It also comes with a pillow fairy who keeps it magically fluffy and watches over you as you sleep. She is a retired Tooth Fairy, however, and she keeps putting money under your pillow. It might be smart to count your teeth.

I wish for a cottage by the sea.

Granted. You are granted a beautiful cottage on the shores of the Baltic sea. It is over two hundred years old and is very beautiful and could not be in a more picturesque location. There's no one else for miles.
However, the roof leaks slightly when there's heavy rain.


I wish that some kind individual would go and patch the leak in the roof of MonkeyBusiness's new cottage.

Granted, a helpful handyman comes and fixes the leak. However, the handyman is a ghost who now haunts her cottage.

Granted! You get a day at the beach. The weather is perfect, and the water is warm. You see dolphins swimming out in the waves, gather shells, and splash with your pals in the water. The only drawback is you get so much sand in your swimsuit, your butt is somewhat abraded. But that's a small price to pay for a fun day.

I wish I could have a fun day at the beach...

Granted. Unfortunately, the other team was in a terrible accident involving a semi-trailer. No one died, but they all needed hospitalisation. Thus, the Pittsburgh Steelers won by default.



I wish I had a nice place out in the country in the middle of nowhere such that I could only be reached by a gravel road.

Granted. And it is particularly beautiful in the autumn: crisp mornings leave a blanket of mist across the meadow. The goldenrod and wild asters and tall grasses are beaded with dew, and. The spiderwebs turn silver. And then the sunrises and everything turns brillint gold for just a moment.

During the day you can walk across the meadow, down the hill, to the lake and swim there. It's quiet here now that the summer is over. Out here the leaves are already starting to turn - lots of maples and hickories, so lots of red and oranges and bright yellows - and it's all reflected in the lake.

In the evening you build the first fire of the season. You sit and listen to it crackle, and enjoy the smell of the smoke (hickory wood), and think with mingled joy and sadness about the many friends you made this summer. So many people visit th country on holiday, and leave when the weather grows cold. You think of one in particular - someone you wish had become more than a friend - and somehow your beautiful home seems even more beautiful for the sense of longing you feel.



I wish I had a week to spend camping in the woods.
