: is it already time for me to take over the students? Are they entering my dungeon?
Re: Adventuring School (Only look as a DM at the moment.)
An idea of the area with the school being in the bottom right corner. A relatively large town that specializes in transportation in the top left and a little treat for myself in the bottom left.
