With the Kingdom of Missonii (Miss-Own-E) at war with the Bloodrock Clan to the north and attempting to control the Pirates of the Hibyrn sea to the south-east, it's demand for soldiers willing to fight on land, or at sea was high.

Having lived your life hearing tales of the heroes and heroins of the army, you always wished you could join that life, but alas your family had other plans. You ended up working mundane tasks, going to school, being taken to monasteries to train, or sent to the local Arcane Asylum to hone your skills. Spending your free time preparing to become a hero of tales, and when you heard of the Kingdom wide recruitment you jumped at the chance to join, with the restrictions lifted you no longer needed to be a skillfully trained warrior to join, and so you were able to finally get your foot in the door.

However that door was easier opened, and you were accepted in to what you thought would be all epic battles, and heroic actions. You were wrong. You spent your 2 months at boot camp, being trained to swing a sword, sling a spell, or fire a volley of arrows, taught drill, marching, saluting, stances, and speaking to higher ups. You were turned from a child in to a man, after graduating things stayed just as bad, being labelled as the worst of your classes, you were sent to 3rd Battalion, where it was rumored all the worst soldiers were sent, the first unit sent to battle, and usually with high casualties. Though dismayed you eventually proved yourself somewhat, and were no longer treated as scum by 3rd Bats command staff.

As the best of the accused worst troops your quest starts when you were arranged in to a new squad, and ordered to Missoni Castle to meet your squad mates, your Commander, and be given your newest mission, always hopeful to prove yourself as an able troop, to find your skill, and show your commanders what you can do...

So first off, this is a game where yes, you are amateur soldiers in an army of professionals, and they despise your lack of skill, you will be shown disrespect until you show skill, and such. This game will be a mix of RP within the Squad, and the larger army itself, as well as fighting for the army, your life, your comrades, and perhaps more personal things. This will not be constant deployments you'll have down time at home after deployments to rest/be with family/buy things/etc (deployments being missions usually). I did steal the idea from BelGareths, though changed it some :P

Style of Play: RP/Combat/Mystery?
Allowed Content: PHBs are fine, ask for the most part I'll say yes.

Character Creation:

• Backstory: I would like a few paragraphs on your history, motivations to join the army, family/friends, etc.
• Experience: First level
• Wealth: 500Gp to buy equipment, the army allows use of personal gear (rather it's mandatory they just give you 500Gp to buy it.
• Ability Scores: 32Pb
• Hitpoints/Health: Max at first rolled after with one re-roll
• Alignment: No restrictions, no stupidness.

I intend on playing a goofball duskblade, which is why he's in the army in the first place. He takes his training seriously, but pissed off his superiors a few too many times.

Hmm... definately caught my interest here. Still mulling over what to be. We have a duskblade, factotum, favored soul, cleric, bard, and rogue/scout... I guess the senible picks would be either a dedicated arcane caster or a dedicated melee combatant. I'll think on it and get back to you later today.

I've decided to go with a Human Wizard specializing in Conjuration. I have given up necromancy and evocation spells. His primary purpose will be battlefield manipulation. Providing support through a variety of buffs, debuff's, summons, and distractions.

I wish to join as a Halforc Barbarian, trained as a shock trooper to assualt enemy lines and draw attention from other troops. Is that acceptable?

Edit: Can I use the Whirling Frenzy variant of the Rage ability? To represent that my barbarian's ferocity in battle comes from training instead of tapping into an inner anger.

Psionics are a no right away, and yes 2 flaws/1 trait both optional.

ACFs are generally fine. 2 Flaws and 1 trait, all are optional.

I would like to go Barbarian, the kinda guy who will punch anyone's lights out if he gets pissed off. TBH i would love to actually use a WHIP but idk because of the armor and non lethal damage. Other than that i would love to join!

Probably human with the variant feat that gives you powerful build and going whirling frenzy, depending on how well i play the character will determine where i go. Anything from Fighter to Dusk blade is probably on the table

EDIT: there is already a barb so ill probably change it up a fair amount how ever i still really want to use a whip

Sounds like SA would be difficult unless we have a way of denying dex or unique flanking rules. Maybe if I go scout or something... I want to say duskblade but I have yet to play one. Reach wise what are your rules for being large(huge) with a large(huge) whip? And so on and so forth. What about medium with a large whip?
