speaking of small details,
Post 408 IC Sairyu:
Roland fires on Archer #4
Roland deals 13 damage – Archer #4 dies! Roland gains 30EXP – Roland reaches level 6! +1HP, +1STR, +1SKL, +1LCK!
I'm trying. I don't like using Paris as a taxi and a rescue buoy, either.
Hell, I'm going to make it a point to keep her away from Argoth from now on. That way I can't use her as a taxi for the walking tin can even if I want to, which hopefully will translate into Paris doing more of the actual fighting.

In fact we should be doing that anyway, since Argoth is gone, and thus they don't need to stick together for supports.
You don't. You use a program like paint or paint.net or photoshop or gimp to edit images. However, if you use paint, you can use IrfanView to save a transparent version of the image. Other more sophisticated programs don't need this step as they support transparent layers.
That's because JPG is bad for spritework. Does all sorts of stuff to the colors, while PNG and GIF keeps the colors as-is.
Also, JPG can't have transparent backgrounds.
That's mine. I changed the shape of the hair a tad so it would fit better, but I'm still not too good with expressions yet, so she's still got the derpy smile and not a "what just landed on my head?" look.
Overall, there's some kind of disparity between the resolution of Falcon's hat vs. the resolution of Madeline's sprite.

I always assumed that was Kasanip's spriting style. She also played in 4is111/Niek's game and I remember her sprite looking different.
I think it's because of how she blends colors. Usual FE sprite hair has three or four colors in distinct zones, while she has a sort of 5-color cross-hatched scheme going on in some places (or maybe it was a problem with the download?). It's interesting, and the result looks good, but if everyone's gonna be swapping accessories like it's a slumber party, I can see it going awry.

There's no cross-hatching (dithering) going on in Madeline's sprite. The difference between her sprite and Falcon's hat is in the outlines and contrast. Madeline uses parts mostly from FE6 characters (Sophia) while Falcon is a recolour of FE8's Joshua. FE8 sprites have more contrast and darker outlines than the previous GBA games. FE7 uses the same outline colour as FE6 I believe, but the colour usage and contrast is generally better in FE7, the sprite artist's improvement in that regard is quite obvious upon closer inspection.
Colour issues aside, because the hat is not meant for characters not named Joshua, it's not going to fit the head of any other character perfectly without some serious modification. So I think these attempts look fine.
Started working on this before the previous post, but since Tyra is cobbled together from FE6 Characters as well, this goes well with it anyway.
So I did a thing. Note that this is just an analysis of Kasanip's style, not necessarily a criticism.

Overall, if we assume my sprite is your average Fire Emblem sprite, there's some distinct differences in how things are colored. Pretty much all of Tyra's coloring is the same as another color within the palate, except with the lightness value changed, while in many places, such as the eyes, Madeline has changes in hue and saturation. Tyra has a more blended look to her, I guess, which is why there really isn't any problem with her wearing Falcon's hat. Besides the fact that it clashes with her gown.
Luckily, such things can be fixed with a touch of magic!

But Madeline is much closer to an average Fire Emblem sprite than Tyra. Tyra has a very low amount of contrast, as you said most of her clothes have the same hue and saturation. And you've also changed the outline colour to be a darker version of the inner colours, further reducing the contrast. This should actually make the hat stand out more on Tyra than on Madeline.
The real issues here are colour contrast between the hat and the character (Tyra's magenta is a better match for Falcon's red than Madeline's lilac) and the position of the head (Tyra and Falcon are neutral/slightly leaning back, Madeline is leaning forward).
Naw, Hugo's playing it safe. If I had him under Ally-AI syndrome he'd have been attacking every round and would be dead/KO'd. He's in a bad position now just because I rolled a crit (almost) right off the bat and killed the far less-threatening enemy swordsman.
I'm sorry for confusion. It seems a strange discussion and many people's kindness was used by accident. Thank you everyone who made such a gift for me with the hat and sprite of Madeline.
My post was meant to say "It seems Ascaloth is desiring to see a picture of Madeline with Falcon's hat."
About [Spriting], I don't know technical vocabulary to talk about such a thing. Probably it can be said the sprites of course cannot be used in video game. I don't really know about sprites, so it is better to ask expert like Water_and_Wind.
