Nycca yelps, covering her eyes.

Karyana steadies her lover, though she seems rather startled too.

"Hey, Callie... Who's your friend?"

Tirya waves to her mothers, smiling a little shyly, which quite likely reveals her fangs.

[Forest]
Your daughter from the future!
She points to Karyana's belly and giggles; Tsiln trots up to study Tirya, noting her horns and teeth and even sniffing her hair.
You certainly smell like one of mine...

Tirya giggles, and nods, going to hug her.

"That's 'cause I am. Tirya cas Karyana vasael Timoliir kynet Loarna."

[Beans]

Tsiln hugs back excitedly.
That nametangle is too elaborate for anyone to have faked---she's ours!
She ushers her over to Karyana, chittering in a way Tirya will be very familiar with and probably fluent in.

Tirya is quite happy to go over to her mother, chittering back delightedly.

Tsiln brings her over; Callie watches, giggling.

Karyana happily hugs her daughter, who snuggles into the embrace, smiling.

"So... Is Tirya the one I'm carrying? Or does she come later?"

Callie nods at the first one, sitting next to them and joining Tsiln in rubbing Karyana's baby bump.
Tsiln grins.
When do we get grandchildren?

Callie gives a little frown at that!

Tirya frowns slightly as well.

"Kessia and I don't have kids yet, and we're the only ones who are really of age to be doing so, so I don't know..."

Oh, I thought you and C... wait, Kessia?
How many kids do we have? And all they are me and Karyana?

[C'nor]

((Quick question - Does whatever weird daemon thing Tsiln did only produce one child, or is there the chance of more than one at a time?))

((Only one at a time, most likely, but there's no reason she couldn't conceive with Karyana again and/or conceive children with Zwei.))

And then the puppy flashes! Apparently very brightly indeed, too, which causes Talina to look around confusedly, blinking.

The little gnome squeaks as well, averting her eyes from the light.

It's as if the rainbow light the puppy was composed of was a mere shell, which has fractured into a thousand pieces, each one orbiting the body of the puppy, which is now pitch black with red eyes. The black puppy grows, turning into a large, hellish beast. "THE CHILD!" it hisses, its voice like a thousand moaning souls. Suddenly, the light that was the rainbow puppy reassembles itself, and grows into the riding dog shape that carried Kallista around before. The black dog yelps, then begins to growl. The two dogs face off, hackles raised.

Understandably, Nycca tries to grab Kallista and Talina nd get the hell out of there.

Kallista will squeak and instinctively grab onto Nycca, strangely mesmerized by the dogs.

As getting the hell out of there seems to be the best plan, Talina is quite cooperative with Nycca's attempt.

Tirya nods, going to slip an arm around Callie.

"Yeah, Callie and I are just friends... Good friends, but we're not together.

And Kessia is my half-sister through you, but you and Vampire Mom also have Aelin, and another one was on the way."

Nycca will be running for the shotgun, most definitely.

Half-sister? Does that mean she's mine and Zwei's? She's, er, been rather interested in that idea...

((They have a shotgun? Not that this is bad if they do, I just want to make sure that's not just an idiom.))

Tirya nods again, smiling.

"Yep! Which ended up as all of the confusing when it came to her family name, since Swordy Mom had taken Vampire Mom's last name, but that works a bit differently than in most cultures for hers, and you already had me with her..."

Tsiln blinks.
... Last names hurt my head now.

Tirya frowns slightly, going to hug her.

"What's wrong with them? I can try to explain, if you like..."

Tsiln cracks a smile and giggles. Silly dear.

Tirya blinks a bit, seeming confused.

"...Inherited what?"

We 're always confusing people and offering to help them, dear. She giggles; Callie hugs Tiri from behind, nuzzling her nubs.

Hotel

The two dogs begin to circle each other, growling The black one strikes first, jets of fire coming from its eyes. The white one intercepts them with its paws, and speaks, his voice somehow more beautiful than his shining body: "Enough of this. Let us truly battle, as we always were meant to." He then transforms into a humanoid form, but with claws and fangs.The black one follows suit, and they begin to fight viciously, flashes of light and flame flying between them. Finally, the one made of light gains the upper hand. "It's over," he says and a beam of light streams from his hand. the light encases the dark being, and then gradually shrinks, until the dark one is no more. The light being, seemingly exhausted, falls to the ground, and turns back into puppy form, sleeping.

Tiri thrums happily, chittering in bliss, apparently fairly distracted from the conversation.

Kallista hangs onto Nycca's back, staring at the two man-puppies. She opens her mouth as if to say something, but nothing comes out.

"Well. That was... Unusual. Time to go find the guy who gave you that and ask him why our new pet split into two things, changed shapes, and had a duel with itself in the living room?"

Tsiln smiles at Karyana, enjoying the scene.
