Do you think you'd be able to get your hands on the first part of CotCT?
It'd take some time. I'd have to buy it off of Amazon, and they have very limited supplies of it.
Plus...I kinda wanted to play in CotCT, as that's the one I like the most. I either wanna play a summoner or oracle that shares his soul with an angel a la Anders in Dragon Age II, or some kind of rogue/duelist type who was rescued as a child by Blackjack and wants nothing more than to become the Robin to Blackjack's Batman. From the books I do have...there's a certain sword I've become obsessed with.
I also have ideas for characters for Second Darkness and Rise of the Runelords, but the CotCT character is what I have the most ideas for. Plus, are there plans to run Shattered Star simultaneously with Jade Regent?

I'm pretty sure we already have a GM for CotCT, Cleric Cromwell has showed interest in GMing that also I can see how my paladin might like a half-angel on his team. I think we can play Jade Regent along with the other three but maybe after the first part of RotRL is done seen as Ameiko is quite important in Burnt Offerings. I don't know about the other two APs buti don't think we have to wait that long. I especially like having the three brother idea, I wonder where I got that idea from, AZ?

Moi?
I'm uncertain as to how to connect my three main intended character ideas. Plus there's the chance I'll want to go with the Blackjack fanboy in CotCT instead.
So many decisions!

How will all the characters have connections to one another then? I thought that was the point of this mass-campaign.

Gonna have to agree. I thought we'd be doing one game after another. Not all of them at once.
It would definitely be easier that way. Or at least we could start one AP now and another, say, a month later. It's enough of a hassle to get one character done, but four at once... now that's a pain in the tuchus.

That is a good idea, OK announcement:
Everyone make their characters for Rise of the Runelords, after we have finsihed the first part of that, we will start on CotCT and after the first part of that we will start Second Darkness and after the first part of that we will start Jade Regent. How does that sound?

Sounds good to me. I was toying with the idea of a Verdant Sorcerer, but further background is undefined so far. What was Nex's opinion on sorcerers? I need to dig up my Location Index.

If memory serves, Nex is pretty much a long-standing if heavily factioned magocracy, so I would figure sorcerers would be more common in there than they would be in other parts. Heck, a verdant sorcerer might be even considered blessed, an epitome of renewal and rebirth since the once-fertile lands of Nex were blasted to wastes in the archmage's ancient war with Geb.

But that's just a gut feeling I'm getting...
What I recalled was that sorcerers were basicaly laughed out the door, since they weren't super awsome totaly radical wizard dudes. But yours sounds a lot better than mine.
The alternative class that I was pondering was Seige Mage Wizard. Dunno if that would fly in any of those adventure paths though.

Like I said, mine was just a gut feeling, not anything official. But it's pretty much always that way with sorcerers. They are either hated/feared/ridiculed or adored/loved/respected/worshipped as gods.
*note i started writing this at 11 pst and didn't finish until after 3 pst so some of this is a little off
i'm always up for a good challenge all 4 at once sounds devious but good
should we all run with the brothers theme?
i still need to check out the other APs but i think i have some characters in mind
if we are running with the brothers theme
the great orc warlord of the cinderlands Chorgin Ripmaw claimed a group of human female slaves so that he might breed half-orc heirs. as the sons grew of age they were given tasks.
Kurgin Dreadhoof, cavalier (emissary archetype, think dothraki/ mongol/hun horse raider) the shining star of the trio (in their fathers eyes), strong and quick, a breaker of horses, raider of the plains. he takes after his father, with dark eyes and green skin, and pronounced tusks, he is head strong and and stubborn. he was leading a raiding party when his fellows turned on him, saying "your father is dead and there is no more place for half bloods." then he blacked out as he was clubbed into submission. he awakes tied to his horse, which is plodding aimlessly through the desert, though something can be seen on the horizon
Jubal Alehammer, Brewpriest(cleric) of Cayden Cailean (strength and liberation domains) Jubal was a bit of an oddity, he was a clear throw back to his mothers side as he passes for human with relative ease, light of skin and with no hint of tusks at all, his orcish heritage only given away by his heavy brow and fearsome, roaring laugh. amongst the orcs of his clan he is jokingly referred to as Alehammer for the noses he has broken in drunken brawls with bottles and tankards of black beer, though out of earshot he is mockingly referred to as "the half-human." due to his appearance and his gregarious nature he is often used as an emissary to larger towns and cities to make deals for weapons or goods. being amongst non-orcs gives him plenty of opportunity to visit taverns and enjoy comradery and drink with other races. it was in such a tavern that he learned of his fathers death. though he was already well into his cups, he began to drink heavily with renewed vigor, from that point on things became much harder to remember, but at some point a halfling pushed him, and Jubal threw him into the a table of gnomes. after that all was blackness until he awoke, his eye blackened, some teeth loose, the handle of a shattered mug in his hand, and a holy symbol around his neck. in his drunken stupor he had found a group of Starstone Brewers, and he had found religion. i worked for a long time at the holy practice of brewing in the name of the Lucky Drunk, and was becoming quite good at it, until one day...
Tarkin, inquisitor of Torag (tactics inquisition). where Kurgin was true orcish green, and Jubal the color of thick foam of a stout beer, Tarkin is the grey of ash, and so is his attitude. he was slight for a half-orc, but quick and cunning, though often melancholy, when he was just a youngling on his first raid his party was ambushed by dwarves. when the slaughter was over one of the dwarves spotted young tarkin and moved to end his life, but the leader of the group stepped in and said "No the lad comes with us, the forge father has a use for him." and so it was that not one but two of the sons of Ripmaw had found religion. the dwarves of the forge father shaped Tarkin's mind and body, forged him into a weapon of the faith. though he is accepted among the clergy, the average dwarf is uneasy about a half-orc who worships the lord of the dwarves, so he has been tasked with helping local law enforcement bring law breakers to justice, though should the opportunity to lay low those who would stand against the will of the forge, tarkin will not hesitate. he has just recently received his inquisitorship and is about to embark on his first assignment
staggering the APs makes sense too, and if we aren't continuing the brothers theme, then i will change the characters accordingly though will probably keep these same classes

