No, he is Human with the Mutant sub-type. There are three sub-types presented to player characters: Clone, Copy, and Mutant, all of which are presented in Chapter 10: JENOVA and the Cetra.

Half-Aliens are those born from the Jenova Project. Their dna comprises of human and Jenova cells. The only known examples of these creatures are Sephiroth, Angeal Hewley, and Genesis Rhapsodos.

Why does it say in 'Fast shooter'; If you successfully hit a target with your unarmed strike, you can immediately follow up with another attack against a different opponent.?
Shouldn't it be saying 'ranged attack' rather than unarmed strike?

That's cool. Trace's character is something along the lines of a wealthy aristrocrat who's on the run from Shinra after they discover she's a Cetra. Maybe you could be her hired bodyguard or somerhing. Lets see what Trace thinks.

Ooh, how romantic. Depends on whether or not your character is in the mood for a change of heart or not, which would depend on the circumstances of their meeting. I think at least one person is going SOLDIER though, so if you don't want things to overlap, the SOLDIER could be chasing my character and your character could be her hired help. Of course, if there is no SOLDIER character willing (or appropriate) to fill the roll, then feel free to have your character hired by Shinra to chase mine. Hell, maybe you'll manage to capture her but ultimately be struck by her charms as you travel, having a Shrek-like change of heart. Oh, the possibilities. I'll let Marc coordinate though.
I got caught up with something the last few days (besides pokemon) so I didn't finish my character yet, but with university looming, term starting tomorrow, I'll try and squeeze out a completed character sheet tonight to get it off my mind.

Well my character is just a regular Soldier, not SOLDIER 3rd class.
I might be a potental candidate for becomming one though, but let's leave that for later.

so basicly i get a d8 HD rather than classbased and i choose a special quality from the list in the monster manual?
along with a +2 monster bonus on all attack rolls and skill checks made with the following skills: Acrobatics, Climb, Initiative, Jump, Perception, Persuasion, Spellcasting, Stealth, and Swim?
Is that pretty close?
is there any other effects from being infused with the mako? or is becomming a mutant the effect and that effect alone?

As a mutant subtype, you also have access to the Demonic limit tree as well
Because you are mutated through a highly concentrated dose of mako, the Demonic limit tree is basically a way of saying you are able to transform into monstrous beings because of said mutation.

oh yes, will most likely go onto that one later :3
so my concept has changed a little.
He'll start out as A human (mutant) Soldier working for Shinra, sent on an assignment to bring back a certain person alive.
They've promised to return him to human if i does so (not that it's possible, but he doesn't know that).
So he's basicly working for Shinra for selfish reasons, but being a labrat of theirs to begin with doesn't really sooth his relation with them
