Well, I'm a horrible, horrible, player. I'd excuse myself for missing my self imposed deadline, again, but I'm sure you all are rather tired of this. As such, rather than apologizing for holding everyone back; I simply decided to stop holding you fine folks back and actually do something productive. Simply put, I have posted.
My character background will not be intrinsically important immediately; so I need not ruin everyone's fun by all but demanding you continue to wait for me to finish wrestling with my personal life, health, academic career, and tech problems in order to finish updating my character only for the forum to swallow said update for the upteenth time in a row.
I apologize for all the grief and frustration I have caused you all up to this point, and hope to make amends for it.
Duke God: I WILL finish passing my character notes unto my digital sheet even if it kills me. Suffice to say, Prince is by all intents done; I need only present him to you, and will do so as swiftly as possible. You have been a very patient and forgiving GM, for which I am deeply thankful. I intend to prove that your effort have not been in vain. I'd give you a deadline for myself, but such a path has proven only to jynx my efforts thus far. As such I can only hope to say in good faith that I will finish soon, and hope my words do not return to speak ill of me as they have done before.
And what a post it was Regulus! A small question for duke, how are we handling stunting and the like for bonus dice and mote regeneration? since I cant gain motes in the underworld aside from my hearth stone stunting will be my life line :D thanks in advance!

memoral moments in my rp career as a Slayer in exalted.
1) Got thrown towards a tidal wave by a solar, a lunar, and a wind elemental to save a village.
2)Has managed to avoid almost every conflict the Gm has placed through negotiations and some amazing charisma rolls
3) managed to beat the demon of games in a game of monopoly (best rolls I've ever gotten)
4) Managed to speak to a fire behemoth via interpretive dance.
Heh. Very first mission in-game, and it's to destroy Gem. Lovely. Though without a decent Shadowland anywhere within easy striking distance, I'm not entirely sure how much use this small army is going to be. Hmm.
Edit: And on that note, how large is the strike force?

So, is my posting required to move us onwards, or is it someone else's turn? I am not sure what there is left to be said about the torn up corpse anymore... we might as well get moving.
Well, I'm waiting for some sort of feedback on the question about Gem's defenses. And vaguely wondering how the Lion expects me to destroy a city with a grand total of sixteen individuals. Especially given that fifteen of those are apparently ghosts and thus cannot survive in the light of the sun... and Gem is in the desert.

You're not actually supposed to simply go and destroy Gem, I'm trying to get you together with another group for now XD (that said, the whole before thing happened conveniently sometime ago so you can be there, close to Sijan along with the the Dancer and Chandor). That said, destroying Gem is a bit easier than you might think, though I won't be giving details yet
Visage, I want the decision, are you people going back to the Lover or running away right there?
And in a way, it's everyone's turn. Well mostly, I can move the Scholar's story but Myl's and Volt's is gonna require their "decision"

Heh. I guessed that I was intended to meet up with the others, rather than head straight for Gem itself. Even so, Gift doesn't know that, so she's kinda wanting some sort of explanation from the Lion.

In related news, I'll hopefully make use of the Leige background to get my hands on some artifacts and hearthstones. Specifically, some Hearthstone Bracers (Artifact 2) and an Ice Gem (a 4-dot Hearthstone from Oedael's codex, thus requiring Manse 4). Since the Lion's sending me out on a mission like this for a protracted period, I don't think something like this is too unreasonable a request.
(And if Gift is going to the desert, she wants a hearthstone that can keep her cool, damn it...)

Well, Visage and Prince have apparently decided to simply get hell out of dodge and leave Lover's shadowland to get to next closest one... Of course, shenaningans may ensue in order to deliver us to Lion's lands.
And that's Gift ready to set out with her new forces, unless something interesting happens. We can probably accelerate that scene until a notable encounter takes place. Purely as a speculative possibility, say... coming across a pair of fellow Deathknights apparently being carried on some kind of unholy pegasus thing

Sorry for the delay - had a metric crapton of IRL issues - being out from home every so often, internet downtime and generally stuff taking up time again.
Before I forget, Visage's, Prince's, Shattered Moon's and Gift's plotlines happened conveniently some time ago so they can arrive just in time for everyone else's =D
That'll make it into two groups

So, Gift can presently be assumed to be in Sijan, then? I could post up something about seeking out other particular individuals or PCs if that's the case - I believe Abyssals have a sensitivity to the taint of the underworld which allows them to recognize each-other on sight.

Actually, I might be getting confused here. Looking at a map of creation, Sijan and the Black Chase are absolutely nowhere near to Gem, or the Lion's fortress. Seriously, they're separated by thousands of miles at the least.
So, I'm going to post on the assumption that I'm meeting with the escapees from the Lover, rather than Syrencia and Chandor in Sijan. Then we can define which city it is we're actually outside of, in the underworld though it was. As to why Gift has met them... Whispers. She was guided there by the dreams of the Neverborn. That works.

Actually no. The Black Chase is simply the easiest way into Creation for you right now as the only shadowland without owner. Everywhere else you'd meet opposition from the other Deathlords. It is quite the long trip yeah, which is why there's no need to rush (also some other stuff, not important right now)
Edit: Durami, around 3000 miles. It took quite a while. So did Gift's.
Well, the Labyrinth can have shortened those distances a bit. But the Labyrinth is complicated so if anyone took it started going the path for a Whispers rating
