I'm excited to see how this turns out after these zombies are gone.

I also like most of nWoD's default combat mechanics. Grappling and fighting styles can make it pretty ridiculous, though.

Yep. I would have given it to you if you hit, but since you didn't, welp. :(

Well, I'm actively working to reduce their numbers.
Speculation: We've stumbled upon a Hunter trying to off a Mage. How much justification he has remains to be seen.

There is only one Mage House that's using necromancy (not group, House, that's smaller), I guess there are only "standard" shadowed.

And technically, a Mage trying that sort of Necromancy in the middle of a school is at least on the ground due to Paradox... if not dead.

So, yes on the hunter, the Mage I think not.

I third the Hunter; speaking of Hunters, what's their general opinion about the Radiants? Do they consider us as bad as other supnats?

Depend on which hunter we face, but I guess that the Hunters who have heard of us are okay with it...

Given that in the NWoD each die has 70% odds of yielding no successes, that's actually not an unlikely roll. ^^'

If you all could, add your character name in bold at the top of your post. It helps sort you all out.

Ms. Grout has locked herself in her classroom, so she's not around. She's probably fine!

@jamieth, is Shirley going to conceal picking up the journal at all? Neither of the other men have noticed it yet.

Depends! Experienced Hunters who know of you might not target you unless they had valid a reason. There are certain groups, though, who I'd sure would take a bit more interest in you...

Here is a handy chart! The moral of it is: throw more dice.

I'd say she isn't doing anything specifically to conceal her actions, but she also won't point out her finding. Just, pick it and put it into a pocket. If called on that, she won't try to deny it, and clams that it is an evidence she intend to examine - after which the journal, of course, would be returned to rightful owner... if deemed safe, of course.

Iscariote, making people forget isn't what we do... We make them fight for the Light! The Hunters are making them forget: they "sacrifice" themself to fight what the others haven't to know.

Besides, Mrs Grout is locked in a room ><

I was going to post it in the IC thread, but I'll post it here too. Mundane persuasion isn't magic. No matter how charming you are, there are certain things people just can not accept due to either their implausibility or their beliefs. People can change their minds over a period of time in the case of the later, of course. Not that I'm trying to nerf the skill or anything, but, you know. Telling someone their life is a dream or similar kind of falls into that category. Sorry!

In addition to that, remember that secrecy is important. Which is terribly for you guys, since you actively want to make the world a better place, but the more people who know you're swinging supernatural power around the more difficult your lives will be. Which would be fun!

Technically, hypnosis is possible through persuasion, but we need far more time that what you took, Iscariote.

The problem is, technically, in WoD, it is possible... but with over-human rolls. With skills and/or attribute over the standard 5 human dots. That's why were made the text about over human abilities in oWoD. It was only text, no rules, but described how, when capacities are non human, it looked like magic. But we aren't in that particular case here, so let's continue ^^

That's a good question! Let's do Intelligence+Occult. If you have mentor dots add them as a bonus.

Anyone with a basic success will have been told or know that the Cult of Broken Dreams is an organization devoted to furthering the agenda of darkness by spreading sorrow and stealing hope from humanity. They are bad people whose chief goal is to make people give in to despair.

If anyone makes an exceptional success (5+), I'll give more. But those are the basics.

Is it a separate organization from the Cult of Broken Dreams, then?
(OOC question - no success on my roll. For all her intelligence, Erin's never studied the occult until very recently - a gap in her knowledge that she's gonna have to fill up quick.)

I have made a mistake! They are the Cult of Broken Dreams, yes. Pretend I said that all along. I'm dumb. I fixed my posts to reflect this. Thanks for checking that.

I am suffering from the most terrible and harmful of all feelings when dealing with the World of Darkness:

Moral uncertainty.

Well played, Storyteller. Well played.

Moral Uncertainty proves you have one. If you're feeling it, that means the ST shouldn't make you lose morality... it's more complex than that, but knowing that what you do is uncertain is already knowing what you should do... or at least shouldn't do.

That was the meaning of oWoD conscience/conviction: to explain at which point your character was holding the principes of morality, the "I made a mistake here, I must atune for it". The problem was that someone with "morality" 10 and conscience 1 was far more a parangon than someone with conscience 5...
