Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
I hope that's not the whole thing, because by comparison it just feels bad.
Of course, that might just be because this time around I've played League long enough that... Well, you remember that commentary they did treating it as actual gameplay and saying how much sense it didn't make? That's playing thorugh my head for every time they take cover, or get knocked back, or when MF lost a gun. Oh, and meleeing Swain while he's ulting, without any hard CC?

He's more mobile, he has better level 1 summoners, and his skills are simply much more relevant at that stage of the game. Rammus can't really apply a lot of pressure to Shaco's jungle since Shaco can just gank instead and he has overwhelmingly superior matchups in that regard. There are some champions that Rammus just can't gank, and Shaco doesn't have that problem.
Frankly, though, at every stage of the game Shaco more-or-less wishes he were Lee Sin and for the vast majority of the game Rammus wishes that he was Skarner.

I've bought Bug Guy.
What that means is that I now play more Yorick top. Because ... I really want to try Kha'Zix top, but I keep getting opponents against which I feel he'd do badly. So I play Yorick instead.
So far, that has led to all wins. So I guess it's points well spent.

Well of course. Honestly, why would anyone even want a video that was 100% loyal to gameplay? With how LoL works in gameplay, choices are, either you have some choreography and a fight that looks like people fighting, or you have gameplay fidelity .

Runes : 8.5 AD Reds / 13 Armor Yellows / 12 MR Blues / 8.1 Hp regen /5 Quints
If you don't have HP Regen/5 you can use AD or Mspd Quints, but I feel for Jax, HP regen is too good
Summoners: Ghost/Ignite
Skill order: 1 rank in QWE first, then R>Q>W>E
When Jax reaches Lv 3 with 1 rank in QWE, he can fight better. Before Lv 3, he usually just quietly farms and avoid fighting or trading.
Of course if they come in to trade you, fight back and not just run away~
Pre-6 Jax is weak, which is which I prefer HP regen quints, plus he has two skills that let him disengage
Don't get poked under tower and you should be able to farm under it easily.
Once you hit 6, find a chance to push the wave and blue pill, this is when you are strongest in the game. Whether or not you grasp this advantage will determine your victory.
Therefore the first items you buy on your first back are extremely important. I will buy items according to who I'm laning against.
Irelia: 2 dorans + HP crystal -> Phage
When fighting Irelia after 6, its better to walk up to hit her and use E to chase, followed by Q then R. If you use E to engage a Irelia who knows what she is doing, she will just Q a minion to dodge your stun before coming back to fight you. If you continue to engage, you might not win against her.
Gangplank: Ninja Table + double dorans -> Wriggles
Ninja Tabi is a must against GP as it reduces his Q by 10%.
Nidalee: Phage
Nidalee likes to jump and claw you then jump away again. So you need to rush a Phage and depend on the short cooldown on Q, it shouldn't be too difficult.
Vlad: Vamp Scepter -> Phage (If you have a big advantage buy Philo Stone + MR Cloak)
Don't get kited by his Q. If he tries to harassed you under tower, find a chance to Jump Stun him. Post-6 you can chase with ignite, ghost and R.
Singed: Philostone + MR Cloak -> Phage
Don't chase Singed. When engaging on Singed, if you proc a Phage hit, fight, if you don't, don't chase so that you don't eat too much damage from his poison gas.
Rumble: Vamp Scepter -> Phage (If you have a big advantage buy Philo Stone + MR Cloak)
Rumble is actually afraid of heroes fiercer than he is as once his ass faces the enemy, he is useless. Post 6, if he over extends you can activate ignite and R to engage, ghost to chase. He can only run.
Olaf: double dorans blade -> Phage
Pre-6, fighting Olaf is difficult. Post-6, once you're back with dorans blades you can happily engage and trade with him.
Shen: Philostone + MR Cloak -> Phage
The best way to fight shen is to ward up and keep pushing his tower. This ensure that if he Ults to other lanes, top lane will definitely lose a tower.
Darius: double dorans shield -> Phage
Jax should do well against Darius
Jax is a hero I've come to enjoy playing as previously I did not try him as I thought he sucked. After playing with him I've realised he is strong! XDD I hope everyone will give him a try.

Ham isn't on GitP, and hasn't been on Mumble lately :(
Huh, I had no idea tables were so good against pirates. I'd imagine one would do good damage if you flipped it on top of him, and it doubles as a shield against his bullets while it's on its side.

