The sorcerer was obviously desperate, and Setesh was surprised there hadn't been any warp phenomena yet. The warp entities just now he paid no attention to. It was a problem that the Night Lord seemed to be out of it. So unreliable. he thought.
Setesh was almost out himself now though. Those force fields made it all so much difficult, as he had none himself. Tzeentch must have been displeased with him, for it to turn out like this. Was it that he just ran into combat and hadn't fought pleasingly to the Lord of Lies? A change of flow was needed. Misdirection was needed. He was to make sure the sorcerer would not be able to avoid his blows, as he swung Vra'tzaen at him and followed up with a blow on the other Astartes flanking him as well.

The stealthy Astartes flows easily and Setesh's blow doesn't even come close. The sorcerer fails to block a single swing, but his field absorbs all three blows without incident.

Growling into his Vox system, Malek searches his immediate surroundings for an advantage over the Alpha Legionaires. His eyes are drawn to a bolt pistol on the body of one of the fallen Astartes. Snatching it up he draws his own pistol and blazes a volley with it.

Blasted plague-forged forcefields That field was giving Setesh trouble. But atleast he had gotten through the sorcerer's guard, which meant he might succeed again. But the other Astartes was a problem. He continued his now more irregular swings, using his warp-speed to cause greater confusion over where his blows will land.

The sorcerer screams in horror as his body and soul are pierced by Setesh's fearsome daemon sword. Flames erupt from his armor as he topples to the ground and writhes. After a few moments, he lies still.
The remaining Astartes takes one look at Setesh, showing no fear whatsoever. Then he breaks into a sprint, heading away from Malek and Setesh.

Malek begins to laugh like a maniac as the witch's body and soul incinerates before his eyes. He looks down at the two unreliable pistols in his hands. He drops the Bolt pistols, snatches his boltgun and draws a bead on the coward's back sprays another burst at the fallen Hydra.
As soon as the sorcerer dies, the cowardly run away. Setesh mused. Instead of chasing after, the powerful Thousand Sons sorcerer of old reached into the fleeing Astartes' mind and took control of his body, having him stop mid-sprint, frozen in place. Then Setesh whispered commands, and the body obeyed immeditely and started to run back to the sorcerer he had just left, and as he reached Setesh the Astartes promptly threw himself down prone on his stomach.
"Ah, good. You came back. I would not want to run after you." the sorcerer said as he reached down and blatantly took the forcefield the Night Lord was in possession of, as he was not in need of it for the moment. He recognized it as the one he had ripped off of Katria's neck before, so the Night Lord must have taken it from her corpse. Maybe he had killed her himself and taken it and that mysterious blade. Setesh's conspiratory mind kicked in, and he was a little intruiged. He also needed to get his hand on the cursed force field the Alpha Legion sorcerer was in possession of later, as he was sure it must have had some connection to the Filthy One -- it needed to be desecrated in the name of the Lord of Lies.

Malek's manical laughter is now echoing from his vox system as he watches the Witch's display of strength. He draws another bead on the prone Marine and lets loose his hate incarnate. "Wretched coward!" he laughs as the bolter bucks in his hands. "Your father was a mere welp and a fool!"

Just as the Alpha Legionnaire had thrown himself to the ground, one of the bolts from the unknown Astartes had hit and caused some internal damage. It could prove a problem, but it didn't seem to have killed him, atleast. Setesh was a little annoyed over how someone unknown was interfering in his amusing puppetry. He still wanted someone alive to interrogate, and this one was obviously higher ranked and bound to know more than those other two the Night Lord dealt with before. Setesh was curious why the unknown warrior hadn't killed them yet instead of potentially hitting him with a stray bolt.
YOU! Setesh shouted in Malek's mind. Keep the helmetless one infront of you incapacitated or unconscious and finish off the other one, instead of interfering with my prey. If he was not able to keep this one alive, atleast he would have one of the other two as backup.
He bent down over the Astartes and attempted to rip his helmet off, allowing Setesh to better control his actions, as he reached into his mind forcing his body to stay still. Annoyingly, the helmet wouldn't separate from the power armour's links attaching it just using his one hand.

Malek's helm swivels slightly, his gaze now bearing down on the Psyker."Stay out of my head, Witch, or I shall rip out your spine and drink its juices for succor," he states in an unwavering voice. "You are neither my Master nor companion. You are merely an ally of convenience." However what Setesh had said was the best course of action. He turn on the spot and swung his leg back, aiming his kick at the unhelmed marine.

Skyrar paused, ears alert and listening. Autosense amplifying the noises as he could hear shouts and muttering somewhere ahead. Somewhere close - maybe within 20m or so.
His mouth drooled heavily within the tight fitting MkVI helmet. He had stopped by one of the bodies in the previous room and the blood dripped from the lightning claw where he had torn off a tasty morsel that he was now chewing on. The taste of homo astartes stronger, fuller, more filling than mere homo sapien.
Clicking the lightning claw blades lightly together he readied to charge forth and deal death...

Malek's eyes shift left and right. His helmet shifts ever so slightly. How did I miss?! He's only inches from me and I missed! His maniacal laughter begins to return as he ponders about the amount of pain he is about to cause. Once again he rears back and aims his ceramite boot at the prone figures head.

Setesh was losing his patience, and the risk was growing. Even down the astartes was a problem. That force field especially. It was a random factor he was unable to factor into his actions. It was safer just finishing the Alpha off, and interrogate one of the other survivors.
The Astartes able to parry almost all of the sorcerer's swings, and the single one that got through being absorbed by the cursed force field, Setesh needed to be prioritize his safety. He focused and, now almost like he had been able to for many years, manifested the Violet Fire of Transition. The unreality flickered around him, and he was safe from the Alpha's mundane weaponry. Hopefully he was not aware.

Around the corner comes yet another Astartes. This one is decorated heavily with the symbols of the Blood God, and a Lightning Claw crackles in his hand.

The Astartes' blade whirls as he skillfully parries each and every one of Setesh's strokes. Sparks fly through the air as power weapon and daemon sword meet, and Vra'tzaen howls its frustration into Setesh's mind, its daemonic spirit hungering for the very soul of the Legionnaire on the ground before him.

Skyrar pauses as he takes in the scene ahead of him. A sorcerer stabbing and hacking at an alpha marine and another marine jjumping up and down on another alpha marine. Growling to himself he starts running forward pounding along the corridor as fast as his superhuman frame can move him...

The Alpha Legionnaire takes one look at what is before him. The next moment, he grabs a grenade on his belt and throws it down at his feet. Smoke fills the room, and the Astartes seems to vanish.

This Alpha liked to play hide and seek. A smoke grenade to create cover and then slither away. How suiting. Setesh tried to spot him among the smoke, he knew he couldn't have gotten far as he was on the ground just a moment ago. There, he found him crawling away in the smoke. That smoke was effective, but not effective enough.
In the sorcerer's current state he had no way to physically interact with the Alpha, but he could still use his telepathy prowess. He reached into the crawling Astartes' mind and attempted to bend the body once again to his will. He knew what had to be done. He had to force the body to remove and discard the cursed force field which had saved him time and again. "Take and remove your force field which has brought you so much luck and throw it as far as you can past me and towards the way I came from. Leave your sword and pistol where you are now. Then crawl your way back to my feet. "
