yeah that's how i roll. don't worry he should be fine and i can always brew more healing potions if needed so i will leave the rest of the battle in the team's very capable hands
You're already on the road, I just wanted to give some time to see if anyone wanted to react to the parchment Coleson found. If not, I'll advance to the next scene.
Well, to be honest, it isn't much more than expected, lol. But I'm sure it will be brought up later on in conversation, or at least I know Harthar will bring it up later. At the moment he is just focused on getting into town which is slightly more safe than the wilderness, at least while people are injured. He likes to be the guy doing the surprising, not the other way around. :)
EDIT: Woops, didn't notice we were moving, not a problem though, just take my post as that point in the timeline of getting started.
As for reacting to the piece of paper, Harthar hasn't seen it yet either so he won't react to it until then anyways. For now he just thinks the Captain should have sent out scouts ahead of them to avoid getting us ambushed, like Harthar had wanted :P

The Captain would remind Harthar that's a bit difficult without a mounted scout to do so.
I might let Coleson make an attempt at diplomacy before I jump in and try and reason with the fellow. I probably won't use intimidate though, I wouldn't have even put it in as an ability if I didn't have to, but the playtest said I did. So my reasoning is that Intimidate comes from his soldiering days.
Which we still haven't discussed btw... so I don't even know what rank he used to be in which army.

Well, it's up to you. Judging from his behavior to date, I'm guessing non-comm.
Keep in mind, medieval army ranks weren't exactly standardized. The terms captain, lieutenant, ensign, corporal, lance-corporal gradually formed to describe professional military men, but it was still very crude.
BTW If the Diplomacy doesn't work I'm going to break out my ID for Lord Xenophon.
Whoo-boy, I asked for a plan, and I got three separate arguments for why you should be let through. This is going to take a second to parse out how this works out in conversation.
I tried to tack mine on to the end of the diplomacy check, so the guy would be more coerced. Its like "Hey, its the right thing to do to let us through, and if you dont there may be some consequences that you wouldnt have had any advance warning of"

As with the last inn, you can roll checks to ask for specific information.
Also, unless you're going straight to your rooms, please tell me where in the taproom you're sitting - one of the empty round tables? Over by the stewpot? At one of the stools by the bar?
I'll sit next to you at the bar, but I am also going to be looking around at the crowd, looking to see if people are staring at us, for incoming trouble, and the suchlike.

People are keeping themselves to themselves for the most part. There's a few people looking at you because you're new, but nothing major.
I wrote to my contact in the previous town. How do i go about recieving the letter?
What did you write, exactly? If you're getting post forwarded from Yellowgrass to Passfurd, a passing merchant will bring it to town, and usually drop it off at the inn, where travelers tend to stay.
After finishing sending a letter to his contact informing him about Lord's Lucan's current actions, the attacks on bailiffs, and how he was relocating to Passfurd town, the elf was cruising around town with Coleson.
Should i have written letter in standard form or is this enough?
Hay, sorry I haven't posted yet, had a really big few days at work and then I was sick yesterday. When I get home this avo after work I'll do a post to bridge to where we are up to.