No, see, my mic is too terrible to transmit anything else. As for noise, I was referring to talking in itself. My parents go ballistic if they hear the slightest sound from my room, as does my sister, which is problematic.

Let's see, jungling jungling jungling, oh look I just bought Skarner, that seems like a good idea. I see Philo-HoG-Shurelya's+Shroud+Treads+Wit's as a suggested core, I have a decent AS jungler runepage, so I guess I'm looking for mastery tweaks off a 0/21/9 base, and playstyle tips&tricks. Also, when to start Regrowth vs. Boots.

Aw, sorry to hear you had a bad game. Yeah, the community can be a bit toxic, at times.
I had a game there as Leblanc where I was actually being competent for once(Ohmygoddess I am still freaking out over the fact that I did half-way decently as LB, even though I shouldn't have, as their mid AFKed for a few minutes at the start), and we had a Fiora was just... anti-fun. If Shaco and I went to gank her lane, she complained non-stop that I was KSing. If I went bot after seeing Nocturne camping in the brush, counter-gank bot, and walk out with a double kill, I'm being a useless KSer. If I go back down to bot in a few minutes and feed Twitch a double kill, I'm still useless. If I have as much or more kills than the enemy team, and fed Twitch 5 or 6 kills by mid game, then I'm a useless KSer, again. I get caught out by their team, to my own fault, and she takes this to mean we lose the game.
And ugh, the "WE HAVE TO WIN AT ALL COSTS" mentality, which disappeared the second she complained she wanted to solo baron while we took down their nexus and, y'know, won the game. Everyone else was super nice, though, and the most amazing thing happened; we got in a really bad situation for a fight(our Fiora and Taric cut off from the rest of us, the enemy team chasing them), and on the way our Twitch says he wishes he could get a penta kill. One slaughter in our favour later, Twitch walks out with a pentakill.
The only bad thing is I was so happy at the end of the game, that I forgot to report that Fiora for being so thrice-damned anti-fun and unpleasant.
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Had a game yesterday, playing Eve mid against Lux. Over the course of the 40 odd minute game I dropped Lux under 100hp 6 times, 3 times I had my ult up in under 3 seconds. She got the kill every time despite 3 of them being in teamfights.
Has there been any info on the next champion release or is everything beng kept quiet due to the finals stuff?
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
LADEEEEEEEEEZZZZ AND GEEEENTLEMEEEENNNNNNNNNN.......
....I just got my first official Pentakill.
Okay, okay, it was against bots. I'd no idea how Pantheon worked, and wanted that first win of the day after a couple disappointing PvP Dominion games as Crabgot. How little did I know Pantheon, you ask? I spent the first five minutes thinking my Q was a skillshot, that's how little I knew Pantheon (and how braindead I was after a heavy workweek - you'd have thought the targetting indicator would have clarified immediately, but nooo).
By ten minutes in I have almost every single kill for our whole team, the assist on the others, and every turret kill. And at the 20 minute mark I got my first ever official Pentakill... followed a minute later by picking up a second Ace.
sonofzeal, you're like a megazord of awesome and win.

1.Bladed Armor and Indomitable are 100 times more useful than you'd expect in the jungle.
2.You generally start regrowth on junglers who either don't plan on early aggression or don't need MS to do it. I get by fine with it on Mao(Twisted Advance is generally all I need for a successful first gank), but since Skarner is fairly point-blank like Udyr, as well as being highly aggressive in the jungle, I doubt he can get by without boots.
3.Shurelya's is an ult amplification item on Skarner, so yeah, you're right, its kinda core. So was Sheen, last I heard.
4.From what I hear, Skarner jungle is like Jayce. You don't really need all your skills. Ignore that heal entirely and focus your Q and Shield.
5.You've got one of the fastest clear times in the game, abuse this fact whenever possible. Know your opposition and take their jungle whenever they're on the opposite side of the map from you. With a strong leash on blue, this includes swiping their red out from under a blue-start slow jungler.
(You probably knew some of that, but I figured being thorough was better)

Panth OP?
Grats - even vs. bots, it must be a nice feeling =)
Best I've done (vs bots as well) was an accidental quadra. Still felt plenty good.

The quadra was an accident this time, but the moment it came up I was looking frantically for the last person - and they were right there, at low health, in the middle of the rest of my team, and I was like "KS THAT AND YOU'RE DEAD" except not actually typing that because I was too busy mashing buttons.... and actually getting it was an amazing feeling.
