The four of you found yourself in thrown deep into the earth and yet unharmed. Before you, a hovering beacon of light. It's voice filled the tunnel and your minds, as if it spoke not only through itself but through your minds as well.
"Young ones, you must prepare yourselves. A very powerful alien is coming to destroy your planet and he must be stopped at all costs. I have selected each of you, as you four possess the ability to become some of the most mighty heroes this world has ever seen. This alien, known only as Zim shall arrive in three years time, young ones. Until then, each of you must train your mind and body to be powerful enough to vanquish this evil foe. Zim has sent some of his minons, both powerful and weak ahead of him to scout the planet, you must seek them out and defeat them in MORTAL KOMBAT. Each victory you manage against one of these minions will help to unlock a portion of your soul's mighty potential. Now go forth my young warriors and defend your humble planet from harm.
As the avatar finishes speaking, a crisp white light flashes over the tunnel and suddenly the group of you are standing in the center of town once more.
Now back in your village, it seems an attack has occurred. Each of you know that orcs inhabit the forest, a short journey east, however it seems that they have decided to attack and loot. The four of you stand before six of them, who were in the middle of looting the bodies of your dead friends and family.
With a cool steely glare in his eye, Victory draws his bastard sword. Calmly with no emotion in his voice he says'Drop their possessions or I shall see that you will not live for another day.'

You can't recall much about the orcs aside from they live in the forest. After all, you've never really seen or spoken to them. However you do remember that majority of them are quite trained in combat.
Victory and Thordore wait and see what happens while Cody charges into the fray head first. His attack goes wide however and leaves him open to counter attacks as he stands waiting.

Front Row
Left: An orc in heavy armor with a shield and large sword
Center: An orc in light armor and holding a spiked chain.
Right: An orc in no armor with large beast like claws on his arms.
Back Row
Left: A short and non armed orc with no visible weapon.
Center: The leader of the orcs in light armor and with no visible weapon.
Right: Another unarmed and unarmored orc, he is however unnaturally tall and gaunt.
As a swift action, Victory will issue a Knight's challenge which affects All enemies in 100 ft. (save DC 14, will negates) compelling them to attack Victory instead and he'll also manifest Force screen (+4 shield bonus) which comes with a short sucking sound.

Victory's challenge goes answered by only about half of the orcs, the others keep the their minds on the brash young Cody.
The orc with claws first leaps at Victory opening himself to attack by Cody for a brief second, before he lands and attempts to rend Victory in half. The orc in heavy armor meanwhile shrugs off the challenge and attacks Cody, as does the spiked chain user. The leader withdraws a whip-dagger from his pouch and snaps it at Victory. The tall orc does nothing but look bored. Lastly the orc with no weapon, but with armor, sends a blast of energy at Thordore.

Thordore Takes the blow and screeches in pain. He enters into a rage and charges (if not possible just moves) toward the orc attacking victory and attacks

Clearly Victory's armor is more than adequate for this battle and so he shifts into punishing stance. He gives the orc with The claws a quick nod of acknowledgement before making a wild swing at him.

Victory gets a +1 bonus to attack and damage vs the clawed orc because he accept the Knight's challenge. Victory takes a -2 penalty to AC ( now 19) and recieves a bonus 1d6 of damage (1d20+8)[10] [roll]1d10+1d6+8[/roll]

"Fine'll we'll leave" says Thordore ending his rage. sheathing his greataxe and taking his move action to move towards cody. "I'll just pick up my ally's body first"

Victory nods, sheathing his sword.There is little sense in throwing our lives away now when good deeds could be done elsewhere. Clearly we are outmatched.We'll go but don't be surprised if you see us again' he goes to help Thordore and bows his head '...My god would demand of me a rematch'

Two of you leave, with your third on your back. As you attempt to leave the village proper, a white light floods the area around you and Cody's wounds close as life is breathed into his young body once more.
The same voice you heard before, below the ground speaks again.
"Your friend is saved from harm, but this is the only time I may do that. Go forward, and better yourselves. "
Victory smiles with suprise as he watches Cody revive.'Ha, Fortune smiles upon you this day, not many get second chances. How do you feel right now? Do you need time to recover?'

'Sorry?' what for? I was coming terms with the fact that me and Thordore were going to have to bury you and it's not like we knew we had that second chance. Victory says as he shrugs. he turns to Thordore.
Now about the Avatar helping us not so directly, I'm not sure. Perhaps he knows that ultimately this Zim is ultimately too strong for him and he needs us to quickly ascend to power to ward off this great evil or maybe... I've heard stories about huge battles between the various Angels and demons or devils fighting over who dominates the multi-verse. Maybe he's holding off another threat that takes most of his efforts to combat
He shakes his head. 'Regardless, his motives are benign even if they are incomprehensible, So where do we go from here?
