That ... is kinda ... strange, considering she has no burst to speak of.
Even so, isn't she like most other AP assassins? (Diana, Akali, urm, LeBlanc?) The team has to know how to peel and protect.

She's more like Mordekaiser except she can get close more easily. Her ult scales by 2%/100 AP. So at the usual 600AP it's doing ~37% of their current health in one-shot burst (better than Morde's one-shot burst though worse than his longterm damage). Then you add to that DFG, Lichbane and the 1.0 Ravage and surprisingly decent constant damage from Hate Spike (it's kinda similar to Cassiopeia Q really) and then remember that Evelynn is superfast late and the cloaking does allow her to get pretty close without being seen and she becomes positively scary.
When I assessed Eve AP originally, I didn't realize just how good an AP ratio her ult has. It's positively amazing. So yeah, she can be dealt with but she does hurt.

Late game, not really useful imho. Main strength is in enabling snowballing on the other lanes with her ganks to close the game in mid-game stages.
No DFG to speak of? That's really strange, since that's pretty much the core for AP Eve from what I've seen. That plus her ult will pretty much gib the ADC; that's her role in late game fights from what I've seen. Where's Eve? Wher--- oh. There goes the carry.

I'd totally agree with this. Having played a game yesterday as Corki against an AP eve, until I built Banshee's I was a shadow of a player in teamfights. I'd manage to get a bit of dps out but once she was on me even with a Valk away I was still dying easily. After the banshees, and telling my team they HAD to stop Eve (and fast), it was more managable.
Most deaths would end up with Hate spike at around 500 damage, DFG at 3-400, Ravage at a similar level and the ult at a similar level (obviously can only see 3 damage sources per death so not sure on all of them). But the fact she can kill an ADC on her own means she's incredibly dangerous. If they don't have the ability to get away, like Corki does, then they're in even more trouble. Plus the shield on her ult can be huge if she gets the right number of people in it.

The assassin with up to a 1500HP shield should *NOT* be building RoA+Rylai's, so I'm going out on a limb here, and saying you've not seen a good Eve.
Also, as others have said, DFG is *INCREDIBLY* common on AP mid Eve at my Elo.

Poor Kog'maw.... not cute enough to be considered Pokemon.
unlike Venipede here
edit: I wonder how the Honor system will turn out. Frankly I think judging someone's friendliness through a single game experience will be highly inaccurate. I foresee some honor assignment regrets.

Somewhere in the announcement/discussion thread, there's a red post saying that, at least for now, they are intentionally not awarding anything for high Honor. They made that decision because they specifically want to identify the people who act honorably because it's honorable, not the people who would act honorably because they want associated rewards.
They might add some kind of reward eventually, but any discussion they might be having on that subject is being kept strictly internal to avoid influencing the current system in a way they don't want right now.
This is, however, only phase 1 of the Honor system. They have plans for more, and I would guess that somewhere in those plans is an attempt to more overtly influence player behavior with a reward system - eventually.

My first game of LoL in two months?
This happens:
Spoiler
I honestly can say this was my favorite game of all time.
The picture doesn't do it justice. We lost a couple of the lanes early, and ended up pushed into our base with one nexus tower dead.
And we turned it around. Not in one lucky fight and a run down the middle. We turned around teamfights through pure skill and coordination several times, took baron, pushed towers, and won the game.

Well, I just did a dominion game and played normally. Then we were engaged in a teamfight and chaos ensues, and then the enemy all dies where we don't lose anyone. I then leave the teamfight with <100 health left wondering how I survived and Eve/Kha'zix/Rengar focus and noticed that my Lulu ulted me. I responded in my usual fasion, "Oh, I was wondering why I didn't die. Thnx Lulu" and hse replied "Np" back. Then later Sion takes the bot turret after killing the Maokai guarding it and I reply "gj sion" and he replies back "thnx", Everywhere and everytime we did something good from then on, we were saying "gj" "Nice" and "thnx" all throughout the game (Except when our annie started to rage) and we won handily.
We then go into post game chat and I see the new honor system and it sort of made sense. I don't know if these guys were just smiling for the honor system or not, but they were friendly enough I gave them all (except annie) a friendly honor mark. As for me, I was just being myself, so I feel good.

Really? Because I see this as a parallel. Whatever the reasoning is, you end up with less people being nasty and more being constructive.

I think it'd be cool if they used it for matchmaking. I'd like to think that, as far as networking goes, people with high honor will be more likely to have friend requests accepted, etc.
Also: If you have high honor and feed, but don't say anything in chat and it doesn't look intentional, I suspect people will be less willing to report you.

I guess I met not so competent Eves, no DFG. But they were really a pain being so thick and outputting constant dps with Hate Spike. Another factor could be all three games I played with, we had good peel and sheilds (Alistar, Janna, Karma), plus they knew to look out for Eve zerging the carry.
Now all this Eve talk makes me want to play mid Eve myself!
sonofzeal, you're like a megazord of awesome and win.
