Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I just nabbed myself the Pathfinder core rulebook, and while I know it's not different from D&D 3.5 in any great number of ways, my rule when I acquire a game is to play a campaign somebody else runs first.
So, my request is simple, would somebody please run a Pathfinder game starting at level one that doesn't use too many house rules? I'd like to get a hang of the game as RAW intends it to be played before screwing around with it too much.

Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I'm in much the same situation as you, ordered the core rulebook a couple of days ago (haven't received it yet though ) and would be very interested in playing a "starter" campaign to get familiar with the system, if any DM is interested in running one.
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
6 might be too many but i'd like to get in on that action. It'd be my first p&p game so I would need some guidance but if its too much of a problem, no worries.
I could take the six of you, but you should try to fill every roll: Tank, Healer, Arcane caster, Skillmonk.
If you have any questions just ask. I will answer them As soon as possible. The game won't start until next weekend since I have to do some things this weekend.

Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I suppose I got in to late, but this is exactly what I am looking for. I just got back into gaming because of how awesome pathfinder seems and am trying to get into a PBP game, which I hae never done.
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
20 points is defined as the "high fantasy"-amount in this section of the SRD-pages Zefir linked us to. Dunno about where traits are in the core rulebook (I haven't received it yet ), but there's a bit about those too on the SRD-pages.
If this is the setting we're going for, I think I'd prefer to play a rogue, flavored as a spy/secret agent for either one of the houses in the city or from the elves in the forest nearby. Before I start making a sheet/backstory I'd like to know if the various alternate racial traits, listed under the core races, are part of the ruleset we're using, if so I think an elf with either "Envoy" or "Silent Hunter", and "Urbanite" would fit my concept quite well. Only if it's ok with the DM, of course
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I'm flexible with what I'd play (just waiting on confirmation from you guys that I am playing). The idea of a Dwarven bard with bagpipes gets me thinking, or a wizard or sorcerer.. or a ranger.. hey, i'm just happy to play.
@ Zefir: When you say Advanced Players handbook do you mean the guide with other core classes and alternate class archetypes?
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
First: The page I linked offers you all information of the whole Pathfinder stuff. If there is a table look at the Source columm. CRB (Core RuleBook) and APG (Advanced Players Guide) are the allowed sources.
@Techno: Sadly they aren't part of the Core Rulebook. But the page I linked offers enougth information to get them without the book. Technical they are just hints for your background. They give you some bonus, but nothing to strong. Actually the AP use special Traits mentioned in the Players Guide to help players connect their chars to the Adventure.
In my eyes 20 is the Standard. Allowing the player to have agood stat while not having 2-3 bad stats.
@ereinion & Grūmble: I won't mind Archtypes, but please remember if you just start you should keep things imple. Even Advanced players tend to forget what the choosen Archtype makes.
Information:
The Adventure Path is mainly going around the city of Westcrown. As every AP it is split into 6 Books. Each book includes Locations, encounters and other kind of stuff. The books take place over 3 Level so The first book starts with you beeing 1 and at the end you should be level 3-4. Due to your number you may rise slower, but I will compare this with extra encounter and other ways to gain Exp. Thing should be fine with the Fast tracking EXP meaning you gain level 2 after 1300 Exp.

Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I'm not sure if I'm too late to the game but I'm a fairly experienced PF player, and I've got a couple of core/APH characters (cleric, rogue, fighter) I wouldn't mind dusting off. Is recruitment still open?
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
Currently I think I have TechnoScrabble, LeoMidori, Grūmble and ereinion from the starting crew. I don't know how they think about it since it's for people new to Pathfinder.

Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
I was under the impression that we are to play a pre-made adventure path? Unless you're asking whether we'd prefer it to be mainly hack'n'slash or roleplaying, in which case I'd prefer a mix, maybe with slightly more weight on the RPing.
Anyway, I've started putting together a character, just mechanics yet, and would very much appreciate it if someone more familiar with the system could take a look at it and see if it's done correctly.
I will start putting in some fluff once I've read up a bit more on the game world, but the basic concept will be some kind of spy/special agent for the elves in the nearby forest. Probably one who has stayed in the city for at least a couple of decades.
Re: Pathfinder-Willing to Learn [DM and players needed]
If recruitment is still open then I would like to throw my hat into the ring - not played pathfinder beyond the solo adventure of the beginner box, but i'm savvy enough with the rules to get by for a while. Been scouring the 'net for months looking for games with precisely ZERO luck.
