Yes, actually. The nice things about these paths is that they offer us ample room for suicide. I reccomend this one, since there's a chibi you want to see and all, though.

You count as a person, and therefore a base for people.

POWAH! UN-LIM-IT-ED POWWWAAAAHHHH!!!!
...I mean, I think we should go for the option that puts our brave troops at less of a risk. It's the honorable thing to do. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I can't remember if this was actually resolved or not, but I remember a discussion on the difficulties of saving screenshots for this game. I just discovered that pushing "s" saves a screenshot for all RenPy games, including this one! I hope that helps!
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
...R-really?
Because I've been using Printscreen, and relying on the low screenshot count to make it tolerable.
*joy*
Also, smuchmuch: are you going with, as a vote, what you suggested here, or would you like me to take action to show you that chibi? (Because I would like the scenario to go to show you that chibi, I'm not gonna lie)
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
Chapter 42, Week 35, Mood: Neutral
or
Danger, Elodie Robinson!
Spoiler
We've decided that an unspecified price is too high a price to pay...Because a decent amount of people would rather go be batman. I approve, since I really do prefer just about everything about the "batman" path.
"So be it."
I bet Julianna thinks we're being a wuss. Well, Julianna, I'm sorry...But this is for your own good. You'll see.
I'll do my best, however, to continue honoring wishes.
BlahdiBlah, Blahdiblah...
We'll probably be back here next time....
Ooh. It's a pity we won't get to see it this route.
I feel the need to add, as we pass the basic competency point, that actually taking screenshots in this is..odd.
Like, it's not odd in a normal sense, but I'm so used to the way I've been jury-rigging these that I feel weird.
Oh, wait! The movie's starting!
Also, another new background we'll only see in this one sequence. Woo!
Ships close in on each other, angling into range.
This strikes me as an adorable image. It's a pity we don't have a military costume to wear.
The Shanjians have half again as many troops as you do. It doesn't look promising.
This is called "You failed a check you didn't know existed, the secret 'troops' check. By always hiring more, never losing any, and using that shooting star check to realize there's going to be a naval invasion and therefore making more ships, you can pass this hidden check and stand a chance of winning a real naval battle.
It's really hard.
Someone who called the solo Elodie 'magic cannon' gets a prize.
Also, we know, game. We chose this way.
The eventual outcome...
Drumroll please!
Bummer.
Also, the screenshots may have a bit of delay that I'm not sure I like. I don't know how they'll turn out. Maybe the Deme of the future can tell me. Deme of the Future Says: Barely noticable, if they're delayed at all. That's just on your end. You're good.
Spiffy!
Oh dear...That isn't good. I mean, it's what everyone who said no was expecting, but...
*worry*
But you're in a frilly magical girl dress in the middle of an upset ocean.
This is a sort of 'well, maybe you can still survive!' option.
It's not so much fun when you're weighed down by clothing, miles from land, and surrounded by enemies.
But you're just one tiny figure lost in a dark sea. You struggle against the waves for as long as you can, but your limbs grow ever more heavy...
That is precious! And tragic. Lookit the little fishies!
I'll save the other death chibis we can get for leading the fleet for later, in case we come back...I'm sadly not able to get all of them for you with enough convenience, but I did at least get one we haven't seen.
Right.
So, I think our basic options are as follows:
#1: We go back and choose to use the magic nuke option, which is silly since a near-majority voted away from it.
#2: We avoid this by staying at home, unlocking what is being called the 'Batman' route. I'll call it that, since the person we confront is kind of a super-villain...With extra Batman overtones, if we're thinking of Batman as in the Tim Burton film with the Joker.
#3: We Go Deeper.
Re: God Save the Queen, Indeed: Let's Play Long Live the Queen!
I'm still voting for the magic nuke.

Magical Ditto.
Uselessly, I know, with this crowd, but voting nonetheless.
BTW, about the mundance naval victory?
Spoiler
In terms of the way it looks, it's the same waste of graphic space. Is this supposed to be a sub battle? Seriously, let's see some ships or something...
Yes, there's a Divination check (or two?) you have to make weeks ago, and your Naval Strategy has to be nearly maxed (I think my own score was a 90?). It's not an easy option.
