A year ago I was diagnosed with cancer, and it's been a rough year with little progress and lessening optimism. Physical symptoms aside I've just noticed I've become less tolerant of other people complaining about their problems. You know, sometimes going "Oh for the love of God, I'd give an arm and a leg to have your problems instead of my own. Shut the **** up already" in the back of my head and then ranting about the various pains and aches and moments of despair I've felt. I'm just trying not to explode like that in here, what with Akowrules mentioning his own problems.
I know it wouldn't be fair of me to start griping like that so I bite my tongue. I just don't want to turn into a sick, bitter man. Well... not before hitting say, seventy or eighty, anyway. And that's still a few decades away.
