Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
If we're talking about the same thing that isn't going to happen, it isn't going to happen next week. Er, it *would* have happened in Week 32.
And once again, I go back to my boilerplate that every member of the nobility of our country other than our immediate family seems to be evil, or nearly so.

Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
I think it'd work even better if we changed "Immediate Family" to "Inner Circle," since Julianna's pretty non-evil. I'm hoping for a happy ending for her, but we'll see...
Also, the other kids don't seem bad. But all adults who aren't our inner circle? Evil, or otherwise just plain wierd.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
I dunno, there's an awful lot of nobles present at the vote of no confidence if you triggered that earlier in the game, and several of them don't seem all that bad. I mean, a bunch of them still voted for me despite my being incompetent at almost everything.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
These Divination failures keep getting more and more obvious, don't they? I get the impression that Elodie has the uncanny gift of turning any failure into a critical failure.
Also, hunting sounds interesting. What does it get us?

Let's hunt once, and train Divination and Archery

Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Ok, so this next update may take a little longer than normal, I swear I have a good...
Well, an all right...
Well, a tolerable...
Well, a forgivable...
Look, Zero Escape 2: Virtue's Last Reward just arrived at my door yesterday and I need to play it obsessively for a bit.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Yup, it's pretty great. There are ways I find it compares unfavorably with 999, but it's still quite lovely.
Except that dumb Pressure Exchange Chamber (If you haven't heard not to save there yet, and haven't tried saving there...DON'T.) But I got through eventually, and so I give you a chapter!
Chapter 39, Week 31, Mood: Depressed
Or
I'll take that Ice Cream, Commander
Spoiler
I'm...Not sure what to do.
Besides hunting!
Some of you need to vote more; when the two votes I get don't agree, what am I supposed to do, huh?
Anyway, I'll wear our hunt coat. For the heck of it. And split the difference and do dogs and archery.
And now we're basically done with Commander Shepard, Novan Shepherd. We've probably taught him/her to dance.
...
'K. Not an exciting start, but if we let Elodie hold a bow now, she'd probably strangle herself with the string.
Oh, it's worth noting something here:
Had we not hired Lucille, at the end of this week, a box of chocolates would have arrived for us.
Now, we'd be in no danger from these...Because we have Dog-Shep to save us!
We could have also relied on social skills or our knowledge of trade and production to make us think twice about eating strange chocolates...
But that wouldn't have worked so well for us personally.
Having none of those things...We'd eat the chocolates, and have a last-ditch chance to know how to neutralize or puke up the poison before it was too late.
But we would fail that, too. And we would die.
And that's the story of how our dog could have saved our life, but didn't need to, because we gave our aunt what she wants.
We now return you to your regularly-scheduled LP.
Hmmm....Well, Commander Shepard seems to cheer people on the thread up...And the title-making-character seems to like ice cream...
Dog-Shep, fetch us ice cream!
Or that. I guess.
"What a good idea!"
Eee-yup.
"What will you offer as prizes to the winners?"
I should add that this won't affect our mood, which looks like this:
Hunting currently has no effect. If we want to get to angry, we'd need to do sports.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Employment. Let's find the most skilled people in Nova and get them on our payroll. Then we take a walk in the gardens and train Foreign Intelligence and Resist Magic.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Employment, Sports, Archery, and the non-sword weapon style.

Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
.. is it just me, or did we get 100 points in Dog skills without actually learning how to teach a dog to do anything *useful*? It's like Elodie got introduced to what dogs are, and then her teacher just told her six different ways to play with them..
(Curiosity question: Can wearing an outfit raise our effective skill in something above 100, and if so are there any checks you know of that require that?)

Spoiler
First time I did the naval battle, I went on deck as a cannon and initially lost but when I put on the Magical Girl suit with my Wield Magic at 100 we suddenly won. There were few other variables but that was the only positive one I can think of, unless there's a hidden check for your whole Magic-stat added to the combat strength. The number of soldiers should be the same and strategy the same or worse.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
This game cruelly lacks a useless 'cat' classes to complement the monocle from the intruigue suit.

Suddenly, knowing what we know about Novan nobility, those princess bride 'but by as you wish he emant I love you' jokes in regerd to elodie father take a creepier turn, don't they ?
Employement
Train Resist magic; and uh no idea on the other class

I can't say this authoritatively, but the answer I saw on a spoiler site said there is one check where it can matter...
Spoiler
the naval battle another player mentioned. I didn't think to try it without the MG outfit, but I was wearing it when I did that.
