this is the basics... need a sprite yet. Also, as I haven't built many fire emblem characters before... does this build work? or should I have done it a different way?

Is it an effective build do you think? The only archer I ever played with was nemil... and I remember her as extremely fragile. This build feels like it has a better cushion(the high hp, decent speed...), but I still am not sure to what degree I should worry.

I'm not sure about the ranger movement effect, but I want to say -1 penalty (so forest, desert, pillar cost down to 2, etc).
Points at the end of the maps are compared to determine rankings. All the maps are set up to have pretty similar completion times though, so looking at it that way, it pretty much is going to be last-man standing.
Edit: allied unit kills/deaths don't factor into point standings
Unlike other mounted units, Rangers can cross river tiles (For 5 mov), Desert with 3 (Compared to 4 for other mounted) Forest tiles count as 2 mov, (Compared to 3) and costs 5 mov to enter mountains compared to 6 for other promoted mounted units.

I thought it was desert 3 mov down to 2.

Thing is though, it's pretty useless then. The difference between 4mov/tile and 3mov/tile is 0 given a mov of 8. 8/4 = 2, 8/3 = 2.67 truncated to 2. That's a pretty bad class feature and I feel bad for GrassyGnoll. :"P
serenesforest classifies Ranger as the same 'Horse' move group as certain Monster classes (meaning Rangers have no mov pen for moving through forests, 2 mov in Sand, 3 mov for pillars and can enter a mountain space for 6 mov). I believe this mechanic is what is alluded to by a terrain movement bonus.
Can't blame anyone for missing it, you really have to read between the lines of class-type.

I couldn't think of a better description. Only thing is, you do have to pay 2 mov cost for Forest, compared to 3.
Warren is an eccentric man, avoiding human interaction and sunlight whenever possible. As a result, he is very pale. He also has a strange aversion to silver. He can often be seen seemingly talking to himself. Although he seems older, he appears rather young, and his current skills are what he considers inadequate. He speaks little, unless giving orders, his strangely charismatic nature and veteran-like experience convincing people to follow him. He also dresses regally, as if he were a noble.

The door creaked open, and a man shuffled out awkwardly, as if he had slept for years. He blinked tiredly, the bright light stinging his eyes. He carried himself uneasily down the stone corridor, his cloak brushing past the floor with each step. He paused, as if recollecting a long-forgotten memory, then snapped his fingers. A shadowy figure appeared, seemingly from nowhere, stooping to a low bow.
"My lord!" he half shouted, as if caught off guard. "My lord V..."
"Ssh!" the cloaked man cut him off. "You will refer to me by my primary title for now. Soon we will be entering new company." He paused, passing a hand across the stone surface. "I have forgotten much. ...It is a shame. I must start over from scratch." He looked again at the shadowed figure, beckoning him to stand. "You will accompany me, my friend. I can use your assistance. What say you?"
"Always at your command, my lord." He paused, and uneasily added, "...My lord, Warren."
The strange pair headed towards the huge arched doorway, the cloaked man shuddering before stepping into the sunlight.

I pick Celia Benn and a Bishop that I am about to roll...
And I ban nobody. Cuz I'm extra chill. lolno, I'm banning Helius...
Exceptttttttt, I don't like the feeling of banning a single player's only entry. So if Alpha Panda isn't already MIA, he can overturn my ban with a "no, please".
