So what's your sanctum going to be? Any ideas? Abandoned church, office complex, anything? Once you decided and drag your captive there, then figure out how you're going to keep him everyone will go home and we'll end this scene.
Mechanix, Wits+Crafts-3 to make a really bad door out of whatever materials you can find. If you don't get a chance to before my next post I'll roll it. Also Sola will need to make a Manipulation+Persuasion roll to lie about Shina's whereabouts, since she lives with her family.
Manipulation+Socialize wouldn't be a valid roll, since Socialize is more for social encounters such as chatting people up at parties, social events, etc. Not so much for trying to get your single prisoner to tell you important information.
You can reroll with something else, if you like. Presence+Intimidation is a possibility (Tell me if you want to live!) Also remember you can roll twice, since this is an extended action.
Also Shina is referring to him with a Japanese honorific because...why? Does she just do that to everyone in America?
@Inedible:
Since it seems we have jumped to the morning, There's one thing I hadn't have a chance to do - before going asleep, Shirley definitely would at least skim through the journal, assuming, of course, it is written in English. If not, then at least identify language, and if it is in code... well, THAT she would leave for the morning.
Well, she was meant to, honestly speaking; otherwise, I'd probably just bring Laura Giambolly aka Starlight Jester, a Troubadour of Spades, in. (Sun-Tsu's not the only one allowed to have a personal pet magical girl, after all, right? :))

Let's say I don't ask any question and instead Kim focuses on Gerald's words and body expression and the like in order to see if he's telling the truth and/or if there's more to his answers than what he says. Would I get a bonus on a possible Empathy roll in that case?
I ask because if not, I might as well just ask questions too.

Sure, you can roll two Wits+Empathy rolls to get a sense of how well he's telling the truth.
((This would be correct. So you're going to school?))
Yep; Shirley got what she wanted, that is, the Gerald's version of the story, the proof (as far as magical polygraph constitutes a proof) of his role in the Cult being rather minor, and the list of names... potentially.

Okay! We'll see what the next few posts entail and I'll find something for you to do as necessary.
Hello pardon the silence, I've been rather sick as of late and it's been tough getting into character. I'll try to get something out soon assuming my meds don't knock me out for the night.
Well, crappy weekend and illness; aside I'm back now. Pardon for all the silence this past week; I'll do my best to make up for it all.
EDIT:
*Reads Latest update*
Well, damn; guess I'll have to make up for my absence next plot point.
@sun_tzu, can you clarify what handling presentations is?
Also, if we're all done we'll wrap up. You guys can have some time to RP with one another the next day, which I'm assuming you might want to. Then we'll do stuff.
So since our first 'adventure' is wrapping up, two things. First, does anyone have any questions/comments/suggestions? Things you liked or did not? Things that could have been done better?
Second, I usually like to do nominations for extra XP. If there's anyone who you think played their character really well, did something cool, or made the game better in general feel free to mention that person and they'll get a small bonus.

Well, I did like getting a genuine moral dilemma right off the bat.

Generally speaking, I've been enjoying Kim and Shirley's characters...
