Hey Plans, can you use Natural Edge on my Petilil egg if you're not using it on one of your own? Unless the egg already has it applied already.

nat edge triggers when an egg is hatching. I have to be possessing the egg when it hatches for me to apply that.

I of course won't mind doing so when it hatches. That's why I'm a breeder.

It can't be applied until an egg hatches...

Well, Roamer applied it to my Petilil anyway. I do hope that she has a good nature, maybe with the Nature Blinders turning her to Modest or something.

... well, I guess if the GM is willing to cheat for you, enjoy.

according to the rules, natural edge can't be applied until the egg hatches.

GM in another game did that too, only it applied to all player eggs, though mine was a lapras rather than a petilil.

I've no personal problems with this. My only worry is that it may prolong battles longer than necessary.

You know, I'd go to the Houndour room as well, but having Deino and Zorua makes me feel that Arianna's already got a formidable force of dark types already. And I don't plan on going for Type Ace, or anything of the like, so....

As an aside, browsing these here forums for various game recruitments, I happened to find another Pokemon game. While not amazing in of itself, there was this link for a DA "doll maker" dress-up of sorts, only for Pokemon. It's mildly varied in options and colors, although it really could use a color wheel, or accept hex numbers for colors instead of buttons, but only argument there.

I tried for Arianna, got fairly close to what's in my head.

Amusingly, only after I had chosen the color scheme did I find out that they were complementary to Kirlia, both shiny and normal; completely unintentional.

Figure it was something to do to entertain myself while waiting, any maybe help those mental pictures?

I've always had bad luck making my people in the doll maker, but it seems to do a better job of female then male so I'll give it a go.

Roamer, i needed to roll a 17-20 to paralyze the poochyena, i didn't paralyze it. Just dealt damage

That's a high level pooch... it should be a mightyena already

Yeah, 12~15 levels ago it should've evolved. On the plus side, short of stats, a possible change in ability, and different capabilities, you aren't missing any moves that Mightyena might've learned from 15 to 30.
In fact, looking at the pdf, there's an actual move advantage if you keep it as a Poochyena until at least 53 for Sucker Punch and Crunch--the former of which Mightyena does not get until MUCH later, and the latter, not at all--and in fact, the only move that Poochyena doesn't get that Mightena does is at level 57, Thief, well and beyond the last move level for Poochyena. </Nerd>

I'm more questioning why he bothered starting us off with lvl 13 'mons if our FIRST fight nets us lvl 30's.

Not to mention, shouldn't these fights be harder? You know, because the opposing 'mons are beefier. If not in HP, then in defenses, or offense.
