You're talking about the Sloth legendary sniper there, and the whole point of that gun is that it trades bullet speed for additional damage--slow bullets is not a general characteristic of Dahl sniper rifles!
Personally, I don't like the Dahl Sloth. My preference has always been the Jakobs Penetrator.

Who in their right mind would sacrifice bullet speed on a sniper rifle, though? Sure, it hits harder. Great. So it does more damage to the wall because my target sees the bullets coming and steps out of the way. Even if slow bullets isn't a characteristic of typical Dahl models, the burst fire is still a problem since it leads to a lot of wasted ammo. So my "****in' Dahl" comment stands. Except now, instead of only the first bullet hitting, none of them hit! We've gone from wasting 80% of my ammo to wasting 100%!
I'm just glad I found another Jakobs.

So, finally started playing BL2. So, I started play with Zer0 (as i believe just about half of the players), and somehow I use sniper rifles, shotguns and rocket launchers a lot (and sometimes repeaters)
though I have to admit I'm way in over my head trying to kill bloodwing at lvl 17 (got her to 33% allready, so looking up), and I must say that I love how they have treated Lilith and Mordecai. they are awesome. And they know it. But still. Awesome.
if you want my steam name pm me (I don't like throwing it out in the open) and maybe I'll be online during the weekends

I'd recommend going back to do some sidequests. I was in my mid-20s when I took on Bloodwing. I also found a rapid fire weapon extremely useful for that fight - she moves too fast to get off more than one or two shots with a SN per pass, shotgun is too ineffective at range, rockets are too slow unless you wait until she's moving in a straight line/sitting still. I'd advise you to go get yourself a good SMG (I used one of Moxxxi's).

Okay, how many people have actually killed You Will Die quests at the end of the game. My friends and I were able to kill Teramorphis, but have not yet been able to get to Hyperious the Invulerable. That Son of a Gun is tough.

Any one have any suggestions on beating him?
My friend and I did it as Zer0s who used kunai for debuffing and tossed baby-makers.
Is there a difference between raid bosses on normal and True Vault Hunter mode? I didn't notice one with Terramorphous.
So just wondering, might be a bit silly since this is the thread for it and all, but has anybody not played this game yet? I have it but i'd kinda like to play it with three other people who don't know all the tips and tricks.
well, after dieing a lot to jack facing him head on (as a sniper based zer0), I found that if you keep your back to the exit you can't be hit by jack or the warrior. I pretty much owned them both from that place without any problems with my sniper rifle at lvl 31. Now to go true vault hunter mode (or I could start going siren, that should be fun right?)
BTW, I miss the old gunslinger skilltree of Mordecai. it was so bloody powerful with the endgame revolvers (maybe that's why they stopped it). it was like 2shots revolver, doubletap, massive damage while critting, kill makes more powerful stacking a lot and healing. with the added skillpoints from the DLC's you could reach the snipercapstone (bypassing shields) and everything was 2-4 bullets done. How the times have gone

It's the *guns* I miss. There are supposed to be more of them in Borderlands 2, but somehow it never feels like there are. It doesn't help that certain gun/manufacturer combos are essentially worthless--Hyperion or Dahl sniper rifles spring to mind--or that the severe penalties for using the "wrong" element in TVH mode encourages use of normal or explosive weapons, which don't have so much of a problem.
Basically, I find myself using Jakobs or Maliwan sniper rifles and Torgue combat rifles, and I hardly ever use anything else, whereas I'd have a different favourite weapon for each class in the original game--loved Masher revolvers with Mordecai, for example, whereas Lilith was always SMGs for me.
The Bee just took a massive nerf. The bonus damage on all amp shields is a per shot and not a per pellet. Also the Bee has a huge recharge delay. Mine was moved to about 5 from like a 2-3 delay.

Ah good, they fixed that bug. Yes, I consider it applying per pellet to be a bug.
Now if only they'd change it to actually fit the theme of its name. You know, the one about how bees have a nasty sting but die after using it? Following that literally would be a bad idea, but I think the Bee's gimmick should really be very high amp damage and drop-shield-to-zero amp drain (possibly with a fast recharge), not 0 amp drain.
So...I just beat the game with my Zer0 on Playthrough 1...and all I can really say is...
Spoiler
That was a kickass boss! And Jack...fell to one Kunai barrage. The Warrior...different story. Took me a while, then again, I was going for the challenge on him. Got it too.

I wonder if Shredifier will be the new optimal weapon for the Bee. It's a Vladof legendary assault rifle that is one of the fastest rate of fires in the game.

I actually find that it works quite well: The name is a reference to Muhammad Ali's catchphrase, "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee", and that is at least somewhat how it plays out in-game as well. As long as you can dodge incoming fire and keep your shields at maximum (float like a butterfly), your shots do massive extra amp damage (sting like a bee). The one objection I do have is that in BL2 the best way to keep your shields up is to make good use of cover, not moving around a lot.

Or else snipe at long range. Actually, probably would have been better if they'd left the Bee as it was and maybe reduced its extra damage output by a goodly amount--it would still have been a nice shield, but most useful at close range with shotguns, thus forcing you to do the whole "float like a butterfly" to keep shields.

Heh I get the idea that they wanted to nerf it into complete uselessness.

I love the idea of the Bee-shield working exceptionally well with shotgun pellets but being lackluster with other weapons! That would have been the perfect change.