My players appear to have actually gotten our game on its way to start, so I don't think I'll have time for a campaign this big. Sorry. Although as I said if anyone has need of the AP files drop me a PM.

[Sorry, Boss, but now, as always, I get the last word.]
I can't decide between two of my planned RotRL characters. One's a mage of some sort who's obsessed with Thasillonian history and magic, and learns much more about that ancient empire than he ever would have wanted over the course of the campaign, afterwards dedicating his life to finding and keeping the remaining Runelords imprisoned, and finding some way to destroy them. The other is a halfling cavalier of the Order of the Paw, dedicated to protecting places like Sandpoint and Turtleback Ferry. He follows the group less out of a desire to adventure and more to protect these out of the way villages from the raiding groups of monsters we'll encounter throughout the story.

The first draft of the big sixteen, if any GMs want to cahnge anything just say and I'll edit it.
1. What game system are you running (D&D, Call of Cthulu, Palladium, GURPS, etc.), and if applicable what edition (Original, Classic, Revised, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, etc.)?
Pathfinder
2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (eg. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)?
In the land of Varisia all of the four APs seem to be set in.
3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many?
7 people in total, the four GMs will get in and the other three will be chosen, no alternatives.
4. What's the gaming medium (OOTS, chat, e-mail etc.)?
PbP on GitPG
5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)?
All of them start at lvl 1 0xp
6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with?
Roll if it's lower than average, take average by class.
7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes?
All in the Core, APG, UM and UC are fine and I like prestige classes.
8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species?
I'm quite picky about only allowing core races. This isn't subject to change.
9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points?
4d6b3 or 20 point buy.
10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so?
All aslong as you can get along with the team.
11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
Multi-classing is fine.
12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them?
The GMs will make there own secret rolls, evryone else can do it over the fourm roller.
13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.
Not that I know of.
14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?
A good few paragraphs would be nice.
15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above?
I think APs are generally quite balanced.
16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?
Core, APG, UM, UC is generally allowed anything else, pass by the GM for that game.
... Level one start? Huh. Kind of throws a wrench in my backstory. See, for the RotL character, I kind of intended on her having clerical and wizardly training... I guess I could pick up Cleric at second level and just say that she didn't have the full religious connection needed for clerical spellcasting beforehand?

You were right North_Ranger, and then some. Nex counts monsters, mutants, and Outsiders as citizens. Sorcerers are the LEAST strangest thing over there. So, taking that into consideration, I'll make a mutant human/plant hybrid hailing from Nex.

Kaseem was born into a powerful Kelish merchant family with good looks and a keen intellect. Having little interest in the affairs of local merchants however, Kaseem became engrossed in various academic and artistic pursuits. Considered somewhat of a prodigy by the age of 14, he managed to attend a somewhat prestigious bardic college. While he did well in his studies, he never felt that those in charge fully appreciated his abilities and grew resentful of their authority. He figured as long as he kept with this path one day he would work for one of the courts possibly as an entertainer for monarchs or an emissary to other nations, which were fine positions, so he tempered his resentment.
Kaseem was forced to leave his academy prematurely following the mysterious disappearance of his teacher, who was rumored to have been involved in some strange business outside the organization. His merchant family decided to send him to be with a distant relative in Varisia around the age of 17. He was to help out his cousin in Kaer Maga, who made a living by selling weapons.
Kaseem was enthralled by Kaer Maga the minute he laid eyes on the city, having spent most of his life in a bardic academy with only wealthy Kele****es for company. The city’s anarchic nature brought about a great change in him in just 2 years. Daily life in the city could occasionally be violent with the rampant gangs, strange cults and deranged wizards.
While Kaseem made few friends, due to the arrogant way he carried himself and his clannish mentality, he eventually managed to deal with living in a land with seemingly few rules. His cousin helped him refine his fighting technique and he learned to prepare himself for any eventuality. Eventually he felt that it would have been best to leave the city out of a combination of wanderlust and fear due to a feeling that he may have stepped on the toes of some of the wrong people. He started to wander Varisia, hoping to become an adventurer.
Kaseem is a dusky skinned, broad-shouldered nineteen year old with dark hair and eyes who dresses himself in expensive looking clothing. He usually openly carries a wide variety of different weapons and camping equipment. The young Keli****e man seems to dissect people with his eyes when he first meets them and acts in a detached manner to the groups he looks down upon to prevent conflict.
I'm not absolutely clear on how this is going to go, but here's my submission. The character is a young bard who lived in Kaer Maga basically.
