Don't worry about us, we can try to hold back our OOTS addiction long enough. Resting is really important, so I hope you get a nice break during this time! Thank you for all the comics, I really enjoy reading them.

Just read the Kickstarter update. Poor Giant! Rest as long as you need to, and I hope the recovery process is smooth and uneventful (and quick, obviously, but I don't want to sound like I'm rushing you and you should definitely not hurt yourself worse trying to do things before you've recovered, so yeah).

Dang, that's really tough luck Giant.
Take all the time you need to recover, as several of the others have noted we're not going anywhere. Best of luck in your recovery, I look forward to seeing what happens next in the Order of the Stick. Your work is truly extraordinary and (in my opinion) worth any wait.

Here's hoping you'll find a cleric to cast Cure Serious Wounds!

At first I was bummed by the unfortunate news, but I quickly start to look on the bright side: I'll be able (to try) to not check the site a number of times daily for a new strip. I'll get more focused on my studying. Best wishes to the Giant with the hope that he can use the recovery time to get a really good and healing rest, so that when he's done he can be rejuvenatedly fresh and at his best.

Ouch--not fun: I'm recuperating from far more planned surgery right now, and it has definitely been a frustrating experience waiting for the aftermath to go away. Take your time and get well--we'll be waiting when you get back.
