This round was really frustrating, because I always felt one unit away from making a definitive play; and that past E10 was a dead zone (ballista + canto). I'm a little more happy with the final draft with a Callum/Argoth bulkhead because of their canto + high-DEF properties.
Now to see where the chips fall...

Woo, second post!
...And probably 3rd or 4th intro'd after the main troupe!
You know, I poke my friends about playing Forum Emblem, but they seem to think the barrier to entry is too high.
Complaints, in order, as follow:
-You need to learn a new, Percent based system
-Character Creation does not gueruntee your later build
-you need to get a sprite done
-the "DM" player's workload is astronomical
-you get to sit and watch as your character's actions are narrated to you by the group's tacticians, until you're experienced enough to actually contribute.
-Death is permanent
So it doesn't really appeal to the wider community, who are used to D20, and more individual-driven play.
Makes me wonder if maybe we should put up a guide.

Being a GM, any GM, is a lot of work. As for some of the reservations above. I'd agree, but I am a role-player more than a tactician so I don't care that much. I do appreciate it if my character happens to turn out awesome.

pretty sure forum rules forbid me from disclosing which Rom's I have and have not played.
I liked Path Of Radiance/Radiant Dawn, Titania and Brom were my juggernaughts, despite Titania being a Jeigan.
I remember there's this one map in Radiant Dawn, where you're defending a castle. Enemies spawn from three points- a southern stairwell, a courtyard, and an alleyway. I walked Brom down the stairwell while Harr played gank-the-mage, and Titania took the other two by herself, holding at this one choke.
Was one silly fight, but sometimes you just get good rolls like that.
-you get to sit and watch as your character's actions are narrated to you by the group's tacticians, until you're experienced enough to actually contribute.
And by the time people expect you to contribute, you don't feel like it any more.
Then you usually end up just doing it again in another game.

You know, if this luck streak keeps up 4 more levels, Roland's going to be immune to criticals from anyone without a "Slayer" or "Killer" weapon.
Not that it matters, he dies just fine due to low spd/def. But it's fun just the same.
Edit: Also, dang but Callum's gotta be trollfaceing the enemy right there.
Well, unless Paris or Roland crits soldier 6, then Adele is going to attack soldier 6 (his heath is at 4 after the first two). Also Callum and Durnock are both on D7, so have Durnock go to D6. I wonder how fast this would go if the soldiers would just attack Argoth, considering he only takes 1 damage or 0 damage from pretty much everything around him. Other than that, looks good.
Roland rescues Lloyd or Falcon and joins the south flank??
Unfortunately, Soldiers 6-8 have us stalled by their inability to commit suicide like mindless FE mooks. So in the meantime we have to chip away at their foundations and wait for our allies to sweep in from the south. This particularly puts Hugo on the skids, because he is about to either die to a Lance Cavalier or EAT UP ADELE'S EZ EXP
Edit: Adele runs another 1.5% fatality risk on account of her own critical rate this time... still, acceptable...

Why Wotan to C-J15? Putting him at C-J10 will allow him to enjoy the meat shield provided by Galer's Lance Cavalier #6 too, and if we put Imeena all the way to C-K10, they get support points too.
Also, if you Rescue Oren, that means we have no axe to deal with all the lances next Turn.
If you wanted Roland going south, you shouldn't have adjusted his Canto North :p
As it stands, I'm thinking...
Callum to D-7, eat a Vulnerary.
We need to make a hole. Fighter 8, Merc 18, or Fighter 6. Pick one, it has to die. Two or more is better.
Fighter 6 is the optimal choice, he's already hurt.
Imeena to I-13, start working on Soldier 2.
Wotan noms a Vulnerary. There's enough room that we should punch through south flank on the Ally phase.

I started an Excel calculator. Pretty simple stuff, choose two units and their weapons, and it displays the MT, HIT and CRIT values. The idea is to compile a suite of tools to ease the DMs' and strategists' workload. If there's interest in this sort of thing, please say so. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1262287/FE/BattleCalc.xlsx
Adjusting Roland & Durnock's moves are my two biggest regrets over the last round.
So now it's Adele's turn at the breach... or I could whip up a plan with Roland/Paris canto-attacking and Argoth retreating 1-tile... but then I have once and for all forsaken Adele's EXP Swordsman 14/15 to the insatiable Hugo-bot.
And that's without a tactician score
If the ballista was our party's stumbling block to date, this chokepoint is my meatgrinder mishap.
The biggest change-up I made was taking Adele out of the equation She was getting in the way and I didn't want to admit it. I was content to let her clog the trench; looking for a clean shot to level 2, but that's costing moves and time.
I'll drum up an IC post to portray my disappointment.

Frankly, I still don't understand why we're coddling Linia, when she has the largest combat power of the whole group currently stuck at the choke. I'd really rather we put her down now, and let her rip through the enemies for us.

That's pretty keen. With the prior links to spritesheets, and the downloads for that mapmaking program, we could compile quite a toolbox.
I'm trying to get up the gumption to go make a Fire Emblem guide like the various DnD guides on the forum, to store it all for easy access.
