Sorry about all the edits and forgot-its, literally just rolled outta bed.
Nothing like blowing a 1/day power on a mook as a catalyst for dice-luck lol

From what I read about spiritual weapon, it is like a spell in terms of how it hits.
This is what I got from it: It's attacks hit based on spell resistance, not attack rolls. And if it fails it is then dispelled.
I could be wrong, if someone actually finds something to contradict this let me know, otherwise that is how Bleerie's spiritual weapon is going to work.
So it attacks normal AC, but spell resistance on the first attack on a creature can dispel it.

Yup, it would be quite a bit stronger the other way - autohit against all targets which have no SR? Considering it can full attack, it could probably be worth one spell level higher.
Thanks to Archmage for clarifying that swiftly.

Reading the entry, it looks like if something has SR, you check against it the first time you hit the creature, and if it misses it's dispelled, but if you beat the SR you don't have to check SR against it again. Otherwise it uses the caster's BAB+wis mod on attack rolls. The spell's wording is a little wonky in saying it "strikes as a spell" instead of saying "it's a force effect" for DR purposes. Just my take on it.

Ask away at him if you please. I'd rather have long posts than conversations that last a few days or a week in RL. As I suspect most people would as well.
so... If Gale used the monocle on an item under detect magic, what happens? It never says that the detect magic has to succeed, just that it is cast. Besides, Gale should be able to take 20 on the nondetection check, so long as there are no time requirements :)

mostly detecting magic for two reasons:
someone radiating transmutation
or someone radiating illusion
the latter especially is troubling.

well, at this level, perhaps someone really enjoys combining invisibility and silent image...

/wouldn't be scanning an invisible person for shapechanging
and an illusion like silent image would be a good thing to know someone is casting yes.

er... That knowledge check directly contradicts observed events. Shouldn't a critical failure be a bit more... believable?
contradictions: Ants were incapable of flying, they mostly ignored Gale.
I guess that Gale would believe her memories are false, as the check contradicts known facts.
