Oh, I'm willing to bet that at least Ben can put two and two together. Honestly, he may have been out of the game for two years or so, but he's probably picked up more of the GM's plot than Jim (maybe) or Pete (certainly) have.

Actually, I expect Ben to take over playing Vader...or Leia...before long.
Ben playing Leia kind of makes sense but I think Annie would have quite a few boring stretches than... On the other hand, maybe if Annie seriously plays Vader long term and s/he is later responsible for pretty much killing Jim/Han, it would make sense if they get in a fight over it so he's not around for a while to replace Han. For the first bit of Return, anyway...
Though... if Leia's player knows she is Luke's sister, would s/he still make out with him?
So Luke makes out with his father? NOOOOOOOOOO wonder he tries to kill himself.

Heh.
The "Ben-will-play-Vader" theory could account for the new character he'll take up after the inevitable death of Obi-Wan, Last of the Original Characters.

Vader already killed Jim/Antilles, and it's pretty clear Annie was calling the shots. Of course, she may have none that he really wanted to do some re-rolling.

Do I need to remind you, he was introduced way later then Jar Jar Binks (about when they were leaving Naboo)?
True, but it WAS Petes original character. Unlike padme being jims second character, or annie switching from anakins mom to anakin. Or sally bouncing all over the freaking place.

The speech patterns leads me to believe his father was... Count Dooku?
Does that even make sense?
That's what I was thinking, too. They have similar accents, after all, and the Count mentioned a son of his back on Geonosis...although that could have been Anakin (we'll probably never know, as the big reveal was literally cut short).

"A frontal assault is the last thing they'll expect." Now I know why Jim will later be running down the hallways of the Peace Moon, while screaming at the top of his lungs and carrying a Stormtrooper blaster.
Hey, distraction through feigned insanity sort of worked for Hamlet. Why not for Greedo Han?

I only recalled previous scenes on the Peace Moon, and it turned out that Annie was actually scripting Vader behind the scenes.
Vader's effectively a PC now that Annie openly plays him, however (hence his white speech bubble). Thus, Imperial scenes can now be incorporated into the comic.
I wonder how having two player characters will work out for her.
Huh, I somehow missed out on Thursday's comic...
You know, it always bugs me... I guess with soldiers or monsters it's one thing but often just... helpless people will try to attack well-armed PCs because ??? Because they somehow annoyed them. Well, not too often. Yet still NPCs seem to jump into suicidal battles much more often than they should be common sense.
Oh, and I'll admit this time Jim's plan isn't too bad. Yeah, he's lucky Lucas didn't feel like showing the faces of all his Troopers to make them less relateable but obstructing the faces of all your soldiers so you can't even recognize anyone seems like a terrible idea for a military...
