Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
No. Which, since it's been concluded by everyone that I should suggest something...
There's going to be a whole bunch of stuff that's unlocked by high Lore or very high Novan History in a few weeks. These things can kill us, or can prevent us from being killed in other ways, and so on. I think if we start power-training for Lore within the next week or two, we can do it.
We can also go for the same effect by trying to invest heavily in our Novan History skills, also sort of power-leveling, with maybe a little spare.
Oooor...We can not do anything about it, avoid that route, and proceed on Plan Animal.
Basically, it's your call what we do, but it could pass us if I didn't say anything.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Lore is under Faith, which is boosted by Afraid and Pressured. I think we can get Afraid via Attending Service and maybe Visiting Tomb again (the latter may or may not be required, I forgot).

Warning, major spoiler:

If we're going for what I think we are, the Briony route, we have absolutely no chance of survival, since you need high in a lot of skills we have nothing in. We can always go the "talk Briony out of it" choice or the "tattle to the family" choice, but if we actually go on the adventure we're just gonna die. A lot. Basically, surviving that requires very careful and deliberate training from turn 1.

Yeah, I know. XD
But I figure once we die, we can vote to not agree to help and undo all the training we're doing now, even. Or we can vote for one of the other options. Death is not the end for this LP...So doing things that only pay off if we don't die isn't an issue. Or, heck, we could decide to make a training schedule all the way back to turn 1 to get us through, even. Sky's the limit.

Haha, fair enough.
Amusingly, if we don't pass the Lore or History check, Briony will die anyway assuming we go to the party, which'll trigger the "Kevan is a vengeful jackass" scene, so passing the check will save Elodie's butt either way ;)

I assume the moment we reach corronation, though, this LP is over, right ?
Okay let's lore away.

Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Chapter 30: Week 23, Mood: Pressured
or
Lore of the Land
Spoiler
Well, you appear to have gone along with my crazy plan. I bet it'll end in resets all-round!
Our current skills. Now, we're gonna fill out that last bit of the "Mystical" corner some!
Lore is, at first, mostly stuff about magic.
See? We live in an anti-magic world because magic screwed things up so bad it basically salted the earth.
(Which means money.)
Thanks for stealing my lines, Elodie.
"I have dabbled in musical styles from many countries, and can entertain your guests and lighten your evenings."
(Immortalise me in words? I wonder if she wrote that filthy poem?)
Eh, maybe...But that could have been anyone.
So this singer can either be our friend or our enemy.
The musician sings a little ditty to demonstrate her skills with the lute.
And we can guess from that failed listen check that she's kind of terrible.
And we've got a little choice. It won't affect our mood either way, so vote away!
Also, vote for weekend activity and how we'll continue our goal! I reccomend for leveling out some 'walk in the gardens,' which will keep us pressured but help our depression. Or attend service, for when you'll probably want us to switch to horses later.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
I think she's a spy...a psychic spy.
Nah, not really. I think we should keep her. If shes a spy our Intrigue should hopefully allow us too uncover the fact, we can then turn her or use her against her employer. If she's not a spy maybe we can make her one.
After that we should Attend Service and double up on Divination.

Accept: the spy you know is better than the spy you don't.

Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Chapter 31, Week 24, Mood: Pressured
Or
Nowhere to Look But Inside, Where We All Respond to Pressure!
Spoiler
And it's unanimous!
I'd like you all to imagine a little 'ding' as we fill out an (already filled) checklist item: Hire a Spy.
However...
"I will do my best for you!"
Elodie never realizes this lady here is a spy without passing more of the checks.
Sorry, hopeful people.
Anyway, since we've not yet walked outside, let's do that. Only two votes, after all.
So the key to divination is waiting for random stuff to happen. How...Depressing.
Look how close we came to slamming into that point cap. Dang.
Also, tentacle monsters and their flood myth. Coolbeans.
So far, he's enjoying himself with your uncle Armand in Mazomba. He says the trees look different, and there are a lot more frogs. He looks forward to visiting the lookout fort at Shepherd's Point.
At this point, you usually get a letter from him...But this is the nicest, since it sounds most like the kid's writing it in peace.
Oh, the dungeons give no effect right now, and Attending Service does -1 Angry. That's all that's different this week.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Attend Service, then either dual meditation if that's the only way to bust the cap, or Meditation+Divination if the cap can be broken only by one class.

I say we get Divination to 25 before we start on Meditation.
